In short
FUSIO is our first pick for bespoke web platforms and mobile apps built in Dublin. Hidden Depth suits custom WordPress sites for education and cultural organisations, By Killian publishes packages from €795 for small businesses, Arekibo fits large organisations that want a partner after launch, and Galicki Digital is the freelance choice for a small business that wants one designer working from Dublin. The deciding criterion is not the number of projects an agency lists, but whether it tells you who will build and maintain your site, and who will hold the accounts.

Choosing among the best web design agencies in Dublin starts with a fact about buyers: a website is often where a company is first checked. According to the Central Statistics Office's Information Society Statistics for enterprises 2025, published on 6 February 2026, 67% of enterprises had information about their goods, services or prices on their website. So the real choice is less about whether to have a site than about who builds it, and who can still change it three years later.
A Dublin agency is not automatically better than one based elsewhere. A local base gives you a short list of things you can check: a meeting in person when it matters, a team that understands the Irish business context, and an address that appears on the agency's own site. A top 10 is only useful if it shows its work, so each criterion below can be tested against what the agency publishes.
Online selling raises the stakes. According to the CSO's e-commerce results for 2025, published on 6 February 2026, 37.5% of enterprises in Ireland had e-commerce sales, and 34.9% of small enterprises did. A shop built by a Dublin agency has to handle product pages, payments and stock from the first day, so ask how it plans that before you compare designs.
AI is the other shift buyers ask about. The CSO's Business in Ireland 2025 release, published on 24 March 2026, reports that 20.2% of all enterprises used AI technologies in 2025, up from 8.1% in 2023, and 17.2% of small enterprises did. Ask any agency how it uses AI in its own process and what it deliberately does not automate, rather than accepting a general promise.
Four fears come up again and again, and each one can be tested before you sign.
1. Ending up with a site you cannot edit or take with you. Several agencies here build on WordPress, Webflow or Shopify, and each platform comes with its own logins, licences and hosting. If the agency holds those accounts, leaving can mean rebuilding the site. Ask who holds them from the first day.
2. Paying for a headline price that does not cover the site you need. Entry prices describe a package. By Killian, for example, publishes packages from €795 and presents e-commerce, SEO and paid ads as options on top. Ask what is excluded before you compare two quotes that look similar.
3. Building a handsome site that nobody finds. Design is only one part of how a site brings in customers. Ask how the agency handles search visibility, page speed and the content that will fill the pages, and how it will tell you whether the site works.
4. Trusting claims that cannot be checked from the outside. Testimonials, award badges and client counts on a homepage are the agency's own statements. Ask for two references you can call, and for the live address of a site you can test yourself.
Four criteria, applied only to what each agency publishes about itself, and fixed before we checked who met them:
1. Web design as the core business. Web design or website development is the main service, as read on the homepage.
2. A Dublin base. Dublin appears as headquarters, office, address or team, in the text, the meta description or the title.
3. Proof on the site. The site names clients, or publishes case studies or testimonials attributed to a person or a company.
4. A readable offer. The site lists its services, or publishes a price or an entry package.
Agencies were also left out when their homepage shows no Dublin address, office or team, even when they serve Dublin customers, and when their main business is not web design. The homepage text was read in November 2026, and this page is scheduled for review every 90 days.
What we deliberately did not do: we did not reuse the awards, client counts or ratings displayed on these sites. They cannot be verified from the outside, and an agency's own claim of being award-winning tells you about its marketing, not about the work you will receive.

FUSIO is a web design and mobile app development agency based in the heart of Dublin, according to its homepage. It describes its work as client-first design, tailor-made development systems and cross-platform mobile apps, for clients in the private, public and non-profit sectors. Its homepage lists the website for Cultúr 2026, a cultural programme linked to Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and work for Foróige and Coimisiún na Meán.
Best for: organisations that need a bespoke web platform or a mobile app built in the same project. Its homepage shows no price, so ask for a written scope before you compare quotes.

Hidden Depth is based in Dublin, Ireland, and specialises in WordPress web design and custom WordPress development. Its homepage presents case studies for Trinity College Dublin, a project to bring the Book of Kells to a wider audience through modern web design, Kerry College and Liberties College, plus a project for Kelliher Miller Architecture.
Best for: schools, colleges and cultural organisations that want a custom WordPress site. Its homepage names WordPress only, so ask about other platforms if you need them.

By Killian is the studio of Dublin-based web designer Killian Tobin, who builds websites for small businesses across Ireland. The homepage publishes website packages from €795, with e-commerce, SEO and paid ads available, and names projects including The Blaze Sauna, RISE 22 and CBL Barbershop. The studio calls itself independent and states that it has shipped 25 or more sites.
Best for: small businesses that want a fixed-price website and a clear starting point. Ask who does the work, since the studio describes itself as independent, and what happens when several projects overlap.

Create Brand Consultants describes itself as a brand, graphic design, website design and digital agency based in Dublin. Its homepage shows three disciplines, brands, print and websites, and its recent work includes a strong modern website for Gordon White Consulting Engineers and online courses for Positive2Work Skillnet.
Best for: companies that want the brand, the print material and the website designed together. Website work is one of three disciplines here, so ask which team members would build the site.

Excel Web Design is a web design and development agency in Dublin that builds custom websites, portals and web applications for Irish businesses and startups. Its services include WordPress websites and e-commerce design and development. Its homepage links to success stories, but the text we read names no client, so references are the first thing to ask for.
Best for: Dublin businesses that need a WordPress site, an online shop or a custom web application built around their own requirements. Ask to see the success stories the homepage links to before you decide.

Diarmuid Sexton is a Webflow web designer and developer in Dublin, Ireland, who states 13+ years of experience. The homepage lists web design, Webflow, Figma to Webflow, SEO and CRO, e-commerce, automations and API integrations, and shows featured projects with links to live sites.
Best for: businesses that want a Webflow site, with automations or API connections, from an individual designer. Confirm who maintains the site when the designer is busy, and who holds the Webflow account.

Galicki Digital is the freelance web design practice of Igor Galicki, presented on the homepage as a web design specialist for small and medium-sized businesses in Ireland. The homepage is headed "web design in Dublin", offers web design services aimed at organic search traffic, and features a redesigned website for AriaTherapy, a psychotherapy clinic in Dublin.
Best for: small and medium-sized businesses that want one freelance designer and a case study they can check. Ask who will maintain the site when the designer is busy, and who holds the hosting and domain accounts.

Arekibo is an enterprise digital agency in Dublin that designs, builds and manages digital platforms for enterprise clients across Ireland, the UK and the USA. Its homepage highlights a new website for the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA), a 14-year partnership with Electric Ireland that continued with a new website, and an updated brand identity for the Mater Private Network.
Best for: large organisations that want one partner to run the site after launch. Its enterprise focus makes it a heavier choice for a small business, and its homepage shows no price.

Fuel is a web design and digital strategy agency whose homepage describes creative services across Ireland and the UK. Its title tag reads "Website Design Agency Dublin". The homepage shows testimonials attributed to Rebecca Dunne of Marketing & PR, Mercers Medical Centre and Vermillion Design.
Best for: businesses that want design and development backed by references they can check. The title names Dublin, but the homepage describes work across Ireland and the UK, so ask where the team is based.

Fiksie is a WordPress agency in Dublin, Ireland, that delivers bespoke web design, web development and SEO services. Its homepage lists WordPress development, WooCommerce development, website maintenance and support, website optimisation and local SEO. The text we read names no client, so ask for references before the first meeting.
Best for: Dublin businesses that want a WordPress or WooCommerce site with ongoing maintenance and local SEO. Ask what the maintenance covers, and how quickly a problem is fixed.
The criteria below were chosen before checking who wins them, and each cell reflects what the agency publishes on its own homepage in November 2026. Read "Not published" as a lack of public information, not a lack of skill, and ask the agency directly.
| Agency | Stated focus | Platforms or services named | Named clients or case studies | Entry price on the homepage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FUSIO | Web and mobile app design and development | Bespoke front-end and back-end, cross-platform apps | Cultúr 2026, Foróige, Coimisiún na Meán | Not published |
| Hidden Depth | WordPress web design and development | WordPress | Trinity College Dublin, Kerry College, Liberties College | Not published |
| By Killian | Websites for small businesses | Shopify, SEO foundations, booking systems | The Blaze Sauna, RISE 22, CBL Barbershop | From €795 |
| Create Brand Consultants | Brand, graphic design and websites | Websites, print, brands | Gordon White Consulting Engineers, Positive2Work Skillnet | Not published |
| Excel Web Design | Custom websites and web applications | WordPress, e-commerce, web applications | Not named in the text we read | Not published |
| Diarmuid Sexton | Webflow design and development | Webflow, Figma to Webflow, API integrations | Featured projects with live-site links | Not published |
| Galicki Digital | Freelance web design | Websites and online shops, organic search visibility | AriaTherapy case study | Not in the text we read |
| Arekibo | Enterprise digital platforms | Website builds and ongoing management | HPRA, Electric Ireland, Mater Private Network | Not published |
| Fuel | Web design and digital strategy | Web development, graphic design | Testimonials from Mercers Medical Centre, Vermillion Design and Marketing & PR | Not published |
| Fiksie | WordPress agency | WordPress, WooCommerce, maintenance, local SEO | Not named in the text we read | Not published |
Three questions separate a shortlist faster than any portfolio, and each one matches one of the fears above.
1. Who will build the site, and who will maintain it after launch? Ask for the names of the people on your project and the response time you can expect once the site is live. Fiksie, for example, lists website maintenance and support as its own service.
2. Who holds the logins, the domain, the hosting and the source files? The answer should be in writing. Ask for the list of accounts that will be in your name, and for an export of the files if you ever leave.
3. What does the price include, and what will cost extra? An entry price such as "from €795" is a starting point. Ask for a line-by-line quote covering content, SEO set-up, e-commerce and revisions.
Three limits, stated clearly, because a ranking that claims to settle everything is not usable.
It is built only on public information. We read the homepage text each agency publishes. We did not visit offices, review contracts, look at client accounts or speak to any client, so an agency that communicates little and delivers well will be underrated here.
It is limited to Dublin. An agency based in Cork, Galway or abroad is outside this page by design, even when it is strong, and a remote team that serves Dublin clients is not listed here.
It ages. Platforms, prices and teams change quickly in this market. This page is reviewed every 90 days, and the reading date is stated in the method.
This is the honest part, from a software company: what a Dublin agency offers that software cannot. An agency beats software on everything that requires understanding a business, choosing what a Dublin buyer will trust, writing copy in a voice that fits the brand, and staying involved as the brief changes over months. Software can draft, publish and measure, but it cannot replace someone who understands why a project changed course. Anyone who says otherwise is selling you something.
That is what Sorank works on. It is software, not an agency: keyword research, article writing, internal linking, publishing to your site and tracking how often you appear in the answers AI assistants give. Pricing starts at 99€ per month, with 3 days offered and a card required at sign up. If you would rather talk it through first, book a call. For a broader view of when an agency makes more sense than doing the work in house, see our agency guide.
If you want a single recommendation: FUSIO for bespoke platforms and mobile apps, Hidden Depth for a custom WordPress site for an education or cultural organisation, By Killian for a small business that wants a published starting price, Arekibo for a large organisation that needs a partner after launch, and Galicki Digital for a freelance designer in Dublin with a named case study to check.
And ask who will hold the accounts before you ask what the site will look like. A good site is one your team can change without calling anyone. To place your website among the other channels that bring in customers, see the 50 best customer acquisition channels in 2026.
The Dublin market has more credible agencies than a top 10 can hold. These seven also show a Dublin address, office or team on their own site, and each is described below, in our summary of its homepage.

| Emblaze Digital | emblazedigital.ie | Web design agency in Dublin 15 with over 15 years of experience, offering e-commerce web design and website support and maintenance |

This ranking reflects my own experience and opinion as an SEO expert with more than 7 years in the field. It is based on verified facts, but the order itself is my personal view.

The answer should be in writing. Ask for the list of accounts that will be in your name, and for an export of the files if you ever leave.
