Your email marketing software will send every newsletter, every reminder and every welcome email your customers receive. Here are the 10 email marketing tools we pick for 2026, from the French multichannel platform to the deliverability specialist. For each one: what it does, who it is for, its limitations and its price when the vendor publishes it in euros, based on the vendor's own site.

The 10 best email marketing software in 2027

  1. Brevo: entrepreneurs and SMBs that want email, SMS and customer relationship management on a French platform.
  2. Mailchimp: small businesses that want to get started with no technical skills and connect lots of tools.
  3. MailerLite: creators and small teams looking for a simple tool with landing pages and a website.
  4. GetResponse: entrepreneurs and online stores selling through email, webinars and online courses.
  5. Kit: creators who make a living from their audience.
  6. Mailjet: teams where marketers and developers both send campaigns and transactional emails.
  7. Sendethic: organizations that care about hosting in France and billing with no subscription.
  8. Dolist: teams that want software made in France and support from experts.
  9. CleverReach: beginners and professionals alike who mainly send a newsletter.
  10. Mindbaz: media companies and advertising agencies that monetize their email databases.

Why does your choice of email marketing software matter so much in 2027?

In 2026, measuring your newsletter opens now has a precise framework in France. On April 14, 2026, the CNIL, France's data protection authority, published the final version of its recommendations on tracking pixels in emails, those invisible one-pixel images whose loading reveals that a message has been read. It distinguishes the pixels that require the recipient's consent from those that are exempt, and explains how to collect that consent, withdraw it and keep proof of it. The CNIL says it wanted to clarify this framework in response to the growing number of complaints it receives on the subject.

One exemption covers individual measurement of deliverability, meaning whether messages actually arrive, for transactional emails (order confirmation, password reset...) and for those the recipient has agreed to. It lets you remove from your lists the people who no longer open your emails, with data limited to what is strictly necessary. For addresses collected before publication, the CNIL asks senders to clearly inform recipients about the use of pixels within three months, so they can easily object.

These rules come on top of the rules on prospecting: an individual must have given their consent before receiving your commercial emails, unless they are already a customer and you are offering them similar products, or your message is not commercial. Mailbox providers also have their own requirements: Google requires anyone sending to Gmail to authenticate their sending domain, mandatory for all senders since February 2024.

So check in each tool how it inserts the tracking pixel, records consents and handles unsubscribes. Switching tools means rebuilding lists, templates and workflows; some vendors help: Kit migrates lists and automations for free on its paid plans, GetResponse offers dedicated migration and onboarding, and MailerLite provides an importer from Mailchimp.

How did we rank these tools?

To choose between tools that all send email campaigns, we used four criteria and applied them only to information the vendors publish themselves: homepage, features and pricing, viewed in October 2026. We did not subscribe to any paid plan and have no partnership with the vendors mentioned.

1. Deliverability, named and equipped. Domain authentication, dedicated IP address, address validation, bounce handling, support from specialists: we kept what the vendor describes precisely.

2. Compliance and data hosting. The announced hosting location, consent and unsubscribe tools, and any mention of the GDPR.

3. Creation and automation. Drag-and-drop editor, templates, segmentation, automated workflows, A/B testing, and above all the plan in which each feature is included.

4. A clear offer in French. A French-language site, prices published in euros, a free plan or a trial. A tool whose site is in English only stays in the ranking, with that limitation noted.

What we deliberately left out: customer counts, review ratings, awards and deliverability rates displayed by vendors, which cannot be verified from outside.

The 10 best email marketing software: the profiles

1. Brevo

Brevo brings together email, SMS, WhatsApp, push notifications, chat, a chatbot, appointment booking, transactional messages and a CRM (customer relationship management software) with sales tracking on a single platform. For email marketing, the tool offers a drag-and-drop editor, ready-to-use templates, segmentation and marketing automation. Its AI agents, grouped under the name Aura, generate email content, segment contacts and optimize send time. The vendor describes itself as "the only French alternative for all your marketing and sales channels".

Brevo highlights its European roots: infrastructure at OVHcloud in France and Germany and at Google Cloud in Belgium, built-in GDPR compliance at no extra cost and customer service in French. Transactional emails are included in every plan, through API (application programming interface), SMTP or webhooks.

Best for: entrepreneurs and small businesses that want to combine email, SMS and customer relationships on a single platform hosted in Europe, with a team that answers in French.

Strengths: data hosted in Europe and customer service in French; transactional emails included in every plan; a free plan with no credit card to get started.

Limitations: marketing automation and A/B testing start with the Standard plan, and WhatsApp and pop-ups with the Pro plan, at €499 a month. The breadth of the platform (sales, loyalty, phone) goes beyond the needs of a simple newsletter.

Pricing: free plan; Starter at €7 a month billed monthly (€6.33 billed annually), from 5,000 emails a month; Standard at €15 a month; Pro at €499 a month; Enterprise on quote; VAT treatment not stated on the page (price checked on October 9, 2026).

2. Mailchimp

According to its French-language features page, Mailchimp covers A/B tests, a customer journey builder, an email builder, landing pages, dynamic content, generative AI and a subject line helper. On the audience side, the tool offers behavioral targeting, demographic predictions, segmentation, signup forms and surveys. Its promise: email and SMS marketing "with no learning curve".

Mailchimp also lets you schedule posts and run ads on Facebook, Instagram and Google from your account. Its ecosystem counts more than 300 integrations, including Canva, Salesforce, Shopify and Zapier, with 24/7 support.

Best for: small businesses that want to get started with no technical skills and plug their email marketing into the tools they already use.

Strengths: more than 300 integrations; a free plan that includes email marketing, landing pages, forms and basic automation; AI tools for content, subject lines and campaign recommendations.

Limitations: the free plan stops at 250 contacts, and SMS, advanced automation, A/B tests and predictive segmentation are reserved for paid plans. The site warns that extra fees apply if you exceed contact or sending limits.

Pricing: Free at €0 up to 250 contacts; Essentials shown at €11.70 a month for 12 months; Standard shown at €18 a month for 12 months, with up to 6,000 emails a month; 14-day free trial; VAT treatment not stated on the page (price checked on October 9, 2026).

3. MailerLite

MailerLite combines email campaigns, automations, landing pages, forms and pop-ups, website building, digital product sales and paid newsletters. Its drag-and-drop editor offers more than 70 content blocks, including polls, quizzes, countdowns and coupons. The Smart Sending feature relies on machine learning to send each email at the right time for each subscriber.

Every paid plan gives access to the full feature set, and the price depends on the number of subscribers and the sending volume. MailerLite also offers an MCP server, a connector to run campaigns and automations from ChatGPT or Claude, and claims more than 150 integrations, including Shopify, WooCommerce, Stripe and WordPress.

Best for: creators, freelancers and small teams that want a newsletter, a landing page, a small website and digital product sales in one tool.

Strengths: A/B testing is included in every plan, including the free one; digital products and paid newsletters are sold with no commission taken by MailerLite; a dedicated importer brings over subscribers, fields and segments from Mailchimp.

Limitations: the site and pricing exist in English only. The free plan stops at 250 subscribers, 2,500 emails a month and 3 automations, with community support.

Pricing: free plan up to 250 subscribers; paid plan prices published in US dollars on the site.

4. GetResponse

GetResponse sends unlimited newsletters, with AI that writes subject lines, personalizes content and optimizes send time. Its marketing automation runs on a visual drag-and-drop builder: welcoming leads, recovering abandoned carts, triggering when a visitor takes an action on your site. The vendor calls itself an "email marketing and automation platform".

The platform also covers sales funnels, webinars, AI website and course creation, premium newsletters, web push notifications and chat. GetResponse claims more than 150 integrations and 24/7 support.

Best for: entrepreneurs and online stores that sell through email, and anyone who wants to monetize their knowledge with courses and webinars.

Strengths: unlimited email sends from the Starter plan; e-commerce tools (abandoned carts, promo codes, revenue reports) from the Marketer plan; webinars, website builder and course builder in the Creator plan.

Limitations: the Starter plan includes only one custom automation workflow. SMS marketing, transactional emails and a dedicated IP address appear only in the list for the Enterprise offer, which has custom pricing.

Pricing: Starter at €16 a month billed monthly (€13.12 billed annually); Marketer at €54; Creator at €62; Enterprise on custom pricing; prices excluding taxes, with the site noting that local taxes may be added (price checked on October 9, 2026).

5. Kit

Kit, formerly ConvertKit, is aimed at creators who earn a living from their work: "The email platform for creator business owners". The tool combines newsletters, landing pages, a newsletter mini-site, tags and segments, and visual automations that react to a purchase, a click or a form. The Recommendations feature puts you in other creators' signup flows, so that their subscribers can become yours too.

Kit puts the emphasis on monetization: a digital product store with fees of 0.6% plus card processing fees, and newsletter sponsorships with brands. The team migrates your lists and automations for free on paid plans.

Best for: authors, YouTubers, podcasters and other creators building an audience and selling digital products or subscriptions directly.

Strengths: a free plan up to 10,000 subscribers, with unlimited landing pages and forms, unlimited sends and digital product sales; growth through recommendations between creators; migration handled by the team.

Limitations: the site and pricing exist in English only. Unlimited visual automations, email sequences and subject line A/B testing start with the paid Creator plan.

Pricing: free plan up to 10,000 subscribers; paid plan prices published in US dollars on the site.

6. Mailjet

Mailjet routes marketing campaigns and transactional emails, from Black Friday campaigns to password resets, through the same platform and the same templates, shared between developers and marketers. On the marketing side: drag-and-drop editor, real-time co-editing, AI email generator, segmentation in plain language, automations triggered by user actions and A/B tests. Its product and pricing pages carry the name Sinch Mailjet.

On the technical side, Mailjet provides a sending API, an SMTP relay (a sending server your applications use to dispatch their emails) and webhooks to track events in real time. For deliverability, the tool offers address validation, email previews, dedicated IP addresses and domain authentication. Teams get shared workspaces, user roles and approval flows.

Best for: marketing teams and technical profiles that share the sending of campaigns and transactional emails.

Strengths: API, SMTP relay and webhooks from the free plan; subscription forms with double opt-in and built-in GDPR compliance; an email tracking consent setting from the free plan.

Limitations: the free plan caps at 200 emails a day, and automations and landing pages are both reserved for the Premium plan.

Pricing: Free at €0 (6,000 emails a month, 200 a day, 1,000 contacts); Starter at €8 a month for 8,000 emails; Essential at €18 and Premium at €27 a month for 15,000 emails; VAT treatment not stated on the page (price checked on October 10, 2026).

7. Sendethic

Sendethic combines email marketing, transactional SMTP and SMS, an email and landing page editor, a marketing database that consolidates, scores and segments contacts, and marketing automation with workflows, a tracking pixel on your site and marketing pressure management. This French company has been active since 2006. The former site message-business.com now redirects to sendethic.com.

Sendethic says it "makes" its product in France, meaning it designs, develops and hosts its servers in France. The vendor offers onboarding workshops, remote experts, French support and campaign delegation. Its homepage also mentions a tie-up with the TeamSystem group.

Best for: complex organizations and networked or multi-branch businesses that want data hosted in France, hands-on support and several accounts with controlled access.

Strengths: subscription-free pricing, with credits valid for one year and extended with each repurchase; unlimited forms, landing pages and users for customers; a free Découverte offer every month (100 marketing emails, 100 SMTP emails, 10 SMS).

Limitations: the credit model requires you to estimate your annual volume, with a minimum order of €99 excl. VAT. Several options are paid annually, such as dedicated IP addresses from €599 excl. VAT a year. The pages we viewed do not detail how the tie-up with TeamSystem affects the offer.

Pricing: €219 excl. VAT for 10,000 marketing email credits, €659 excl. VAT for 100,000, then on a sliding scale; 1 credit equals 1 email sent to 1 contact (price checked on October 9, 2026).

8. Dolist

Dolist publishes Campaign, a platform that handles email and SMS, for both marketing and transactional sending. It includes Welkom Editor, an email builder designed for deliverability, mobile display and digital accessibility. The site also describes fine-grained segmentation, coordination of email and SMS and automation workflows triggered in real time. Dolist speaks of "email marketing software produced in France" and claims more than 25 years of expertise.

Security takes up a lot of room: infrastructure hosted in France in TIER III+ data centers (a high level of equipment redundancy), a GDPR framework run by a DPO (data protection officer) with audits and penetration tests, and sending with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, records that prove your emails really come from your domain. A range of services complements the tool: strategy and deliverability consulting, HTML studio, training.

Best for: teams that want software produced in France, hosting in France and support from experts.

Strengths: hosting in France and a GDPR framework run by a DPO; an email builder that pays attention to digital accessibility; support ranging from deliverability consulting to an HTML studio.

Limitations: in the Essentiel offer, marketing automation, the API and transactional sending are optional, and the offer includes 2 users. The site does not mention a free plan.

Pricing: Essentiel from €159 a month (100,000 email sends a month, up to 50,000 contacts); Pro from €359 a month; Entreprise from €784 a month; pricing adjustable by volume; VAT treatment not stated on the page (price checked on October 9, 2026).

9. CleverReach

CleverReach is a GDPR-compliant newsletter tool, with a French-language site. A drag-and-drop editor, free templates, a source code editor, an AI content generator and landing pages cover creation. Recipient management includes import, GDPR-compliant forms, a preference center, segmentation and tagging.

Automation offers templates for welcome, birthday and cart abandonment emails, RSS feed sending and transactional emails. Before sending, you can run an A/B test, a design and spam test or an accessibility test. Reports track opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes in real time, with optional anonymized collection, and CleverReach counts more than 120 integrations with CRMs, CMSs and online stores.

Best for: beginners and professionals alike who mainly send a newsletter.

Strengths: a free Lite plan with no time limit; unlimited emails from the Basic plan, billed by number of recipients; accessibility and spam tests available from within the tool.

Limitations: the offers are reserved for professionals (the terms refer to German law). A/B testing and unlimited automations start with the Pro plan, and the site does not mention SMS sending.

Pricing: Lite at €0 (250 recipients, 1,000 emails a month); Basic at €15 a month and Pro at €18 a month for 500 recipients; Enterprise at €499 a month; prices excl. VAT (price checked on October 9, 2026).

10. Mindbaz

Mindbaz delivers email campaigns with a strong focus on deliverability: its knowledge of French mailbox providers, a targeting and segmentation module, dynamic editorial and advertising content, and AI-generated email subject lines. The vendor presents itself as "a GDPR-compliant French tool".

Its premium features are grouped in Rubixo: SafeSend filters out dangerous addresses (spam traps, bots, disposable emails), Dashboards consolidates statistics from several databases, and Snapshot sends a daily summary of the state of your databases. Mindbaz has been supporting its customers since 2013 and relies on French data centers monitored around the clock.

Best for: media companies and advertising agencies that monetize their email databases.

Strengths: dedicated tools for database quality and deliverability with Rubixo; a claimed knowledge of French mailbox providers; an announced start with no commitment.

Limitations: the site invites you to request a demo and shows no prices on the pages we viewed, nor any free plan.

Pricing: not displayed; the site offers to book a demo.

What should you look at before choosing?

1. How will your volume be billed? CleverReach bills by number of recipients, Sendethic sells credits valid for one year, GetResponse offers unlimited sends, and Mailjet's free plan caps at 200 emails a day. Work out the cost based on the volume you expect in twelve months.

2. How does the tool measure your opens? With the CNIL's recommendations on tracking pixels, ask how the software collects and proves your recipients' consent. Mailjet offers an email tracking consent setting from its free plan and anonymous tracking from Starter, and CleverReach lets you anonymize collection in its reports.

3. Does the tool help you authenticate your domain? SPF, DKIM and DMARC prove to mailbox providers that your emails really come from you. Dolist names them explicitly, Mailjet offers domain authentication and CleverReach the creation of a DKIM record. For large volumes, also look at a dedicated IP address, a sending address reserved for your messages alone.

4. Which features are actually in your plan? A/B testing and marketing automation are often reserved for mid-tier plans: Standard at Brevo, Pro at CleverReach, Premium at Mailjet, Creator at Kit. Compare the price of the plan you will actually need.

5. Where is your data, and in which language will you work? Brevo announces hosting in Europe, Sendethic, Dolist and Mindbaz in France. MailerLite and Kit publish their site and pricing in English only: if your team needs an interface and support in French, make it a starting criterion.

Where does this ranking stop?

It depends on what vendors put online. For each tool, three pages were viewed in October 2026: the homepage, the features and the pricing. For a few vendors, one of these pages was missing or showed no price, and their profile relies on the others. No campaign was sent for this ranking.

Introductory prices change often. Some of the prices recorded are temporary, like the prices shown "for 12 months" at Mailchimp. Redo the math on the vendor's pricing page on the day you commit.

Your use matters more than the rank. A sports club's monthly newsletter, a store that follows up on abandoned carts and a media outlet sending daily to a large database do not expect the same thing from a tool. The Best for lines in the profiles count for more than the number in the ranking.

It will be revised. Offers and prices change: this page will be reread and updated regularly.

How do future subscribers find you once your email tool is chosen?

Email marketing software is for writing to people who have already left you their address: it creates the messages, sends them at the right time, follows up and measures. It does not bring in new subscribers, who discover you through a Google search or an answer from ChatGPT. That work happens on your site, with pages that answer your future customers' questions.

Sorank handles it on autopilot: it finds the keywords you can win, writes articles designed for Google and for AI assistants, publishes them on an editorial calendar and tells you when an AI cites your brand. Sorank aims to push these articles up on Google and get your brand cited by AIs, so that new visitors can join the list your email marketing software will keep alive.

To see what Sorank can do in your market, book a call.

Conclusion

One recommendation per profile: Brevo if you run a small business that wants email, SMS and customer relationships on a platform hosted in Europe, with customer service in French; Kit if you are a creator selling digital products who wants to grow a list for free up to 10,000 subscribers; Sendethic if you represent an organization that requires hosting in France, hands-on support and billing with no subscription.

Before committing for a year, open the free plan or the trial when the vendor offers one, import part of your list, authenticate your domain, set up tracking consent and send a real campaign. Those first few weeks tell you about ease of use, deliverability and support.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best free email marketing software?

Several tools in the ranking offer a permanent free plan, with different limits. Kit is free up to 10,000 subscribers, Mailjet up to 6,000 emails a month (200 a day), MailerLite and Mailchimp up to 250 subscribers or contacts, and CleverReach up to 250 recipients and 1,000 emails a month. Brevo also offers a free plan with no credit card. The right choice depends mainly on the size of your list and how often you send.

Brevo or Mailchimp: which one should you choose?

Brevo is a French platform that announces data hosting in Europe, customer service in French and transactional emails included in every plan. Mailchimp offers a site and pricing in French, more than 300 integrations and a free plan up to 250 contacts. Brevo suits an SMB that wants to combine email, SMS and customer relationships, Mailchimp a business that wants to plug its email marketing into many existing tools.

What rules apply to sending a newsletter in France?

The CNIL, France's data protection authority, requires individuals' prior consent before any commercial email, except for customers contacted about similar products or for a non-commercial message; each email must also state who is sending it and make it easy to refuse future ones. If you measure opens, its April 14, 2026 recommendation on tracking pixels applies as well. Your email marketing software must let you record these consents and handle unsubscribes.
