Our ranking of the 10 best freelance e-commerce consultants in France in 2027, Shopify and PrestaShop, checked one by one, with prices and limits.

Choosing among the best e-commerce consultants in France means handing your online store to a single person rather than to an agency team. The person who sells you the engagement is the one who codes your theme, migrates your products and answers when an order gets stuck. Shopify frames part of the trust question through its partner directory: partners are ranked in tiers (Select, Plus, Premier, Platinum) based on their experience and proven success on the platform, and their clients' reviews are published there, according to Shopify's official partner directory. This ranking brings together ten independent consultants, on Shopify and on PrestaShop, checked one by one, and says for each which type of store they suit.
An independent e-commerce consultant is both your point of contact and the person doing the work. The scoping call, the quote, the development, the launch and the maintenance all go through the same person, with no project manager between you and your store.
This format has three advantages for a young brand or a mid-sized business: contact is direct, prices are often lower than at an agency because there is no structure to fund, and the consultant knows your store's code in detail. It also has two limits: one person cannot cover design, development, SEO and advertising at once, and their holidays or a period of sick leave show up when a bug blocks sales. Several consultants on this list solve this with a network of freelancers for the other skills or with a maintenance plan.
If your store turns over several million euros and you need design, development, SEO and acquisition at the same time, an agency team is often a better fit. Our ranking of the best e-commerce and Shopify agencies in France covers that case.
Five criteria, in this order, applied only to what each consultant publishes on their own site and in Shopify's directory. Every site on this list was reviewed on 14 October 2026, and this page is scheduled for review every 90 days.
1. E-commerce is the core business. Consultants who work only on Shopify, PrestaShop or WooCommerce come before those who list online stores among other web services.
2. Proof you can check yourself. A partner status you can find in Shopify's directory, and reviews published on a third-party platform (Shopify directory, Google, Malt, ComeUp), count for more than a logo or a figure shown without a source.
3. An offer you can read before the first call. A published starting price, an hourly or daily rate, or a package with its delivery time.
4. Fit with a type of project. We deliberately kept Shopify and PrestaShop profiles that serve very different budgets, and said which ones.
5. Real, visible activity. A live website, work or reviews dated 2025 or 2026, work as an independent consultant. A business that relies on a team was left out of this ranking, even if it is well known.
What we deliberately did not do: we did not repeat the numbers of stores, projects or clients published by the consultants, because there is no way to verify them from outside. When two figures on the same site contradict each other, we quote neither. We did not audit any store.
Adrien Cardot is a full-time freelance Shopify expert, based in Paris according to Shopify's directory, and works only on this platform, which he has practised since 2020 (bachelor's degree, master's degree and a work-study placement at an agency, then freelance). He builds and redesigns stores, migrates from WooCommerce or PrestaShop, turns Figma mockups into Liquid and offers search optimisation for Google and AI assistants. His prices are published: store build from €1,500, redesign from €600, Figma integration from €2,000, search optimisation from €400 and training from €70 an hour. He is listed as a Select Partner in Shopify's official directory and shows more than 50 Malt reviews rated 5 out of 5, with the Super Malter level 3 badge. His recent work is dated 2025 and 2026, such as KULT Paris, MuralConcept or Od Run.
Best for: young brands and mid-sized businesses that are launching or migrating a Shopify store and want to know the starting price before the first call. His profile in Shopify's directory has no reviews yet: the ones he publishes come from Malt.

Arnaud Mérigeau is a PrestaShop, WordPress and WooCommerce freelancer in Bordeaux. E-commerce manager at Piles & Plus in 2008, he founded his company La Compagnie Commerce in 2012 and teaches e-commerce on a professional degree course and in Bordeaux schools. He builds, redesigns and migrates stores to PrestaShop 8 and 9, develops modules (accounting export, PIM) and handles maintenance. His site publishes orders of magnitude: €5,000 to €25,000 for a PrestaShop or WooCommerce store, €2,500 to €15,000 for a migration, with a quote after a free audit. He shows more than 50 Google reviews rated 5 out of 5 and states that he has no salesperson and no hidden subcontractor. He says he is certified as a PrestaShop Expert, a status we could not find in a public directory.
Best for: mid-sized businesses that already sell on PrestaShop or WooCommerce and are looking for an experienced developer for a redesign, a version upgrade or custom modules. His published ranges show that he targets projects of several thousand euros, not very small budgets.

Louxes is the business of Laura, an independent Shopify consultant based in Rouen who has worked only on Shopify for more than six years. She builds, redesigns and migrates stores, sets up Shopify POS for merchants who also run a physical shop and offers monthly maintenance plans; every project ends with training. She is a Shopify Select Partner, listed in the official directory since February 2021, where she has 14 reviews rated 5 out of 5. Her site cites brands such as Philippe Conticini and Sonny Angel, and states that there is no project manager and no subcontractor. Her prices are not published: the quote follows a free 30-minute first call.
Best for: brands that want a Shopify consultant with reviews you can check in Shopify's directory, and merchants who need to connect their physical shop to their online store with Shopify POS. Her surname is not shown on her site, a point to have clarified in the contract.

Victor Auffray is an independent Shopify developer working under the Tech-Everywhere brand, based in Brittany and fully remote. In e-commerce since 2019 and a Shopify developer since 2023 after a career change, he codes custom themes and apps (Liquid, Hydrogen, Shopify Functions), runs migrations and technical audits, and works on page speed and search optimisation. His price list is the most detailed on this list: an audit at €590 excl. VAT, development at €90 excl. VAT an hour with no commitment, and a Shopify tech lead service at €5,500 excl. VAT a month for a fixed six months. He works alone and calls on a collective of freelancers for design, content or data. His site publishes testimonials dated up to September 2026 with their source platform (LinkedIn, Codeur.com, Malt), and his blog has articles published in September 2026.
Best for: brands that already have a Shopify store and a steady flow of development work, and that prefer to pay for time spent. His Shopify Partner badge could not be found in the official directory, and his time on Shopify is shorter than that of the top three.

Guillaume Batier is a freelance e-commerce developer in the South of France, working under the PrestaSafe brand. He has worked on PrestaShop since 2011, was a PrestaShop ambassador from 2019 to 2023 and created PrettyBlocks, a free, open source page builder for PrestaShop. He has expanded to Shopify, where he publishes the Henka app on the Shopify App Store. He handles store builds, migrations from PrestaShop 1.6 to version 9, modules, maintenance and hosting. His prices are not published (free online quote) and his site shows 4 Google reviews rated 5 out of 5.
Best for: PrestaShop stores held back by an old version or modules that need reworking, and those weighing a move to Shopify that want a developer who knows both platforms. The small number of published reviews gives less perspective than for the better-rated profiles on this list.

Thibault Lambert founded LAM LIQUID in Créhen, near Saint-Malo, and works with brands all over France remotely. His site talks about an agency, but its legal notice shows a sole proprietorship in his name, and he presents himself as the direct contact for every project. A Shopify partner since December 2019 according to the official directory, he has 10 reviews there with a rating of 4.9 out of 5. He builds and redesigns stores, migrates from PrestaShop or WooCommerce, turns Figma mockups into editable Liquid sections and installs Shopify POS in physical shops, in Brittany and as far as Paris. His portfolio page names 33 projects, including Kadalys, Overade and Elie Bleu. His prices are not published.
Best for: brands in western France that want a Shopify consultant who can come and set up the checkout in their shop, and design studios looking for a developer to build their Figma mockups. Without published prices, you need a quote to compare.

Max Costa is a freelance e-commerce consultant in Lyon who works mostly remotely, with more than six years of experience stated. He supports brands on Shopify and Shopify Plus (build, optimisation, migration), also knows PrestaShop, Webflow and Magento 2, and adds SEO and conversion optimisation to development, including in regulated sectors such as CBD or health. He publishes his day rate: €600 excl. VAT for recurring assignments, with some projects billed per deliverable. His site reproduces five reviews from his Malt profile, with no average rating, and cites perfume clients such as Binet-Papillon. The Shopify Partners and Shopify Plus Partner logos he displays could not be found in the official directory.
Best for: brands that want the same consultant for their Shopify store and its SEO, especially in perfume and beauty. For a simple store build on a small budget, the packages of other profiles on this list are easier to read.

Romain Kersuzan has been a freelance PrestaShop developer since 2018, is a graduate engineer from ESILV and works remotely with clients all over France. He builds stores, migrates from PrestaShop 1.6 to version 8, develops custom modules and connects stores to management and accounting software (Sage, EBP, Pennylane). He also installs a Factur-X e-invoicing module, at €199 then €40 incl. VAT a month with no commitment. His site publishes price benchmarks: from €3,000 for a standard store, and from €5,000 to €15,000 or more for a custom project. He shows a rating of 5.0 out of 5 on Malt, without stating the number of reviews.
Best for: mid-sized businesses on PrestaShop that need to switch to e-invoicing or connect their store to their accounting. His city is not stated, and the « PrestaShop Certifié » logo he displays points to no verifiable proof.

Web Artisan is the business of Jimmy, a Shopify freelancer and web designer for eight years, listed in Shopify's official directory since August 2021 and based in Paris according to that directory. He designs Shopify stores sold as packages, with published prices including VAT: €450 for a store delivered in two weeks, €990 in three weeks and €2,250 for the advanced package in five weeks. He also sells ready-to-install Shopify sections, from €8.90 to €12.90. His site shows ComeUp reviews dated from July 2025 to March 2026; his profile in Shopify's directory has no reviews yet.
Best for: founders and small brands that want a polished store at a fixed price, with a delivery time known in advance. His surname is not shown and one client review mentions a team: on the first call, ask who does the work.

Loris Pinna is a freelance developer and designer in Annecy and Geneva who worked at an e-commerce agency before going independent. His e-commerce offer is entirely dedicated to PrestaShop: mockup integration, migration to PrestaShop 9, custom modules, ERP and CRM integrations, page speed, technical SEO and maintenance. He publishes price benchmarks: from €1,500 to €3,500 for a store, from €200 to €1,200 for a module and €60 an hour for maintenance. He shows a rating of 5 out of 5 from 20 Malt and Google reviews, and states that he works without subcontracting.
Best for: PrestaShop stores in Haute-Savoie and French-speaking Switzerland that want to move to PrestaShop 9 on a controlled budget. His site also presents showcase websites: on the first call, check how much of his work is e-commerce.

Four points to raise on the first call, whoever the consultant is.
Three limits, stated clearly.
It is based on public information. We read what each consultant publishes and checked that each site was live on 14 October 2026. We did not audit any store or confirm any result. A consultant who communicates little and delivers very well will be underrated here.
It does not know your project. The right consultant for a brand turning over several million euros on Shopify Plus is rarely the right one for a maker launching their first store. The Best for lines matter more than the rank number.
It ages. Shopify partner statuses change, and prices and offers change. Check on the consultant's site before you sign.
A consultant makes judgement calls: which platform to choose, which theme to keep, which feature to build, when to migrate. A well-built store only sells if it gets visitors. Organic search and visibility in AI assistants bring it traffic without paying for every click.
That is what Sorank automates: after an audit of your site, the platform finds your keywords, writes and publishes articles optimised for Google and for AI assistants, and shows you when an AI assistant cites your brand. Many brands combine the two: the consultant for the store, content to bring buyers to it.
The best e-commerce consultant is the one who works on your platform and on projects of your size. To build or migrate a Shopify store with a price known in advance, Adrien Cardot and Web Artisan are the most transparent. For an established PrestaShop store, Arnaud Mérigeau, Guillaume Batier and Romain Kersuzan. For regular Shopify development, Victor Auffray. To connect your physical shop and your online store with Shopify POS, Louxes and Thibault Lambert. And to bring buyers to your store without paying for every click, discover Sorank.
The prices published by the consultants in this ranking range from €450 incl. VAT for a small Shopify store sold as a package to €25,000 for a complex PrestaShop or WooCommerce store. For time spent, they publish €60 to €90 excl. VAT an hour, or €600 excl. VAT a day for a recurring assignment. Several publish no prices and prepare a quote after a first call.
A consultant suits you when you want a single point of contact who codes your store personally, often for a project of a few thousand to a few tens of thousands of euros. An agency becomes a better fit when you need design, development, SEO and acquisition at the same time, or a team that does not depend on a single person.
Search for their name or their business name in Shopify's official partner directory. The profile shows their tier (Select, Plus, Premier or Platinum), the date they became a partner and the reviews left by their clients. A consultant may display the logo without being listed in the directory: in that case, ask them for the link to their profile.
THEY TRIED SORANK BEFORE YOU
