Compare the 10 best web design agencies in Hong Kong on four buyer criteria: core web offer, fit with the Hong Kong market, named clients and a readable method or price.

In short
CLEARgo tops our ranking of the best web design agencies in Hong Kong for Shopify Plus and Adobe Commerce stores. FirmStudio suits a design-led website for a large brand or a public institution, and Chic Workshop is the Shopify specialist for brands that already sell, or plan to sell, on Shopify. GoGo Eshop is the Magento studio, while East Tech 東科技 and Cosmas.io suit small businesses that want a bilingual site with a clear package or a clear process. Asporea Digital offers English-based support with invoices in HKD, Digital Candy and BrianLO Studio build WordPress sites and online shops, and 香港公司聯網 publishes its prices in Hong Kong dollars. The deciding criterion is not a rating or a project count. It is whether the agency shows a Hong Kong base, names the sites it built and explains how it works.

Choosing among the web design agencies in Hong Kong means choosing among a dense market. The Census and Statistics Department counted about 11500 companies in Hong Kong's information and communications sector in 2024, in its release of 28 November 2025 on the 2024 economic activities survey. Not every one of them builds websites, but each business that launches or rebuilds one has to choose a partner.
A Hong Kong website has to work for the people who read it, often in English and in Chinese. An agency that knows this context can plan the languages, the layout of the site and the way a visitor compares a company with its competitors. That is why this ranking applies one filter first: only agencies whose own site shows an address, an office or a team in Hong Kong can appear.
Online selling is also growing. The Census and Statistics Department provisionally estimated online retail sales at HK$35.7 billion for 2025, up 12.8% over 2024, in its release of 3 February 2026. For a business that sells online, the shop is the website, so the choice of partner carries more weight than it did when a brochure site was enough.
Four fears come up again and again, and each one can be checked before signing.
1. Paying for a site they cannot change. A website built on closed tools, or on files the agency never hands over, leaves the company dependent on its builder for every text change. Ask who holds the source files and the hosting account before the first invoice.
2. A site that only works in one language. A Hong Kong business often needs an English version and a Chinese version. A site translated late, or machine-translated and never read by a native speaker, can cost more in credibility than it saved in budget. Ask which written form of Chinese the readers expect, too.
3. Depending on one person who disappears. Many small studios and freelancers are excellent, but a project run by a single person has no backup when that person is ill, busy or gone. Ask who else knows the project and where the files are stored.
4. A quote that leaves out what comes after launch. Domain renewals, hosting, security updates and content changes are often missing from the first figure. Some agencies on this list publish their prices, which makes a comparison easier. Whatever the format, ask whether the quote covers the first year after launch.
Four criteria, fixed before we checked who meets them, and applied only to what each agency publishes on its own site. The Hong Kong filter comes before them: the site must show a Hong Kong address, office or team.
1. Website building at the core of the offer. Creating websites must be a real service shown on the homepage, not one line among hosting, print and social media.
2. A fit with the Hong Kong market. The site or the support is available in English and Chinese, or the agency bills in Hong Kong dollars (HKD).
3. Named clients or projects. Clients, case studies or projects that a buyer can check by visiting the website.
4. A readable method or price. Work steps, packages or published prices, visible on the site.
The text we reviewed was checked in November 2026, and this page is scheduled for review every 90 days, because local agencies change names, teams and offers often. What we deliberately did not do: we did not reuse the Google ratings, project counts, award claims, satisfaction percentages or "best agency" statements that some sites display. None of them can be verified from the outside, and a claim that an agency is the best in its city is only the agency's own claim.

CLEARgo describes itself as a digital commerce agency for Greater China and Southeast Asia, and as a certified Shopify Plus Partner and Adobe Commerce (Magento) Partner. Its site gives an office in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong. Its homepage names clients including Royal Canin, SaSa and Haagen Dazs, and sets out three steps: strategy, delivery and operations.
Best for: brands and retailers that need a Shopify Plus or Adobe Commerce store with ongoing operations. Its focus is enterprise commerce, so a simple brochure site may be more than you need, and the text we reviewed shows no prices.

FirmStudio describes itself as a full-service creative digital agency based in Hong Kong, with an office in North Point. It specialises in website design integrated with user experience, design thinking, branding and marketing. Its featured projects include the Hong Kong Palace Museum website, the Harbour Plaza Hotels and Resorts Group site and the HKEX market and group website.
Best for: organisations that want a design-led website for a public-facing brand, such as a museum, a hotel group or a listed company. The site describes its method in general terms, so ask for the steps and the team before you sign. Its award and project totals are its own claims.

Chic Workshop says it is a Shopify agency located in Hong Kong, founded there in 2006, that designs, builds and supports Shopify stores for brands. Its site is in Chinese, and its portfolio includes UNITEK, city'super and LOG-ON. The homepage also warns that fraudulent emails are being sent in its name, and that its legitimate messages come only from addresses ending in @chicworkshop.com.
Best for: brands that already sell on Shopify, or plan to, and want a dedicated Shopify team. The site does not publish the steps of a project, so ask for them, and check the sender address of every message you receive in the agency's name.

GoGo Eshop is a Hong Kong web design company with an office in Kwun Tong, which says it has 17 years of experience in websites and online shops. It builds Magento (Adobe Commerce) stores and offers technical support, feature development, optimised cloud servers and ERP and POS integration. Its client list includes Chicco Hong Kong, HKWS and STOCKROOM Hong Kong.
Best for: merchants that run, or plan to run, on Adobe Commerce (Magento) and need the store linked to an ERP or POS system. The site is in Chinese and publishes neither prices nor a method, so ask for a written scope before comparing quotes.

East Tech 東科技 says it has been a Hong Kong web design company since 2008 and has built more than 6000 company websites. Its services cover showcase sites, online shops, multilingual sites, responsive design, SEO and hosting. Its homepage shows a web design package from $8800 as a limited-time offer, and says a site can go live in as little as 7 days.
Best for: small and mid-sized companies that want a fixed package and a site in more than one language. The price is presented as a limited-time offer, so ask what the package includes and whether it covers hosting and later changes.

Asporea Digital has a Central office, according to its site, and designs and hosts WordPress and WooCommerce sites. It offers English-based support, with estimates and invoices in HKD, and sells packages for online stores, bookings and memberships, client portals, hosting and WordPress care plans. Its method starts with content and structure, before the design of each page.
Best for: the small businesses its site names as a good fit, such as professional services firms, cafés, trades and start-ups, that want one team for design and hosting. The site does not publish a client list, so ask for references before you sign.

Cosmas.io describes itself as a local team serving small and medium businesses in Hong Kong, with WordPress sites, bilingual sites, SEO, tracking-code installation and site migration. Its homepage sets out four steps: a free consultation, a plan, production, then launch and handover.
Best for: small businesses that want a bilingual WordPress site, with SEO and analytics set up from the start. The site names no clients, so ask for examples from your sector.

Digital Candy is an agency in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, that builds custom WordPress sites, online shops and multilingual sites. Its homepage lists website upgrades and maintenance, and names brands it has helped, including Mind HK, Easyknit, CIGOGNE Bébé, Karen Millen and Made.co.
Best for: small brands that want a custom WordPress site with maintenance after launch. Confirm who runs the project day to day. The site has a pricing page, but the figures are not in the text we reviewed.

BrianLO Studio says it is a design studio founded in Hong Kong in 2012, and that it has served more than 200 companies. It builds WordPress corporate sites, WooCommerce shops, one-page sites and responsive sites, and offers logos, visual identity, SEO, Google Ads and email marketing. Its site says every website design comes with a list of free services.
Best for: small and mid-sized companies that want one studio for a WordPress site and for its printed or branding material. The site does not publish named clients, so ask for examples, and get the list of free services in writing.

香港公司聯網 is a web design company in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong, which says it has more than 20 years of experience. It publishes its prices in Hong Kong dollars: HK$1480 for a single page and HK$3980 for a company website. Its sites include a CMS so the client can update content, and it says a site can be completed in as little as 10 days.
Best for: companies that want a fixed price in HKD and a CMS site they can edit themselves. The site does not publish named clients, and its sites are built on customised templates, so ask how much of the design will be unique to your brand.
The four criteria were chosen before we checked who meets them, and each cell reflects what the agency publishes on its own site. "Not published" means the text we reviewed does not show that information, not that the agency lacks it. Ask the agencies directly before drawing conclusions from a gap.

Three questions separate a shortlist faster than any portfolio, and each one matches one of the fears above.
1. Who holds the source files, the domain and the hosting account? The answer should be in writing and should let you leave the agency without losing the site. If the files stay on the agency's servers, ask what happens to them if the contract ends.
2. Which languages are included, and who checks each version? If the site needs English and Chinese, the quote should name both, the form of Chinese your readers use, and the person who writes and approves each text. A translation that nobody at your company reads can do lasting damage.
3. Which result will be measured, and against what starting point? Agree before the start on one or two indicators you already track, such as enquiries, orders or bookings, and record their level on day one. Without a baseline, no report can show whether the new site worked.
Three limits, stated clearly, because a ranking that claims to settle everything is not usable.
It is built only on public information. We read what each agency publishes on its own site and checked the scope of the Hong Kong filter. We did not visit any client, test any site in a browser or verify a single project. Several sites are in Chinese, and we read them as published. An agency that communicates little and works very well will be underrated here.
It cannot know your context. A retail brand, a school and a professional firm do not need the same partner. The "Best for" lines matter more than the order of the list.
It ages. Agencies in a city of this size merge, change their names and move offices, and the Hong Kong filter depends on what each site says today. This page is reviewed every 90 days, and the review date is stated in the method.
This is the honest part, on a page published by a software company. An agency beats software on everything that requires understanding a client's market, making choices about tone and structure, and taking responsibility for a result it does not fully control. Knowing which page a visitor needs first, deciding what to cut from a brief, and writing a text that sounds like the company rather than a template: none of that is automatable today, and anyone claiming otherwise is selling you something. For a broader view of when hiring an agency makes more sense than running a channel in house, see our agency guide.
What no agency project solves on its own is what happens after launch. AI assistants and search engines read more than the homepage: they draw on guides, comparison pages and articles, and a site that is well designed but never updated remains a weak source for them.
That is what Sorank works on. It is software, not an agency: keyword research, article writing, internal linking, publishing to your site and tracking how often you appear in the answers AI assistants give. That last part is not decoration. Pricing starts at 99€ per month, with 3 days offered and a card required at sign up. If you would rather talk it through first, book a call.
If you want a single recommendation: CLEARgo if your store runs on Shopify Plus or Adobe Commerce, FirmStudio if the website must carry a large brand or a public institution, Asporea Digital if you are a small business that wants English support and HKD invoices, and 香港公司聯網 if you want a fixed price in Hong Kong dollars and a site you can edit yourself. Whichever you choose, ask who holds the files before asking what the site will look like.
If you are still weighing an agency against doing the work in house, our agency guide sets out the trade-offs, and the checks above will tell you quickly which Hong Kong agency deserves a second call.
Hong Kong has more credible names than a top 10 can hold. These agencies also show a Hong Kong base on their own sites, and each line below comes from what they publish about themselves.

|---|---|---|

| Addison Wan | addisonwan.com | Hong Kong web design company specialising in WordPress, Joomla and online shop websites |

This ranking reflects my own experience and opinion as an SEO expert with more than 7 years in the field. It is based on verified facts, but the order itself is my personal view.
The answer should be in writing and should let you leave the agency without losing the site. If the files stay on the agency's servers, ask what happens to them if the contract ends.
If the site needs English and Chinese, the quote should name both, the form of Chinese your readers use, and the person who writes and approves each text. A translation that nobody at your company reads can do lasting damage.
