Our ranking of the 10 best freelance content consultants and copywriters in France in 2027, checked one by one, with their published prices and limits.

In short
Jordan Belly is the most complete profile among the best content and copywriting consultants in France for an SME that wants articles and pages that help its search rankings: he has been independent since 2014, wrote a guide to SEO web writing and publishes all his prices. Roland Martin is a better fit for a campaign or a brand line, Murielle Germain for regulated sectors and accessible content, and Jennifer Larcher for online retailers with a large number of product pages. The right choice depends first on the text you need: an article that has to be found, a page that has to sell, or a campaign that has to stand out.

Choosing among the best freelance content consultants and copywriters in France means handing your texts to a single person who listens to your brief, writes and answers for what they deliver. The profession covers three overlapping families: the SEO web writer, who writes to be found; the copywriter, who writes to make people act; and the creative copywriter, who comes up with advertising campaigns. Google states that its systems aim to reward content written first for people, with visible expertise, according to its documentation on helpful, reliable content. This ranking brings together ten independents, checked one by one, and says for each which type of need they meet.
An independent copywriter or content consultant is both your point of contact and the writer. The person who reads your brief is the one who writes, revises the text after your comments and delivers it. There is no project manager between you and the writer, and the tone stays the same from one text to the next.
This format has two clear advantages: a consistent voice over time, and fees that are often lower than at an agency, since there is no structure to fund. It also has limits: one person produces a limited volume each month, rarely covers SEO, advertising and layout all at once, and an absence puts production on hold. Several consultants on this list work with trusted graphic designers, art directors or developers to fill that gap.
If you need to publish dozens of pieces of content a month, in several languages, or run writing, design and distribution at the same time, an agency team is often a better fit. Our ranking The 10 Best Content and Copywriting Agencies in France (2027) covers that case.
Five criteria, in this order, applied only to what each consultant publishes on their own site or to public sources. Every site on this list was reviewed on 16 October 2026, and this page is scheduled for review every 90 days.
1. Writing is the core business. Profiles who make their living from writing, copywriting or editorial strategy come before those who list writing alongside website creation, coaching or social media management.
2. Proof you can check yourself. Named clients, a portfolio with identifiable work, a book with a publisher, a certification or a public talk count for more than a client count shown without a source.
3. An offer you can read before the first call. A price per word, a day rate, an audit price or at the very least a clear description of what the engagement includes.
4. Fit with a type of need. We kept profiles that serve very different requests (SEO articles, product pages, sales pages, campaigns, editorial strategy) and said which ones.
5. Real, independent activity. A live website, the person's name displayed, work by a single person or a micro-business that does its own writing. Agencies with a team of salaried writers, training organisations and sites that display no name were left out.
What we deliberately did not do: we did not repeat the traffic gains, conversion rates or client counts published by the consultants, because there is no way to verify them from outside. Rankings of writers published by a writer on their own site did not count as proof. We did not commission any text and did not judge the writing quality of the work shown.
Jordan Belly is an SEO web writer and editorial consultant near Toulouse. He dates his first editorial responsibilities on the web to 2004 and has worked independently since 2014, after spells in the press, publishing, real estate and construction. He is the author of the « Guide du rédacteur web SEO » (Guide for the SEO web writer), published by Edi.Pro in 2023, and in 2025 launched Position Zéro, a media outlet that follows developments in online search. His site shows the logos of clients such as UFC-Que Choisir, PRO BTP, Groupama, Le Particulier and Système D, with signed testimonials. He publishes his prices: €0.12 excl. VAT per word for SEO web writing, €0.18 excl. VAT for specialised topics, an SEO audit from €450 excl. VAT and consulting at €90 excl. VAT an hour. He does the editorial work himself and accepts white-label work for agencies.
Best for: SMEs in technical or regulated sectors (construction, real estate, insurance, automotive, health and social care) that want articles and service pages written by someone who knows their vocabulary, with a price known before the quote. For an advertising campaign or a slogan, other profiles on this list are a better fit.

Roland Martin has been a freelance creative copywriter since 2017, after eighteen years in advertising agencies: CLM/BBDO, DDB, Le Singe/BETC, BDDP & Fils and Publicis Conseil. He writes mostly in French, sometimes in English. His site lists the agencies he works with today (BETC, Buzzman, Havas Paris, McCann Paris and Publicis Conseil, among others) and a very long list of brands and institutions he has written for: Chanel, Cartier, Carrefour, Netflix, Club Med, AXA, Renault, Ademe and AP-HP. This list does not distinguish campaigns produced within agencies from engagements commissioned directly. He publishes neither prices nor a city, and his site is a single page with a contact address.
Best for: advertisers and agencies looking for an experienced advertising writer for a campaign, a brand line or a manifesto. If you need articles optimised for Google, his profile does not meet that need.

Murielle Germain is a web writer and SEO consultant in Cornimont, in the Hautes-Vosges, and has been self-employed since 2011. She holds the Opquast Expert certification, is listed on France Num and combines writing with digital accessibility: consulting and training, editorial guidelines, a free tool for auditing PDFs. She names clients in insurance, real estate and travel: Groupe April, Verlingue, MACSF, Nexity, Expedia, Adecco and Sigma Informatique. In 2025 she spoke at the Bizz & Buzz festival in Strasbourg about SEO and accessibility. Her starting prices appear in the FAQ on her site: €450 for a day of writing, €350 for a local SEO diagnosis and €1,500 for a full SEO audit. The first thirty-minute call is free, and she states that she never lets an AI write the final text.
Best for: companies in demanding sectors (insurance, real estate, financial services) and organisations that need to make their content accessible. She turns down volume writing: for thirty articles a month, look elsewhere.

Jennifer Larcher has written for the web since 2011, the year she started at Soumettre.fr, and has worked freelance since 2016, according to her about page. She writes SEO blog articles, product pages for Shopify, WooCommerce or PrestaShop and content for Google Discover, and offers SEO and GEO coaching. She names her clients: publishers such as Siècle Digital and Click Busters, brands such as Maison Lutétia, Mister Auto, Animal Assur and TabloDéco, and the training organisation Icadémie. She has written an expert article for Réacteur, the Abondance site. Her starting prices are published: €5 per 100 words for an SEO article, €4 for news or Discover content, €7 for e-commerce content and €2 per keyword for keyword research. She delivers articles already set up in WordPress, including tags and internal links.
Best for: online retailers with hundreds of product pages to write and online media that are betting on Google Discover. For work on brand positioning or tone of voice, a more strategy-oriented profile will suit you better.

Noémie Kempf is a communication and content strategist based in Strasbourg who has supported public and private organisations since 2019. She is the author of « Le pouvoir des communautés » (The power of communities), published by Eyrolles (2023), and has written The Storyline newsletter since 2020. Her site details dated engagements: a community strategy for the leaders of companies in the Bpifrance portfolio in 2024, a strategy for Adie in 2025, a white paper for Resilience in 2023, and in-house training for Renault Trucks, Cofidis and RATP. She now heads communication for the open source and digital commons unit at DINUM, the French government's interministerial digital directorate, and says she works with brands on an occasional basis alongside this role. She offers support over several months, one-off engagements (white paper, newsletter, series of articles), talks and hourly coaching. Her prices are not published.
Best for: institutions and large companies that want an editorial line, a white paper or a flagship newsletter, with real thought given to how they speak publicly. Her availability is limited by her current role: raise the question in your first exchange.

Lucas Ricard is a freelance creative copywriter, registered as a micro-entrepreneur in the Var and active between Aix-en-Provence and Marseille. He writes headlines, brand lines, scripts, manifestos and brandbooks (positioning, tone, tagline), and designs campaigns, directly for brands or for advertising agencies. His portfolio presents projects for Tinder, Hinge, Ikea, BoursoBank, Crosscall, Team for the Planet and DIJO, without always saying whether they were produced within an agency. He publishes his rate, €400 excl. VAT a day, is paid at the end of the engagement and delivers his texts in a shared document that belongs to you. He works alone or with your in-house teams (art director, project manager).
Best for: consumer brands and start-ups that want a brand line, a manifesto or a campaign with a day budget known in advance. He does not do SEO writing: for a blog, look higher up the list.

Adeline Messiaen presents herself as a senior creative copywriter. Her portfolio is organised by medium (film, outdoor, press, radio, digital, content) and shows work for BlaBlaCar, Showroomprive.com, the Fiat 500, Les Mousquetaires, Crédit Agricole, Mercedes-Benz, Blédina, Bioderma and Charal. She covers advertising campaigns as well as content: website, brand magazine, SEO articles, newsletter, and radio spots that she writes and records. She works alone on ideas and words, or as a pair with art directors and graphic designers she chooses. She says she now gives priority to responsible brands and topics, and publishes a collaboration charter. Her site gives neither prices nor a city.
Best for: purpose-driven brands that want a single writer for the campaign and for everyday content, with a design partner if needed. With no published prices, ask for an estimate per day or per deliverable from the first contact.

Jeanne Merle works alone under the name My Little Agency, despite the word « agency ». A graduate of ISCOM and Sup de Pub, she announces more than fifteen years in communication and digital marketing, and describes herself as a digital editorial project manager. She designs and runs editorial programmes: keyword research, content architecture, roadmap, coordination of writers, optimisation of existing content, internal linking and the place of AI in production. She names her clients: Solocal, Cuisines Arthur Bonnet, Louis Herboristerie, Maisons d'en France Atlantique, Consultim and La Compagnie du Logement, among others. Her CV can be downloaded. She works freelance or as reinforcement for a team, on quotation, with no published prices.
Best for: start-ups and SMEs that already have writers, or want to hire some, and need someone to structure and run production. For a single sales page, a pure copywriter will be faster.

Christophe Da Silva is a web and print writer in Béziers. He has been writing since 1998 and has worked freelance since 2009, on automotive, health, tourism, real estate, banking and insurance, and high-tech topics. He publishes a full price list: €0.20 excl. VAT per word for web, €0.18 excl. VAT for print, rewriting at €40 excl. VAT per 250 words, proofreading from €4 excl. VAT per 250 words and an SEO rework of a page at €40 excl. VAT. He also works under white label for communication and SEO agencies, writes email campaigns and trains teams in SEO web writing. His references page sorts logos by sector, without detailed case studies, and his blog mixes in articles unrelated to writing.
Best for: companies and agencies that want an experienced writer for web and print, with a price per word known in advance. Ask for examples of published texts in your sector before ordering.

Jean Lochet is an independent copywriter in Lyon, under the CO314 brand, who works with service companies, manufacturers and software publishers. He writes sales pages and landing pages, prospecting emails, welcome sequences and content strategies. His method for a sales page starts with an interview with you, followed by exchanges on his proposals, with texts ready to integrate in three weeks. His site publishes named testimonials, such as those of Jean-Philippe Renault (Alberix) and Stéphane Margall (Yogassur). He does not publish prices.
Best for: independents, firms and B2B SMEs that want a sales page or an email sequence built from their own words. His published references mostly concern small organisations: ask for examples closer to your size.

Four points to raise on the first call, whatever the profile.
Three limits, stated clearly.
It is based on public information. We read what each consultant publishes and checked that each site was live on 16 October 2026. We did not commission any text or interview any client. A writer who writes very well but says little about their references will be underrated here.
It does not know your need. The right profile for a national brand's signature line is rarely the right one for five hundred product pages. The Best for lines matter more than the rank number. If your need exceeds what one person can produce, see our ranking of the best content and copywriting agencies in France.
It ages. Freelancers' prices, offers and availability change quickly. Check on the consultant's site before you sign.
A content consultant or a copywriter finds the angle: what makes your offer different, your customers' own words, the sentence that sums up your brand. This work requires interviews, perspective on your market and judgement. Regular article publishing, on the other hand, comes back every week, and that is often where company blogs stop after a few months.
That is what Sorank automates: after an audit of your site, the platform finds your keywords, writes and publishes articles optimised for Google and for AI assistants, and shows you when an AI assistant cites your brand. Many companies combine the two: the consultant for positioning, key pages and tone, the software to keep publishing without interruption.
The best content consultant is the one whose usual texts resemble the one you need to publish. For articles and pages that help an SME's search rankings, Jordan Belly offers the most verifiable proof and complete prices. For a campaign or a brand line, Roland Martin has the longest advertising track record. For a regulated sector or accessible content, Murielle Germain. For hundreds of product pages, Jennifer Larcher. And to publish articles every week that get you cited by Google and by AI assistants, Sorank takes over the production.
The prices published by the consultants in this ranking range from €5 per 100 words for an SEO article to €0.20 excl. VAT per word for a web text, depending on the level of research required. By the day, published rates range from €400 excl. VAT for an advertising copywriter to €450 and up for a specialised writer. A content audit starts at €450 excl. VAT. Several consultants publish no prices and prepare a quote for each project.
An independent consultant suits you when you want a single writer who keeps the same tone over time and a point of contact who does the writing personally. An agency becomes a better fit when you need to publish dozens of pieces of content a month, in several languages or in several formats at once, with a team that does not depend on a single person.
Ask for links to published texts they wrote themselves, not just client logos. Check how long they have worked independently, whether they work directly or through agencies, and how they use AI tools. Insist on a quote that states the number of revision rounds, the deadline and the assignment of rights to the texts.
