Our ranking of the 10 best web agencies in Helsinki in 2026, based only on what each agency publishes about itself, with sources, method and limits stated.

In short
Alfons Digital is our top pick for a team that wants a WordPress site, a custom web application and AI tools from one Helsinki agency, with published client work such as an emissions calculator for Keskuskauppakamari, the Finnish Chamber of Commerce. Brancoy is the choice for Shopify stores: it says it is Finland's only Shopify Premier Partner, and its homepage quotes named clients. Exove fits organisations that want web services and e-commerce from a team with offices in Helsinki, Tampere and Oulu, and Distrikt fits companies that want strategy, design and growth work from one Helsinki agency. Aste Agency and Creative Code both bundle websites with marketing or content, but neither publishes a client case on its homepage, so ask for references before deciding. The deciding criterion is not the number of awards an agency lists, it is whether it shows real work it can name.

Choosing among the web agencies in Helsinki starts with a plain question: do you need a site, an online shop, or a digital service that has to run for years? According to Statistics Finland, Finland's official statistics office, its release on the use of information technology in enterprises, published on 27 November 2025, found that 98 per cent of enterprises had web pages. A website is now the baseline, so the real choice is which agency can make yours work for customers, search engines and the rules that apply to it.
A web agency based in Helsinki can meet your team in person, review your current site on location and understand the Finnish market your customers buy in. The list below keeps only agencies whose own homepage places them in Helsinki, through an address, an office or a team. A national agency without a Helsinki office is out of the ranking, even when its work is strong, because the question here is who is close to your market.
The same release reports that 88 per cent of enterprises used social media. When most companies already have web pages and social accounts, a site that merely exists stops being a difference. The agencies worth shortlisting are the ones that help a company use its site to be found, to turn visits into enquiries and to keep the site working after launch.
Four fears come up when a Helsinki company compares agencies, and each one can be checked before signing.
1. A site that excludes part of its visitors. On 24 January 2023, Traficom, the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency, said the new accessibility requirements apply from 28 June 2025. The accessibility of websites, mobile applications and e-commerce services is monitored by the Regional State Administrative Agency. An agency that cannot explain how it tests accessibility before launch leaves that risk with you.
2. Paying for a site you do not control. The practical question is who holds the domain, the hosting accounts, the source files and the content login once the project is delivered. An agency that will not answer that in writing should not be shortlisted, whatever its design portfolio looks like.
3. Paying for a site that looks like everyone else's. With 98 per cent of enterprises already on the web, a homepage built from a stock layout does not win a customer. Ask how the agency plans the content, the search visibility and the measurement, not only the design.
4. Working with a team that cannot serve your language. Most homepages in this list are written in Finnish, and three are written in English. If your customers read in another language, ask in writing which versions the agency builds and maintains, and who writes them.
Every agency had to pass one shared filter first: its own site must place it in Helsinki, through an office, an address or a team. Then four criteria, fixed before we checked which agency won each of them, and applied only to what each agency publishes about itself. The homepage text of every agency on this list was reread in November 2026.
1. Web at the front of the offer. Websites, online shops or web development must appear in the title, the description or the main services, not only in a long list of marketing channels.
2. Named proof. Clients or projects named on the site, not only a logo strip or a list of tools.
3. A Helsinki anchor. The shared filter described above, checked again for each agency.
4. A readable offer. Services detailed and split by theme, without any result figure that the site does not publish itself.
What we deliberately did not do: we did not reuse the client counts, growth percentages or awards displayed on these sites, because they cannot be verified from the outside. The one growth figure this page mentions is a quote, attributed to the person who said it, and it is not a ranking factor.

Alfons Digital describes itself as a Helsinki digital agency that designs and builds advanced WordPress sites, custom applications and AI solutions. Its homepage names an emissions calculator built for Keskuskauppakamari, the Finnish Chamber of Commerce, a case for Perheyritysten liitto, the Finnish family business association, and an order system for Konserttikeskus.
Best for: organisations that want a WordPress site and a custom tool built by the same team. The AI offer is described in general terms on the homepage, so ask what it would build for your business in particular.

Barabra calls itself a truly good digital agency and describes itself as a flexible and honest partner for digital services and marketing communication. Its project pages name Intersport, which it describes as a strategic partnership, and ARCO Architecture Company, for which it built a website for what it calls the largest architecture firm. They also name Stockmann's Hullut Päivät campaign and a project for the Pohjoismainen kirja-ahmatti.
Best for: companies that want one partner for websites and marketing communication, and that judge an agency on named projects. The site publishes no prices, so ask for the scope of the work before the first meeting.

Exove lists an office in Helsinki, next to Tampere and Oulu, and says its core expertise includes web services, e-commerce, brand and digital asset management, and publishing automation. Its main published case is Leona Homes, for which it built a new website that serves as the brand's home base and a key part of its customer experience. The site says it works with clients ranging from listed companies to startups and universities.
Best for: organisations that want web services, e-commerce and service design from a team with several offices. The homepage gives only one detailed case, so ask for a second reference from your own sector.

Distrikt describes itself as a Helsinki based full-solution digital agency, working on strategy, design, development and growth. Its case list names Caruna, with a marketplace for a greener future, Interflora, with a modern eCommerce platform, Cuuma Communications, with automated lead generation, and Koponen + Hildén, with a website generator for data visualisations.
Best for: companies that want strategy, design and development from one agency, and that may later add growth work such as marketing automation. Its scope is wider than websites alone, so compare the web part of any quote on its own.

Brancoy is based in Helsinki, works across the Nordics, and says it is Finland's only Shopify Premier Partner. It helps brands migrate, design and grow on Shopify. Its homepage quotes named clients: Jasmit Horkama, Head of Marketing and E-commerce, says the brand grew 169 percent in October, November and December, and Ville-Valtteri Konttinen, E-commerce Manager at Unikulma, praises the technical work behind a booking system.
Best for: online stores on Shopify, or brands considering a move to Shopify. Its focus on one platform is a strength for those businesses and a limit for anyone who runs on another system.

Bluefour calls itself a Helsinki digital agency that designs websites, online shops and SEO optimisation for companies in Finland. It says it helps Finnish and Nordic companies grow digitally, and it invites visitors to request a free quote. Its public text names no client case, so the site gives a clear list of services but little proof.
Best for: companies that want websites, online shops and SEO from one provider, with a free quote as the first step. Ask for three references before you sign, since none appear on the homepage.

Ampersand Design describes itself as a creative advertising agency in Lahti and Helsinki, and says it works across Finland from those two offices. Its services include brand strategies and visual identities, WordPress websites, online shops, content production and digital marketing. Its web references include Pesuainepalvelu.fi and AsuntoArea.
Best for: companies that want web and brand work under one roof, from an agency with offices in two cities. The web references are brief on the homepage, so ask what each project covered.

Don & Branco describes itself as a brand agency and advertising agency in Helsinki, combining brand identity, WordPress websites and digital marketing. Its homepage offers an AI assistant that reads a website address and analyses the brand in about a minute, and it lists recent work such as Arctic Ravn and TCG Center Helsinki.
Best for: brands that want an identity and a WordPress site designed together. The homepage mixes news, blog posts and work, so ask which items were delivered for which client.

Aste Agency is a marketing agency in Helsinki that describes itself as working for entrepreneurs. It puts websites first in its list of services, followed by digital marketing, content production, branding, advertising and analytics, and it promises clear reports and honest timetables. Its homepage names no client case.
Best for: entrepreneurs who want a website together with search and social marketing from one partner, and who value clear reporting. Ask for client references, since none appear on the homepage.

Creative Code describes itself as a people-friendly marketing agency in Helsinki that takes care of websites, branding and content, in Helsinki or even from your sofa. Its services include websites, online shops and campaign pages, brand identity and copywriting, photography, video production and streaming. Its homepage names no client case.
Best for: companies that want websites, branding and content from one team. The homepage gives no named proof, so ask for examples of finished sites before you compare offers.
The criteria below were chosen before checking who wins them, and each cell reflects what the agency publishes on its own site in November 2026. When an agency does not publish a piece of information, the cell says so rather than guessing.

Read the "Not published" cells as a lack of public information, not a lack of competence. Several of these agencies probably serve more kinds of clients than their homepage shows, and the honest way to find out is to ask them directly.
Three questions separate a shortlist faster than any homepage, and each one matches one of the fears above.
1. Who owns the site once it is live? Ask for a written list of the domain, the hosting, the source files, the content accounts and the design rights. A site that depends on accounts you cannot access is not yours in practice.
2. How will accessibility be checked before launch? Ask which tests the agency runs, and who fixes the issues found after launch. Traficom says the new accessibility requirements apply from 28 June 2025. The Regional State Administrative Agency monitors the accessibility of websites and e-commerce services, so this is a compliance question as well as a design one.
3. Which result will be measured, and against what starting point? Agree on one or two indicators you already track, such as online orders, enquiries or search visits, and record their level on day one. Without a starting point, no report can show whether the site worked.
Three limits, stated clearly, because a ranking that claims to settle everything is not useful.
It is built only on public information. We read what each agency publishes about itself and checked its Helsinki link on its own site. We did not audit any site, read any contract or verify a single client quote. An agency that communicates little and delivers very well will be underrated here.
It cannot know your context. A B2B company with a long sales cycle does not need the same partner as an online store. The Best for lines above matter more than the order of the list.
It ages. Homepages change, agencies merge and new studios open. The text was reread in November 2026, and it should be reread regularly before anyone relies on it.
This is the honest part, on a page published by a software company. An agency beats software on everything that needs a brief, a meeting and judgement: understanding how a Helsinki company sells, deciding what belongs on a homepage, telling a brand story that the client recognises as theirs, and choosing a design that fits the people who will use it. None of that is automated today, and anyone who claims otherwise is selling you something.
That is where Sorank fits in. It is software, not an agency: keyword research, article writing, internal linking, publishing to your site, and tracking how often your brand appears in the answers AI assistants give. A site built by an agency still needs new pages that answer the questions buyers ask, and that is the part a tool can keep running between projects. Pricing starts at 99€ per month, with 3 days offered and a card required at sign up. If you would rather talk it through first, book a call.
If you want a single recommendation: Alfons Digital for a WordPress site with custom tools, Brancoy if you run or plan a Shopify store, Exove if you need web services and e-commerce from a team with several offices, and Distrikt if strategy, design and growth should come from one agency.
And ask how the agency will prove its work before asking what it promises. A good web agency in Helsinki can name its clients, explain who owns the site and show how it measures results. To place a new website among the other channels that feed your pipeline, see the 50 best customer acquisition channels in 2026.
A few other agencies came up with a Helsinki link stated on their own sites. They are listed for their own work and do not change the ranking above.
| Agency | Site | What they publish about themselves |
|---|---|---|
| Digiteam | digiteam.fi | Digital marketing agency in Helsinki that cites more than 50 years of digital marketing experience, with websites, online shops, campaign pages and newsletters among its services |
| Agency Leroy | agencyleroy.com | Describes itself as a Nordic design agency, with selected cases such as Iittala and Framery |
| Classmate Studio | classmatestudio.com | Brand design studio formed in 2015, based in Helsinki and Budapest, with web and UI design among its services |
This ranking reflects my own experience and opinion as an SEO expert with more than 7 years in the field. It is based on verified facts, but the order itself is my personal view.
