Choosing among the SEO consultants in Athens means handing your search visibility to a firm, and often to a very small team rather than a single freelancer. Most of the names below present themselves as agencies rather than solo freelancers. This ranking covers those firms and says for each one what it is best suited to, based only on what it publishes on its own site. In 2025 only 55.95% of Greek SMEs reached at least a basic level of digital intensity, against 71.39% across the EU, according to the European Commission's State of the Digital Decade 2026 report as cited by Naftemporiki on 23 June 2026. That gap is the work a good SEO partner can help close.
A firm based in Athens can meet your team in person, work on Greek search queries with Greek copy, and fit a Greek business calendar. All ten firms below show an Athens reference on their own site, in the page title, the meta description or the homepage text.
Most Greek firms with ten or more employees still receive no orders through a website, an application or EDI. ELSTAT's annual survey on ICT use and e-commerce in enterprises, as reported by newmoney on 14 December 2021, counted 9094 enterprises with 10 or more employees that received orders between 1 January and 15 September 2021 through a website, a specialised application or EDI messages, a share of 21.7% of the 41962 enterprises in that size class. For a service business, organic search is mainly about being found and called, not about a checkout.
Four worries shape the criteria used in this ranking, and each one is worth raising with any firm before you sign.
1. Greek queries. A firm that reports rankings for English keywords only may not measure what Greek customers type into Google.
2. Paying for months before anything shows. Ask which indicators the firm reports in the first 90 days, and what it will change if they do not move.
3. A site that looks good but is not found. Design and search are two different jobs, and a firm that does both should be able to explain how it separates them.
4. Losing the contact after signature. Know who answers your calls and emails, in which language, and who takes over if that person leaves.
Four criteria, applied only to what each firm publishes on its own site.
1. SEO is a core service. SEO is presented in the offer as a service the firm sells, not as one line among many unrelated services.
2. An Athens reference you can see. We first required an address, an office or a team in Athens stated on the site. We then also accepted a city named only in the page title or meta description, which we count as a weaker reference than an office.
3. Greek, English or both. The site offers its services in Greek, in English, or in both languages.
4. Something you can check. The site names clients, projects or public reviews that a buyer can look up.
We reviewed these firms on 6 November 2026 from the homepage text captured for each site, without a live recheck. We deliberately did not repeat award claims, "No1" titles, client counts or conversion figures as facts, because we cannot verify them from outside. We did not contact any firm and did not audit any website.

DevSeg presents itself as a web development and SEO agency in Athens that builds WordPress sites, WooCommerce stores and custom web apps, and gets them found on Google in Greek and in English. Its homepage lists SEO next to web development, offers bilingual builds and 24/7 phone support, and names clients including Coreme, APKO Consulting and Katanias Shoes.
Best for: Athens businesses that need a website or e-shop and SEO from one team, in Greek and English. The homepage text shows no price and does not explain the SEO method, so ask for a written plan and a reporting format before you commit.

Bluemind calls itself a strategic digital agency in Athens, active since 2017, that builds websites and e-shops and offers SEO and AI Visibility (AEO and GEO) to appear in ChatGPT and Google. It cites one client case, a hotel in Attica that reports +32% direct bookings in four months. That figure comes from its own homepage and we could not verify it.
Best for: Greek-speaking businesses in Attica that want a website, SEO and visibility in AI assistants from one agency. The site is in Greek and the client case is not named, so ask for references you can call.

Digital4U describes itself as a 360° digital marketing agency in Athens and Thessaloniki, offering SEO next to design and development. Its site says that more than 350 retail and wholesale e-shops and 220 corporate websites are live, and that it runs more than 160 active marketing accounts. It also shows testimonials signed by named people. These are the agency's own figures.
Best for: businesses in Athens or Thessaloniki that want SEO bundled with a new website or e-shop. SEO is one service among several, so ask how much of the budget goes to search work.

DMSS Digital Marketing Agency presents itself as a digital marketing agency in Athens whose homepage carries the name of Michalis Botas. It lists SEO alongside website creation, copywriting, Google Ads, Google Business Profile, social media and email marketing. Its homepage says that, according to Google Reviews, it is included among the best digital marketing companies in Europe. We report that as the agency's own claim.
Best for: Greek companies that want SEO, Google Ads and copywriting handled together. The Europe ranking and the "No1" titles are the firm's own words, so ask for the reviews themselves and for client references you can contact.

Digital Sapiens presents itself as a digital marketing agency in Athens offering social media management and paid media, digital strategy and performance marketing, content strategy, and SEO and GEO. Its homepage names the sectors it serves, including food, drinks, jewellery, technology, sports, medical services and hospitality, but no individual client.
Best for: Greek brands in food, drinks, jewellery or hospitality that want SEO alongside paid media and social media. The homepage shows no price and no client name, so ask for a case you can verify.

Findigital presents itself as a digital marketing and SEO agency whose page title names Athens, and says it works with businesses of every size across Greece. Its service list starts with websites, e-shops and SEO, then covers AI SEO (GEO), Google Ads, social media, email marketing and AiVisibility. The Athens reference appears in the title only: the text we read gives no street address.
Best for: businesses across Greece that want SEO, AI visibility and Google Ads from one provider, with a website or e-shop included. Confirm where the team works and which deliverables come in Greek on the first call.

Cope Digital Agency presents itself as a digital agency in Athens for web design, e-shops, digital marketing, social media and Google Ads, with SEO listed in its description. Its homepage names nine projects, including renovus, Great Rentals Sivota and Lawyer School, and says that its success "can only be measured by the success of our clients".
Best for: Athens businesses that want a website build and SEO from one agency, with named projects to check. The homepage does not describe the SEO method or give a price, so ask for a sample report before you sign.

DigitalUp describes itself as a Google Partner agency in Athens for e-shops, websites, digital marketing, SEO and AI marketing. Its meta description names Body Shop, DHL and TotalEnergies as clients, and its process page says each project is run by a project manager who keeps the client informed at every stage.
Best for: e-shop owners in Greece who want a Google Partner agency with one project manager. The partner status and the client names are its own claims, so check the Google partner directory and ask for references before signing.

Dezitech presents itself as a web and media agency that names Athens and Thessaloniki in its meta description as places it serves, covering design, development and digital marketing. Its meta description lists website and e-shop creation, SEO, social media promotion and Google Ads, and its homepage says the team specialises in WordPress.
Best for: small and mid-sized businesses that want a WordPress site or e-shop with SEO and Google Ads from one team in Athens or Thessaloniki. Its homepage leans more on website creation than on search work, so ask how the firm measures SEO results.

AT Web Studio presents itself as a web studio for businesses in Athens, Attica and all of Greece, building websites and e-shops on WordPress, WooCommerce and Shopify. It lists SEO and digital marketing among its services, next to website and e-shop building and ongoing support, and names four projects: ToldPrint, MG Plus, iSpark Service and Bazar Oriental.
Best for: Athens businesses that need a website or e-shop first and SEO later. The site asks for a free estimate and shows no price, and SEO is a secondary line, so ask what the search work includes before you sign.

Three questions for the first call, whichever firm you choose.
Three limits, stated clearly.
It is based on public text. We read what each firm publishes on its homepage and did not audit any website, check any Google Business Profile or confirm any result. A firm that communicates little and delivers well will be underrated here.
It does not know your budget or your sector. The right firm for a national e-commerce brand is rarely the right one for a local service business. The "Best for" lines matter more than the order of the list.
It ages. Firms change their offers, their claims and their prices. Check each firm's current site before you sign.
A good agency makes judgement calls: which pages to build first, which Greek keywords are worth the effort, and what to change when results stall. A local team can also meet you in person, which software cannot do.
Sorank is software, not an agency. Pricing starts at 99€ per month, with 3 days offered and a card required at sign up. After an audit of your site, it finds keywords, writes and publishes articles optimised for Google and for AI assistants, and shows you when an AI assistant cites your brand. You can book a call to see how it works.
The right SEO firm is the one whose services match your site and your language. For an Athens e-shop that needs search work in Greek and in English, DevSeg is the closest match to the criteria above. For a Greek-speaking business in Attica that wants a website, SEO and AI visibility, Bluemind is the firm to call. For a business in Athens or Thessaloniki that wants SEO bundled with design, Digital4U fits. For a business that needs a website first, AT Web Studio. Before you choose, put the three questions above to each firm. For a wider checklist before you sign, read our agency guide.
These other firms were noted during this review. Each one is presented from what it publishes on its own site, without verification on our part.
| Agency | Site | What they publish about themselves |
|---|---|---|
| Forthright | forthright.gr | Says it specialises exclusively in medical digital marketing, with offices listed in Athens, Glyfada, Thessaloniki and Larissa |
| GNC Web | gncweb.gr | Says it has built websites and e-shops since 2010 in Athens and across Greece, and calls itself a WordPress and WooCommerce expert and Registered Shopify Partner for Greece |
| Anveto Marketers | anvetogroup.com | Presents itself as an award-winning digital agency in Athens that builds e-shops and websites and offers its own CRM software |
| Azero Digital | azero.digital | Presents itself as a boutique concierge digital agency in Athens, with 20+ years of market experience and 50+ cases in its portfolio, by its own count |
| Astralón | astralon.gr | Says it is an independent creative and digital marketing hub based in Neos Kosmos, Athens, and that it has worked with more than 180 brands since 2017 |
This ranking reflects my own experience and opinion as an SEO expert with more than 7 years in the field. It is based on verified facts, but the order itself is my personal view.
A firm based in Athens can meet you in person and work on Greek search queries with Greek copy. A national firm can still suit you if most of your sales come from outside Athens, so check the office and the languages first.
None of the ten homepages we read shows a price. AT Web Studio asks for a free estimate and the others say nothing on price. Ask for a written quote that lists the deliverables and the reporting.
Confirm who owns the website, the domain and the analytics accounts after the contract ends, which keywords will be targeted in Greek and in English, and how progress will be reported in the first ninety days.
