Our ranking of the 10 best SEO agencies in Toronto in 2026, limited to agencies with a Toronto base, with sources, method and limits stated.

In short
Digital Ducats tops our ranking of the best SEO agencies in Toronto, and it is the strongest pick for home service businesses that need calls from Google Maps, with a Toronto headquarters and a grid-scan case to check. 2Marketing and Casa Media House are the broadest choices for businesses that want SEO from a full-service team; only Casa Media House names its clients with their results. Konan & Spade fits companies that put AI answers first, Canopy Media suits lead generation across Canada, and Delta Growth suits teams that want every channel in one reporting dashboard. The deciding question is not who claims the most, but who can show the Toronto work, the results and the people who will do it.

Choosing among the best SEO agencies in Toronto means choosing for a market where Google Maps is often the storefront. According to Business Development Bank of Canada's local SEO tips for small businesses, updated 1 August 2023, local results weigh relevance, distance and prominence. Prominence means how well known a business is, through links and citations. BDC notes that reviews count as citations, that search engines give greater weight to citations, and that Google favours the most highly reviewed local businesses. A Toronto agency is measured on the same signals as any other, but it can check them from the places where your customers actually search.
Toronto is a crowded local market. The 2025 Toronto Employment Survey, published by the City of Toronto, counted 74560 establishments in the city in 2025, a net increase of 1380 or 1.9 per cent. A business in that market competes for the same map results as its neighbours, so a generic national SEO plan rarely wins the local results on its own.
That is why this ranking only counts agencies whose own site shows a Toronto address, office or team. A national agency with no Toronto presence was left out, even when it serves Toronto clients, because a local agency is better placed to check the results from the streets where your customers search.
Four fears come up again and again when a Toronto business looks for an SEO agency, and each one is about trust in what the agency reports.
1. Paying for a ranking that only exists in the agency's own search. A rank checked from the agency's office or from a generic desktop search does not show the map your customer sees a few kilometres away. Ask how map positions are checked, from which areas, and with which tool.
2. Reviews that were written, not earned. On 18 January 2024, the Competition Bureau warned that anyone who writes or permits writing reviews that give a false or misleading impression to consumers could be liable under the Competition Act. Any review an agency writes, or lets someone else write for your business, can create that liability. Your Google reviews have to come from real customers.
3. A contract for a channel you cannot judge yet. 2Marketing says it has no long-term contracts. Get that in writing, with the notice period and what you keep if you leave, because it is the only protection you have in the first months.
4. Meeting one team and getting another. A Toronto address on the homepage does not say who does the work. Konan & Spade, for example, lists offices in four cities. Ask which people will run your account, where they are based and whether you will speak to them.
Four criteria, in this order, applied only to what each agency publishes about itself on its own site. We fixed them before checking which agency would win them.
1. SEO as a named main service (required). SEO has to appear on the site as a service the agency sells, not only as a passing mention.
2. A Toronto base (required). The site has to show a Toronto address, office or team. Agencies without one were excluded, whatever their reach.
3. Local expertise (counted in addition). Local SEO, Google Business Profile or Google Maps work, named on the site.
4. Published proof (counted in addition). Named clients, case figures or Google reviews visible on the site.
Every homepage on this list was reread in November 2026, and this page is scheduled for review every 90 days. What we deliberately did not do: we did not verify any count, rating or award, and we did not treat "guaranteed" or "#1" as evidence. Those words are reported as what each agency says about itself.

Digital Ducats is a local SEO agency for home service businesses across the US and Canada, and its site gives its headquarters as Toronto. Its services are Local SEO, Local Service Ads, SEO, GEO and website design. Its best proof is a grid-scan case: a roofer in Whitby, Ontario moved from 0% to 80% of a 25-point Google Maps grid for "roof repair" in 32 days. The homepage also shows 16 Google reviews, all five stars, and a 2021 Clutch award for Canada's top SEO freelancer.
Best for: plumbers, electricians, HVAC companies and roofers that need calls and booked jobs from Google Maps. The same focus is its limit: a software company or a law firm will find little here that is written for them. One roofer's case is an example, not an average.

2Marketing is an SEO agency whose homepage shows its location as TORONTO, ON. It lists SEO, local SEO, AI SEO, generative engine optimization, link building, web design, PPC and social media management, and it names Google Map Pack optimization among its services. Its proof is mostly counts rather than names: the site claims 5000+ projects completed, 2000+ customers served and 15+ years of experience, all as the agency's own statements. It also says it has a 100% in-house team, no long-term contracts and transparent billing.
Best for: businesses that want local SEO, Google Maps work and AI answer visibility under one roof. Ask for named case studies before you sign, since the site publishes totals but no client names.

Casa Media House presents itself as a Toronto digital marketing agency serving Canada and the US. Its core services are SEO and search marketing, Google and Meta ads, WordPress development and CRM automation. Its proof is the most concrete on this list, with named clients and a result for each: Sea Can Guys is credited with more than 2373 inbound leads, Golden Thai Massage with a 70% increase in appointments, and Brosses Lacasse with 41% more organic visibility after a technical SEO project that got 56 pages indexed instead of 18. The site also shows a 4.8 Google rating from 18 reviews. Its copy says both "Est. 2021" and "10+ years of experience", so ask which one applies.
Best for: businesses that want SEO and paid ads run as one lead system, with case results they can check. Its Golden Thai Massage example was delivered across Abbotsford and Chilliwack, so ask for the Toronto work specifically.

Growth Kolony presents itself as a Toronto growth hacking and web design agency, serving startups, brands and agencies. SEO is one of four named services, next to AI integration, content and social, and web design. Its homepage names five clients: STUDIO302, UNITED ATHLETICS, ADNARCHIST, RETROSHIRTS CLUB and GODS AI AGENTS. The texts we read publish no figure, and the page description calls its growth "guaranteed", a claim to test against the contract.
Best for: startups and consumer brands that want growth campaigns beyond search, with SEO as one part of a wider plan. If you need a search specialist only, compare it with agencies where SEO comes first.

Konan & Spade is a generative engine optimization agency whose homepage lists offices in Dubai, India, Toronto and New York. It puts GEO first, then SEO, web development, UI/UX, brand design, search, Meta and LinkedIn ads, email and e-commerce. Its clearest named proof is its work for Cohen Muris, which the site describes as 14 practice pages and 9 legal guides.
Best for: businesses that want to be cited by AI assistants and are comfortable with a team spread across several countries. SEO is present but not the headline, so ask for SEO results specifically.

Delta Growth is a Toronto-based company whose homepage presents SEO, social ads, CRO, marketing automation, analytics and paid search as its services. It states plainly that it does not do creative or branding. Its promise is transparency: every client gets access to its project management system and an always up-to-date reporting dashboard for each channel. The site also promises contracts that "grow and shrink" with the client. The texts we read name no client and publish no result figure.
Best for: companies that want a performance team reporting every channel in one dashboard. Ask for a sample report before you sign, and for named results, which the site does not show.

Canopy Media is a lead generation agency with offices in Toronto, Houston and Collingwood. It lists SEO, paid advertising, AI search optimization, website design and conversion-focused marketing among its services, and it displays a 4.9 rating on Google reviews. Its homepage also has counters for clients served, leads generated and years of experience, but we could not read their values in the text. It says it has worked since 2008 with businesses in Canada and the United States.
Best for: businesses that judge marketing by lead volume and want SEO and paid media measured against leads. SEO is one service among several here.

Consensus Creative is a Toronto web design and SEO agency. Its main activity is building websites: custom design and development, training, hosting and maintenance come before SEO and digital marketing strategy in its service list. It claims 100+ five-star reviews and 25+ design awards. The one testimonial we could read is from Tasso Mich, who says the new site brings "three times more traffic" and converts "74% more leads" than the old one.
Best for: businesses that need a new site and want search work built into it from the start. If ranking first is your priority, ask how much of the team's time goes to SEO.

Jeff Social Marketing calls itself a Toronto-based digital marketing agency serving businesses around the world. Its services are website design, search engine optimization, social media marketing, Google Ads and reputation management, plus press release distribution. The homepage has a "Featured on" line, but the texts we read publish few client names or results.
Best for: businesses that want one agency for websites, SEO and social media. Ask for named references and recent results, because the site offers few.

GlobeSign describes itself as a Toronto company providing websites, logos, SEO and social media marketing "at best prices since 2008". Its homepage headline promises "guaranteed results", and it says businesses have "seen up to 3X revenue growth" with its services. Those are the company's own claims, and the texts we read name no client case to check them against. It presents itself as trusted by startups and enterprises across Toronto, Canada and the USA.
Best for: small businesses that want websites, logos and SEO from one supplier and are ready to ask for proof. Turn any "guaranteed" result into a written term before you sign.
The columns below were chosen before we checked who wins them. Each cell reflects what the agency publishes on its own site as of November 2026. "Texts read" means what we could read on the homepage, not a verdict on the agency's work.
| Agency | Main services named | Toronto signal on its site | Proof published |
|---|---|---|---|
| Digital Ducats | Local SEO, Local Service Ads, SEO, GEO | Headquarters in Toronto | 5.0 from 16 Google reviews, grid-scan case in Whitby, Ontario |
| 2Marketing | SEO, local SEO, GEO, web design, PPC | TORONTO, ON | Totals only: 5000+ projects, 2000+ customers, no named clients |
| Casa Media House | SEO, Google and Meta ads, web, CRM | Presents itself as a Toronto agency, serving Canada and the US | 4.8 from 18 Google reviews, named clients with results |
| Growth Kolony | Growth marketing, AI integration, content, SEO, web design | Toronto and GTA | Five named clients, no figures in the texts read |
| Konan & Spade | GEO, SEO, web, brand, paid ads | One office in Toronto, among four | Named client Cohen Muris, 14 practice pages and 9 legal guides |
| Delta Growth | SEO, social ads, CRO, analytics, paid search | Toronto-based | Dashboard and project access promised, no named client in the texts read |
| Canopy Media | Lead generation, SEO, paid ads, web design | Toronto office, among three | 4.9 on Google reviews |
| Consensus Creative | Web design, SEO and digital marketing strategy | Presents itself as a Toronto agency | 100+ five-star reviews, one named testimonial |
| Jeff Social Marketing | Website design, SEO, social media, Google Ads | Toronto-based | Few named clients or results in the texts read |
| GlobeSign | Websites, logos, SEO, social media | Toronto company | Claims of guaranteed results, no named case in the texts read |
Three questions separate a shortlist faster than any case study, and each one matches one of the fears above.
1. Who does the work, and where are they based? The answer should name the people who will run your account and the office they work from. A Toronto address alone does not answer it, especially for agencies with offices in several countries.
2. How do you check my positions on Google Maps? Ask which areas are measured, how often, and with which tool. A useful answer describes the streets or service area your customers use, not only a national keyword list.
3. Where do the reviews come from? Ask how reviews are requested from real customers and whether anyone on the team writes reviews for clients. Any answer that involves writing reviews should end the conversation, given the Competition Act.
Three limits, stated clearly, because a ranking that claims to settle everything is not usable.
It is built only on public information. We read what each agency publishes and checked that the sites were online in November 2026. We did not audit any campaign, interview any client or verify a single result. An agency that communicates little and works very well will be underrated here.
It checks presence, not service. A Toronto address on a website shows where an agency is listed, not how its team performs. The right partner for a home service business is rarely the right one for a B2B software company, so the Best for lines matter more than the order.
It ages. Agencies in this market open, change offices and rebrand, and Google changes how local results are shown. This page is reviewed every 90 days, and the reread date is stated in the method.
This is the honest part, on a page published by a software company. An agency beats software on everything that requires reading a local market: knowing which neighbourhoods a plumber serves, judging when a review request feels pushy, writing a page a local customer trusts, and deciding when to answer a bad review and when to leave it alone. None of that is automatable today, and anyone who claims otherwise is selling you something. For the agency-side view, written for SEO and GEO consultants who run an agency, see our agency guide.
What no local SEO campaign solves on its own is everything that happens off Google Maps. AI assistants and search engines draw on articles, guides and comparison pages, and a business that is well reviewed in Toronto but absent from the rest of the web remains a fragile recommendation.
That is what Sorank works on. It is software, not an agency: keyword research, article writing, internal linking, publishing to your site, and tracking how often your pages are cited in AI answers.
If you want a single recommendation: Digital Ducats if your business depends on calls from Google Maps, 2Marketing or Casa Media House if you want SEO from a broader team, although only Casa Media House publishes named client results, Canopy Media if lead volume across Canada matters most, and Konan & Spade if AI answers are your priority and you are comfortable with an international team.
And ask how an agency earns its local results before you ask what it promises. The local campaigns that last rest on a real Toronto team, honest reviews and content your business approves. The ones that backfire start from promised guarantees and reviews nobody can trace. Other agencies came up in our review. Each one is described below only by what it publishes about itself.
| Agency | Site | What they publish about themselves |
|---|---|---|
| Go Online Marketing | goonlinemarketing.com | Online marketing agency based in Toronto, offering SEO, SEM, social media, email, video and print |
| Brand Vision | brandvm.com | Award-winning branding agency with a Toronto headquarters, offering SEO and GEO alongside branding and web design |
| BrandLume | brandlume.com | Describes itself as the top Toronto-based digital marketing agency, offering PPC, white hat SEO and web design |
| Amber Mint | ambermint.ca | Digital marketing agency in Toronto offering websites, SEO, social media, paid ads, email and branding, with 12+ years of experience claimed |
This ranking reflects my own experience and opinion as an SEO expert with more than 7 years in the field. It is based on verified facts, but the order itself is my personal view.
Digital Ducats is the strongest fit on this list, because it focuses on local SEO for home services and shows a Google Maps grid case in Whitby, Ontario.
In the texts we read, none of the ten agencies publishes a price, so ask for a written proposal and check the commitment terms before you sign.
Look for an address, office or team on the agency's own site, then confirm the office, the team and its Google Business Profile before you sign.
