Ten tools, two jobs: taking every call from your customers and routing it to the right person, then calling prospects and customers without wasting time between two numbers. To help you choose your business phone system, this ranking compares ten solutions on call handling, outbound calling, AI and how clear their prices are. Each profile draws on the vendor's public pages (homepage, features, pricing), viewed in October 2026.

  2. Ringover: for salespeople and recruiters who want to make calls and fill their CRM in one place.
  3. RingCentral: for multi-site companies that want phone, meetings and fax in a single subscription.
  4. Dialpad: for customer service teams that want to hand part of their conversations to autonomous AI agents.
  5. CloudTalk: for teams that call in several countries with local numbers shared between agents and AI.
  6. JustCall: for sales teams that want several dialing modes, SMS and WhatsApp.

  10. Diabolocom: for contact centers that want proprietary AI hosted in France.

Why does the choice of business phone software matter in 2027?

The copper network, which carried landline telephony in France, is being shut down. According to Arcep, France's telecoms regulator, Orange, which owns almost all of this network, announced its technical shutdown at the end of 2019, business services included. The schedule, split into batches, provides for implementation from 2023 and completion in 2030. The shutdown will affect every user of these services, whatever their provider: if your phone system still depends on these lines, check the date planned for your municipality.

The rules for outbound calls also changed this summer. Since August 11, 2026, commercial cold calling has been banned in principle in France, for companies in every industry. A prospecting call to a consumer remains possible in only two cases: it relates to an existing contract, or the person has given prior consent. That consent lasts one year at most, with no tacit renewal, and the company must be able to prove it obtained it. Calls are allowed only Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. (French time), and Bloctel, the French do-not-call registry, ceased to exist on that date.

The number your contact sees on their screen is also checked. In a press release of January 29, 2026, Arcep points out that the law of July 24, 2020 requires carriers to authenticate the caller's number and to cut off calls whose number is not properly authenticated, a mechanism rolled out gradually since October 2024. Reports of number spoofing received by the regulator rose from 531 in 2023 to more than 19,000 in 2025.

How did we rank this software?

To decide between these phone systems and dialers, in October 2026 we read the homepage, the feature list and the pricing grid published by each vendor, and nothing else. No paid subscription was taken out to test the tools, no partnership ties us to the vendors, and displayed customer counts or review scores play no part. Four criteria counted.

1. Inbound call handling. IVR (interactive voice response, the menu that directs the caller), routing by hours or skills, queues, automatic callback, available numbers and keeping your current numbers.

2. Outbound calls. Dialers (power dialer, which works through a list of calls one after another, predictive or parallel mode), voicemail drop, calling campaigns and management of the numbers displayed.

3. AI and integrations. Transcription, summaries, coaching, voice agents that answer in place of the team, and sync with your CRM or your helpdesk (customer support software).

4. A clear offer for a buyer in France. Prices published in euros, whether they are excl. or incl. VAT, minimum number of users, commitment period, options billed separately and a free trial.

The 10 best business phone software: the profiles

1. Aircall

Aircall covers traditional business telephony as well as the call center. Calls, SMS and WhatsApp messages land in a shared inbox, synced with your CRM, helpdesk and business tools. The phone system includes IVR, cascading routing or routing by time and date, a queue with callback requests and local numbers all over the world.

AI assistants transcribe every call, analyze sentiment and topics, then update the CRM; the AI Virtual Agents answer around the clock and hand off complex cases with the full history. The Power Dialer imports up to 1,000 numbers and calls them one after another.

Best for: support and sales teams that want a phone system, a call center and AI voice agents in the same tool, connected to their CRM or their helpdesk.

Strengths: unlimited inbound calls, 1,000 minutes of domestic outbound calls per user and AI transcription from the Essentials offer; more than 250 advertised integrations, including HubSpot, Zendesk, Pipedrive and Slack; AI Voice Agents usable with or without the phone system, in 38 languages.

Limitations: the Power Dialer, outbound campaigns and live monitoring start at the Professional offer, and unlimited international calls are reserved for the Enterprise offer. The comparison table sets a minimum number of users, and Analytics+, WhatsApp and AI Assist Pro are add-ons.

Pricing: price checked on October 10, 2026, Essentials at €30 and Professional at €50 per license per month, VAT treatment not stated; Enterprise on custom pricing. The page offers monthly or annual payment (25% savings on annual): ask the vendor which mode the displayed price corresponds to. Extra number at €6 per month.

Aircall's homepage highlights an AI that handles customer interactions from start to finish.

2. Ringover

Ringover centralizes calls, messages, emails and video calls in an AI-enhanced interface. Its cloud telephony offers virtual landline and mobile numbers in 65 countries, toll-free numbers, porting of your current numbers, an IVR set up in a few clicks, time-based routing and greeting messages in 16 languages.

The vendor also sells Airo, a conversational AI agent that answers, qualifies and books meetings, Meet.us for sales video calls and Empower for conversation analytics. Call transcription and summaries are included in the telephony offers, and Business adds automatic CRM filling.

Best for: sales and recruiting teams that want to make calls and feed their CRM or their ATS (applicant tracking system) from the same tool.

Strengths: unlimited calls to more than 110 countries, Power Dialer, call listening and whispering from the Business offer; AI agents included and unlimited in every telephony offer; 7-day free trial for the Talk offer.

Limitations: the Talk, Business and Unified offers require at least 3 users and carry the note "12-month commitment"; Enterprise starts at 50 users. Call and SMS campaigns are a paid option.

Pricing: price checked on October 10, 2026, the page shows two amounts for the Talk offer, €19 and €29 per user per month excl. VAT, with a choice between monthly and annual payment (20% off); likewise for Business (€49 and €69) and Unified (€69 and €89). Amount to confirm with the vendor.

3. RingCentral

RingCentral brings phone, messaging, video, contact center and virtual events together on a cloud platform. Its telephony product, RingEX, combines calls, team messaging, meetings and fax in one app, with a single number for calls and faxes. Transferring your existing numbers is free, and the vendor advertises more than 500 integrations.

Routing is built by drag and drop. Personal AI Assistant, presented as included at no extra cost, transcribes calls and produces recaps with the decisions and the actions to take.

Best for: companies that manage several sites or international teams and want calls, messaging, meetings and fax in a single subscription.

Strengths: video meetings of up to 300 participants and multi-level IVR from the Standard offer; multi-site management, single sign-on (SSO) and integration with Zendesk or Salesforce in the Premium offer; a migration service with assessment, installation and support.

Limitations: each offer includes a volume of free minutes per user, from 100 for Essentials to 2,000 for Ultimate. Unlimited calls within the EMEA zone (Europe, Middle East and Africa) are available neither on Essentials nor for accounts with fewer than 20 users, and add-ons go through a quote.

Pricing: price checked on October 10, 2026, the RingEX page shows two amounts per offer, with the vendor advertising up to 38% savings on annual billing: Essentials at €15.99 and €20.99, Standard at €22.99 and €28.99, Premium at €28.99 and €34.99, Ultimate at €39.99 and €45.99 per month per user, VAT treatment not stated. The amounts also vary with the number of users selected on the page (1, 2 to 19, 20 to 99, 100 and more). Amounts to confirm with the vendor.

4. Dialpad

Dialpad brings an omnichannel contact center, business communications and AI agents together on one platform, with proprietary AI. Its AI agents schedule appointments, process orders or handle refunds, by voice as well as on digital channels, 24/7.

The feature list covers the phone system (auto attendant, IVR, call parking and forwarding, toll-free numbers, number porting), the contact center (automatic call distribution, queues, customer callback) and sales (power dialer, voicemail drop).

Best for: customer service and sales teams that want to hand part of their conversations to AI agents.

Strengths: AI agents billed per conversation, with a credit used only when the AI retrieves information or carries out an action; thousands of customers handled at once over voice, chat, SMS and email; 14-day free trial of Dialpad Connect.

Limitations: the AI agent is bought separately, as a pool of credits, and its bill follows the number of billable conversations. The offer is split into four bundles (AI Agent, Support, Sell and Connect) to pick according to use.

Pricing: no amount published on the pricing page; Connect, Support and Sell plans, and AI agents billed per conversation through credits.

Homepage of the Dialpad software
Dialpad puts the entire customer experience on a single AI-driven platform.

5. CloudTalk

CloudTalk is a business phone system for sales and support, where your team and AI voice agents share the same queues, integrations and numbers. Local numbers cover more than 160 countries, and the AI agents speak more than 70 languages and accents.

You assign each number to your team, to an AI agent or to both, then you distribute calls by hours, by queue size or by task. The AI takes the slots you choose: outside business hours, call peaks or lead qualification.

Best for: sales and support teams working across several countries that want a local number for each market.

Strengths: numbers rotated automatically to avoid being flagged as spam; porting of your current numbers, whatever the carrier; 14-day free trial with no credit card, with 50 free minutes of AI.

Limitations: the pricing page lists the cost of each feature separately (power dialer, IVR, contact center, softphone, the software phone installed on a computer): add up the building blocks you need to estimate the bill.

Pricing: cost detailed by feature on the vendor's site; 14-day free trial.

6. JustCall

JustCall gathers calls, SMS and follow-ups on an AI platform for sales and support teams. Its cloud phone system includes multi-level voice menus, queues with callback, routing by skill, language, time zone or caller history, and numbers in more than 70 countries.

The dialer combines five modes (power, predictive, dynamic, parallel and preview), and a shared inbox brings together SMS, MMS and WhatsApp. The AI scores each call against a custom scorecard, and the AI Voice Agent answers inbound calls, qualifies, books the meeting and hands over to a salesperson.

Best for: sales teams that make a lot of calls and want SMS and WhatsApp in the same tool.

Strengths: more than 70 native integrations, including HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Zoho, plus Zapier and a REST API; live listening, whispering and barging to train new salespeople; 14-day free trial with no credit card.

Limitations: the site and the pricing pages exist only in English. The AI features (call scoring, coaching, voice agents) belong to the JustCall AI offer, and the AI Voice Agent is sold as an option.

Pricing: prices published in dollars on the site, with up to 29% savings advertised on annual payment.

7. Kavkom

Kavkom provides cloud telephony that serves both as a business phone system and as a call center. You activate numbers in more than 60 countries, with free porting of your lines, and the vendor advertises a 5-minute setup and integration with CRMs such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho and Pipedrive.

Kavkom highlights its outbound calling tools: predictive calling, answering machine detection, call scripts, an automated dialer, a GDPR blacklist and NPVs (numéros polyvalents vérifiés, the verified multipurpose numbers required in France) for automated calling campaigns.

Best for: prospecting teams and call centers that run predictive or automated calling campaigns.

Strengths: unlimited inbound and internal calls from the Pack Basic, with IVR, real-time monitoring and a hybrid CRM; discreet listening, whispering and barging to coach agents; support 7 days a week.

Limitations: the mobile number, the choice of outbound number, native integrations and AI transcription start at the Pack Plus. Predictive calling and the automated voice agent are two paid options, and some of the Pack Plus prices are reserved for companies registered in France that qualify as SMEs (PME/PMI status).

Pricing: price checked on October 10, 2026, prices excl. VAT per user per month: Pack Basic at €8 billed annually (20% off, 12-month commitment) or €10 monthly with no commitment; Pack Plus at €42 billed annually or €50 monthly, and €24 or €30 for companies registered in France that qualify as SMEs (PME/PMI status). Pack Custom on quote.

8. Allo

Allo offers a business phone solution with AI agents that answer when nobody else can and update your CRM. According to its site, Allo is a telecom carrier in France, with its own numbers and its own infrastructure. After each call, the AI drafts the follow-up email, the SMS and the CRM update.

The AI receptionist answers, qualifies and books a slot in your calendar during the call. For outbound calls, Allo offers a Power Dialer and a Parallel Dialer that calls 3 to 5 contacts at once. An MCP connector (a protocol that lets an AI assistant take actions in a piece of software) is used to drive Allo from Claude.

Best for: SMEs and sales teams of 2 to 250 people that want AI features included and a price published in euros.

Strengths: transcription, AI summaries and native sync with HubSpot, Salesforce or Attio in every paid plan; no setup fee and no commitment; a first support response in 15 minutes on average, according to the vendor.

Limitations: Allo says it targets teams of fewer than 250 people, and the Solo offer is still on a waiting list. Sending SMS uses credits billed in dollars, the AI receptionist and the Power Dialer are paid options, and the vendor states that its prices may still change.

Pricing: price checked on October 10, 2026, Business at €35 per seat per month excl. VAT billed annually, or €45 monthly; Ultra at €100 annually or €120 monthly. AI receptionist at €35 per agent per month billed annually, Power Dialer at €50 per month for the whole team. 7-day free trial.

9. 3CX

3CX is a software-based business phone system, a PBX (the switchboard that manages internal and external lines), with a built-in contact center and AI. You deploy it on premises, in your private cloud or hosted by 3CX. It relies on SIP trunks, internet phone lines supplied by a carrier, and lets you reuse your equipment if it is compatible.

The features include multi-level IVR, queues, skills-based routing, a built-in fax server, video conferencing, instant messaging on your site (live chat) and WhatsApp. On the AI side, 3CX offers an AI receptionist, a personal AI assistant, AI agents and call transcription.

Best for: companies that want to host their phone system themselves, or have 3CX host it, and keep control of their data; the main offer targets, according to the vendor, companies with more than 25 users.

Strengths: a single annual fee per system, with no per-user cost; a free edition; the vendor advertises no data transfer to third parties, but transcription can go through a built-in server (licenses of 16 simultaneous calls or more) or through Google, OpenAI or Grok: choose according to your confidentiality requirements.

Limitations: several advanced features (built-in transcription server, multi-company, direct routing to Microsoft Teams) are reserved for licenses of 16 simultaneous calls or more ("16SC+" in the vendor's grid). On premises or self-hosted, the phone system is self-managed: allow for configuring the SIP trunks and phones, which the vendor documents in its guides.

Pricing: pricing per system rather than per seat, as an annual fee; free edition available.

10. Diabolocom

Diabolocom publishes an omnichannel, AI-augmented cloud contact center platform for call centers, customer service departments and sales prospecting teams. Its generative AI is proprietary and hosted in France on a secure cloud.

The Voice offer includes a smart IVR, automatic call distribution with skills-based routing, outbound campaigns, a dialer in preview, progressive or predictive mode, scripts and real-time monitoring. Diabolocom is also a certified telecom carrier for landline and mobile services.

Best for: call centers and customer service departments that want AI hosted in France and a native integration with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow, Zendesk or HubSpot.

Strengths: Number Reputation Checker, which tests your numbers so they are not seen as spam; PCI DSS-certified phone payment (the security standard for card data); AI that can also be used through an API in another contact center software.

Limitations: the published entry price assumes a 3-year commitment and at least 150 named licenses, excluding telecom and usage fees. The AI modules are optional on the Voice and Omnichannel offers, and included only in the Ultimate offer, on quote.

Pricing: price checked on October 10, 2026, Voice offer from €60 and Omnichannel offer from €99 per named license, excluding taxes; Ultimate offer on quote. Minutes, transcription, storage and SMS billed by usage.

The 10 business phone software compared

Prices and information checked on October 10, 2026 on the vendors' websites. Only two tools publish an unambiguous price in euros (Allo and Diabolocom), and Aircall shows €30 per license without stating the billing mode or whether VAT is included: the last column therefore shows what pushes the bill up.

What should you check before choosing?

1. Can you keep your numbers? Ringover, RingCentral, CloudTalk, Kavkom and Allo advertise porting of your existing numbers, and 3CX makes porting to a SIP trunk provider easier. If your lines still run over the copper network, also find out the shutdown date planned where you are.

2. What is the real price per seat? The entry price comes with conditions: 3 users minimum at Ringover, a minimum number of users at Aircall, 150 licenses and a 3-year commitment for Diabolocom's published price. Total it up over twelve months, options included.

3. Do your outbound calls follow the new rules? Since August 11, 2026, a prospecting call to a consumer requires their prior consent, unless there is an existing contract. See whether the tool helps you respect the permitted hours and keep an exclusion list, such as Kavkom's GDPR blacklist.

4. Will your numbers get through? Ask how the vendor monitors the reputation of your numbers: CloudTalk rotates them automatically, Diabolocom offers a Number Reputation Checker, and Kavkom provides NPVs for automated campaigns.

5. Where does the included AI stop? At Allo and Ringover, transcription and summaries are part of the plans, and Aircall's Essentials offer includes 50 minutes of AI Voice Agents per month; at Dialpad or Diabolocom, AI agents or AI modules are paid separately, through credits or as an option. Test the voice agent on your real customer questions during the free trial.

Where does this ranking stop?

We did not place a single call. Sound quality, the mobile app and support speed are judged through use, and none of them was measured here. The ranking relies on the vendors' sites, read in October 2026; for some of them, our reading of the pricing pages did not yield a clear price in euros, and their profile sticks to what could be read.

Your use matters more than the rank. A five-person firm and a contact center with two hundred agents have different needs: rely first on the Best for lines.

Offers move. Prices, included minutes, AI modules and cold-calling rules change. We will revise this ranking regularly; check each price on the vendor's site before you commit.

How do customers find your number before they call you?

Business phone software handles the calls that come in and the ones your teams make. Before a customer dials your number, there is what they find when they look for a solution on Google or ask ChatGPT which provider to contact. To compare the ways of attracting customers, see our selection of the 50 best channels for customer acquisition in 2026.

Sorank automates this visibility work. The platform, which runs on autopilot, analyzes your presence on Google and in AI assistants, picks the keywords worth going after, then drafts and puts online articles built for AI. For each tracked prompt, for example a question about the best phone system for an SME, you see whether an AI mentions your company. The GEO software page lists every feature. To see what it would look like for your company, book a call.

Conclusion

Three profiles, three choices. A support or sales team that wants a phone system, a call center and AI voice agents connected to its CRM can start with Aircall. An SME of fewer than 250 people that wants AI and CRM sync included, with a price published in euros, should look at Allo. A company that prefers to host its phone system itself and pay an annual fee per system, with no per-seat price, will find what it needs with 3CX.

Before signing, make the most of the free trials: 7 days at Ringover and Allo, 14 days at CloudTalk and JustCall, and for Dialpad's Connect offer.

Frequently asked questions

What is business phone software?

Business phone software replaces the traditional switchboard with an app: your teams make and receive calls from a computer or a mobile phone, and inbound calls follow routing rules (IVR, business hours, queues). The tools in this ranking add recording, AI transcription and CRM sync. Some, such as Aircall, CloudTalk or Allo, also offer AI voice agents that answer when the team is unavailable.

Should you change phone systems because of the copper network shutdown?

According to Arcep, France's telecoms regulator, Orange has announced the technical shutdown of its copper network, business services included, with a schedule in batches that is due to finish in 2030. If your phone system or your lines still run over this network, check the date planned for your municipality and prepare your switch to a new tool in advance. Ask the new vendor to port your current numbers.

Can you keep your current numbers when you change software?

Yes, several vendors in the ranking say so: Ringover, RingCentral, CloudTalk, Kavkom and Allo mention porting your numbers, free of charge at RingCentral, Kavkom and Allo. 3CX makes it easier to port numbers to a SIP trunk provider. Ask about the transfer lead time before signing.
