Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy governs all purchases made from Stone Rank Kft., including subscriptions to the Sorank SaaS platform, credit purchases, and SEO-related services.

1. Purpose and Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Subscriptions to the Sorank SaaS platform
  • The purchase of credits or additional features
  • SEO services, including freelancer coordination, content production, optimisation work, and the purchase of backlinks or media placements

2. General Principles

All prices are displayed in EUR, excluding taxes unless otherwise stated. Payments for SaaS subscriptions are processed through Stripe, which uses SSL encryption and is fully PCI DSS compliant. Any refund request must follow the procedure described in Section 7.

3. Sorank SaaS

3.1 Monthly Subscription
Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable, except where the 90-day performance guarantee in Section 4 applies. Paid features and credits are activated immediately upon payment. By starting to use the platform, the Client expressly acknowledges that the service constitutes digital content delivered instantly and agrees to waive the statutory right of withdrawal for services already provided, as permitted under EU law.

3.2 Annual Subscription
Annual subscriptions may be refunded within 30 days of purchase. The refundable amount equals the annual fee minus one month, which is considered used. After 30 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable, except where the 90-day performance guarantee in Section 4 applies.

3.3 Credits and Additional Features
Any credit used is considered consumed and cannot be refunded. Free trials, promotional credits, or complimentary access are non-refundable.

4. 90-Day Performance Guarantee (Sorank SaaS)

4.1 The Guarantee
Stone Rank Kft. is confident that Sorank produces measurable SEO results. If, after 90 days of active and continuous paid use of Sorank on a single website, that website shows no measurable improvement in its SEO data as defined in Section 4.2, Stone Rank Kft. will refund the Sorank subscription fees paid for that 90-day period, subject to the eligibility conditions in Section 4.3. This guarantee is a voluntary commercial commitment offered in addition to any statutory rights the Client may have, and it does not limit the consumer rights described in Section 7.

4.2 How SEO data improvement is measured
SEO data improvement is measured objectively through the Client's Google Search Console account connected to Sorank, over the 90-day period, for the pages published through Sorank. The website is considered to show improvement, and the guarantee therefore does not apply, if during the period at least one of the following occurs:

  1. At least one page published through Sorank is indexed by Google; or
  2. The website records at least one impression in Google Search Console for content published through Sorank.

The guarantee applies only if both indexation and impressions remain at zero for Sorank-published content throughout the entire 90-day period.

4.3 Eligibility Conditions
The guarantee applies only if all of the following conditions are met for the full duration of the 90-day period:

  1. Active subscription: the Client has held an active, fully paid Sorank subscription for 90 consecutive days, with no pause, downgrade, cancellation, failed payment, or chargeback. The period starts on the first paid day, after any free trial.
  2. Content published: all content included in the subscription plan for each billing cycle has been generated through Sorank and published on the website via the connected CMS, and kept live for the entire period. Content must not be deleted, unpublished, set to "noindex", or substantially rewritten.
  3. Search Console connected and verified: Google Search Console has been correctly set up, verified for the website, and connected to Sorank for the entire period. The Client grants Stone Rank Kft. read access to the relevant Search Console data so that the claim can be verified. Without this verification, the guarantee cannot be assessed.
  4. Technically indexable website: the website has a valid XML sitemap submitted to Google; its content is accessible to search engine crawlers and is not a fully client-side JavaScript rendered site that prevents crawling of the published pages; its robots.txt and page directives do not block indexing; and its pages return valid HTTP 200 responses and remain online throughout the period.
  5. Domain in good standing: the domain is not subject to any Google manual action or penalty, has not been deindexed, is not a previously penalised, expired, or spam domain, and hosts a genuine, lawful business website.
  6. Single website: the guarantee is assessed per subscription and applies to one website only.
  7. Claim window: the claim is submitted within 30 days after the end of the 90-day period, and no later. One claim may be made per company.

4.4 What is refunded
If a claim is approved, Stone Rank Kft. refunds the Sorank SaaS subscription fees paid for the 90-day period. The refund excludes any credits already consumed, one-off SEO services, backlinks and media placements, and any third-party costs. The refund is issued in accordance with Section 7.4.

4.5 Exclusions
The guarantee does not apply where any eligibility condition is not met, and in particular where: the Client has not published, or has removed or altered, the Sorank content; Search Console access for verification is not provided; the website is technically unindexable on the Client's side (site offline, blocked by robots.txt or meta directives, missing sitemap, fully client-side rendered); the domain carries a Google penalty or has been deindexed or hacked; a payment has failed or a chargeback has been filed; or the information provided in support of the claim is inaccurate.

4.6 How to claim
To claim under this guarantee, the Client follows the procedure in Section 7 and, in addition, confirms that the eligibility conditions in Section 4.3 are met and grants the Search Console access required for verification.

5. SEO Services

5.1 General
SEO services become non-refundable once the quotation has been validated by email and work has begun. If the Client cancels:

  • All completed work remains payable.
  • All costs incurred remain payable.

5.2 Backlinks and Media Placements
Orders involving third-party publishers (backlinks, sponsored articles, PR placements, and similar) are final once submitted. Stone Rank Kft. cannot guarantee rankings, traffic improvements, publisher decisions, or link longevity. No refund is possible once the order has been placed.

6. Cancellation

SaaS Subscriptions: The Client may cancel at any time through their Sorank account. Cancellation stops auto-renewal for the next billing cycle. Amounts already paid are not refunded, except where the 90-day performance guarantee in Section 4 applies.

SEO Services: Cancellation terms follow the quotation. Completed work and incurred expenses remain due.

7. Refund Request Procedure

To request a refund, the Client must contact support (at) sorank.com and provide:

  • The invoice number
  • The purchase date
  • A clear explanation of the request

Acknowledgment timeframe: within 48 business hours. Processing timeframe: within 7 business days. If a refund is approved, it will be issued using the same payment method as the original purchase. No cash refunds or alternative payment methods are permitted.

7.1 Right of Withdrawal
Under Articles 9 to 15 of Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers ordinarily benefit from a 14-day right of withdrawal when purchasing online.

7.2 Exceptions
However, in accordance with Article 16(m) of the same Directive, this right does not apply to the supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium, provided that the following conditions are met:
(a) The consumer has given prior express consent to the immediate performance of the service by ticking the required checkbox during the checkout process;
(b) The consumer has acknowledged that such consent results in the loss of the right of withdrawal;
(c) The Company has sent the consumer a confirmation of this agreement by email following the purchase.

7.3 Retention of Withdrawal Right
If any of the above conditions have not been fulfilled, the consumer retains the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 calendar days from the date of purchase, without giving any reason and without incurring any costs, by contacting us at support (at) sorank.com.

7.4 Reimbursement
In the event of a valid withdrawal, the Company shall reimburse the consumer within 14 days using the same payment method originally used, unless the consumer expressly agrees otherwise.

8. Payments, Failed Payments and Chargebacks

Access to the service may be suspended in case of failed payment or chargeback. Bank fees, investigation costs, and reasonable administrative expenses linked to an unjustified chargeback may be invoiced to the Client. For B2B Clients established in France, the statutory EUR 40 recovery fee applies, in addition to interest charged at the Hungarian Central Bank base rate plus 8% per year.

9. Special Cases

Billing errors: If caused by Stone Rank Kft., a correction, credit note, or refund will be issued.
Duplicate payments: Duplicate charges will be refunded after verification.
Technical access issues: Occasional downtime does not qualify for a refund. A goodwill adjustment may be granted at the discretion of Stone Rank Kft.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

In accordance with Regulation (EU) No 524/2013, consumers may submit complaints via the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform, accessible at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
