In short

Bruno Florence is the strongest profile among the best email marketing consultants in France for a company that wants to rethink its whole email strategy: he has advised on email marketing since 2000, co-founded EMDay, chaired DMA France from 2018 to 2021 and publishes signed testimonials from clients such as Yves Rocher, Système U and Blancheporte. Hugo Nicole is a better fit for a fashion or beauty brand working on Klaviyo, Antonio Martos for an SME on Brevo or Klaviyo that wants an audit, a migration or training, Laurent Garnier for a sender whose emails land in spam, and David Nget for a B2C brand that wants a senior CRM manager a few days a month. The right choice depends first on your sending tool and on what is holding you back today: strategy, campaign production or deliverability.

Want to go further? Ask

Choosing among the best email marketing consultants in France means handing a single person everything that makes an email get delivered, read and followed by a purchase: the quality of your list, your automations, your newsletters and the reputation of your sending domain. That last part has become more technical. Google asks senders who send more than 5,000 messages a day to Gmail accounts to authenticate their domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, to offer one-click unsubscribe and to keep their spam rate below 0.3%, according to its official sender guidelines. This ranking brings together ten independent consultants, checked one by one, and says for each which type of company they suit.

Email marketing consultant or agency: what changes for your campaigns?

An independent email marketing consultant personally runs the audit of your programme, the set-up of your automations, the review of your campaigns and the reading of your statistics. The person who advises you at the first meeting is the one who will open your Klaviyo, Brevo or Mailchimp account.

For a very small business, an SME or an e-commerce brand, this format has three advantages: your contact knows your list and your sales calendar in detail, fees are often lower than at an agency, and decisions are made quickly, with no approval chain. It also has two limits. One person cannot produce the strategy, the design, the HTML build and several campaigns a week in several languages all at once. And their holidays can delay a sales operation planned long in advance. Several consultants on this list solve this with a network of specialists, or by training your team to send on its own.

If you send several campaigns a week, if you need design, copywriting and the management of email, SMS and WhatsApp at the same time, or if your programme must run without depending on a single person, an agency is often a better fit. Our ranking of the 10 best email marketing and CRM agencies in France (2027) covers that case.

How did we rank these email marketing consultants?

Five criteria, in this order, applied only to what each consultant publishes on their own site. Every site on this list was reviewed on 16 and 17 October 2026, and this page is scheduled for review every 90 days.

1. Email marketing is the core business. Consultants who present email marketing as their specialty (strategy, deliverability, automations, newsletters) come before those who list it among social media, website creation or prospecting.

2. Proof you can check yourself. Named clients, signed testimonials, a book, roles in the industry's associations (EMDay, Signal Spam, Alliance Digitale, DMA France) or courses taught in schools count for more than a figure shown without a source. Partner statuses with a software vendor (Klaviyo, Brevo) are reported as the consultant declares them: you can check them in the vendor's directory.

3. An offer you can read before the first call. A published starting price, an hourly rate or a clear description of what the engagement includes and what it does not.

4. Fit with a type of company. We deliberately kept profiles that serve very different needs (large accounts, e-commerce on Klaviyo, fractional CRM, deliverability, B2B email marketing, entrepreneurs learning to send on their own, newsletters for B2B experts) and said which ones.

5. Real, independent activity. A live website, the person's name displayed, a business of one to three people that carries out the engagements itself. Businesses presenting a team of four or more people were left out, as were sites that do not name the consultant.

What we deliberately did not do: we did not repeat the open rates, revenue generated or numbers of brands supported published by the consultants, because there is no way to verify them from outside. Rankings of consultants published by a consultant on their own site did not count as proof. We did not audit any client sending account.

The 10 best email marketing consultants in France

1. Bruno Florence

Bruno Florence runs the Florence Consultant firm in Marseille, which he founded in 2000 to help companies improve the results of their email marketing. An engineer by training (ENSEA) and an ESSEC graduate, he chaired DMA France from 2018 to 2021, co-founded EMDay and has written the blog Pignon sur mail since 2006. He wrote « Le webmarketing » (Web marketing), published by Dunod in 2011, and since 2002 has published a comparative study of email marketing solutions, which now covers 111 software tools. His site publishes signed testimonials from clients such as Yves Rocher, Système U, Blancheporte, Banque Casino, Business France and Neolane (Adobe). His advice covers the database, deliverability, automated campaigns and the choice of a sending tool, always with an action plan that your teams then apply. He also runs in-house training and teaches at EFAP, Kedge and IAE Lille. He does not publish prices.

Best for: companies with a marketing department that want to overhaul their entire email programme, or choose a new sending tool with advice that is independent of the vendors. His method leaves the execution to your team: if you want to delegate campaign production, other profiles on this list handle it.

2. Hugo Nicole

Hugo Nicole is a CRM consultant and Klaviyo expert for fashion and beauty brands, under the brand The Emailist. Freelance since 2020, he previously spent eight years in luxury and beauty marketing, notably at LVMH and Coty, in France and then in New York. He offers Klaviyo account audits, the creation and redesign of flows (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, reactivation), segmentation, campaigns and a part-time CRM manager role, one or more days a week. His site displays the Klaviyo partner badge and nine signed testimonials, including from managers at Dermalogica, Respire, Merci Handy and Durance; he also mentions brands such as Mustela, Payot and Jacquemus. He publishes a price for coaching, €300 excl. VAT an hour, and prepares a quote for audits, flows and ongoing support. He also sells an online course, Klaviyo Master.

Best for: e-commerce brands in fashion, beauty and luxury that already use Klaviyo and want expert input without hiring a full-time CRM manager. If your brand sends with another tool, his published expertise is almost entirely about Klaviyo.

3. Antonio Martos

Antonio Martos founded Email Rocks! in 2024 as a sole trader in Mérignac, near Bordeaux, after more than sixteen years at Dolist, a French email marketing platform, which he joined in 2006 as an email marketing project manager before holding consultant and manager roles. He offers an audit of your programme, hands-on support (platform migration, list cleaning, automated scenarios, management of email and SMS campaigns, custom templates) and training in email marketing, deliverability, Brevo, Klaviyo and Mailchimp, with options for funding. His site states an Elite partner status with Brevo and Silver with Klaviyo, and names clients such as SuperSmart, Planète Croisière, Antilla Magazine, Visiplus Academy and Télé-Québec, with signed testimonials. He presents himself as the single point of contact, backed by a network of specialist experts. He does not publish prices.

Best for: B2C and B2B SMEs on Brevo or Klaviyo that are changing tools, want their sending audited or want their team trained on the tool they already use. His independence dates from 2024: ask on the first call which tasks he hands to his network.

4. David Nget

David Nget is a B2C CRM marketing consultant who presents himself as a “Fractional Head of CRM”: a senior CRM manager who joins your team a few days a month. He announces fifteen years of experience in CRM marketing and works through a single-member limited company, David CRM. His offer covers audits of the list and the campaigns, deliverability, automations, email, SMS, RCS and WhatsApp, loyalty programmes, the choice and migration of tools, and upskilling for in-house teams. He presents his projects on Klaviyo, Splio, Brevo and HubSpot. His site publishes signed testimonials, with a link to their authors' LinkedIn profiles, from managers at Bleuforêt, TENA D2C Shop, Legendary Plays, Nana D2C Shop and Eden Insight. He also hosts CRM Heroes, a podcast where he interviews CRM managers from brands such as Back Market, Boulanger, SNCF Connect, ManoMano and BlaBlaCar. He does not publish prices.

Best for: e-commerce and B2C brands that have a customer base to work on but no CRM manager yet, or whose team needs senior reinforcement during a project or an absence. His scope goes beyond email: if you are only looking for someone to produce your newsletters, a more hands-on profile on this list will be a better fit.

5. Charlotte Rozé

Charlotte Rozé is a freelance Klaviyo consultant in Paris, registered as a sole trader since 2024, and announces more than ten years of marketing experience. Specialised in Klaviyo since 2022 and an official partner of the vendor since 2024, she offers CRM audits, the creation of automated flows, monthly campaign management (email, SMS, WhatsApp, RCS) and coaching. She publishes three named case studies, N'GO, Paul & Joe and Elise Chalmin, and signed testimonials from managers at Wopilo, WeDressFair, Musardise, Six Sœurs and France Travail. She announces engagements from €2,000 excl. VAT, often one to two months for building the flows, and states that no project manager or junior stands between the client and her.

Best for: B2C e-commerce brands that want their Klaviyo flows built or taken over with a known starting budget. One of her testimonials comes from AVNIER, where she was an employed marketing manager: rely on the case studies first.

6. Laurent Garnier

Laurent Garnier founded IKUSITA in July 2024 in Anglet, in the French Basque Country, and announces more than twenty years of experience in email marketing. His field is deliverability: technical audits, SPF, DKIM, DMARC and BIMI configuration, sender reputation management, monitoring, crisis management when emails go to spam, and migration from one sending platform to another. He leads the Deliverability working group at Alliance Digitale, represents the association at Signal Spam and sits on the board of EMDay. He is a data protection officer certified by AFNOR, obtained a Proofpoint email authentication specialist certification in 2025 and teaches relationship marketing in a master's programme. He also offers training in deliverability and GDPR. The site presents itself as an agency, but he is the only person named. He names no clients and does not publish prices.

Best for: senders whose campaigns land in spam or in the Promotions tab, those changing sending platform and those that need to bring their domain and their list into compliance. With no client named on his site, ask for references on the first call.

7. Diane Revillard

Diane Revillard runs Di&mark in Paris, a limited company she co-founded in 2003, and her site Blue-emailing, devoted solely to email marketing. She has worked on email marketing since 2006 and presents herself as the only real person on the site's team. Since 2007 she has taught email marketing and conversion in the E-Commerce and Big Data MBA at ESG, and she wrote a Guide de survie de l'emailing (Email marketing survival guide). Her engagements cover deliverability (campaign monitoring, getting a domain or an IP address removed from blacklists), list hygiene and enrichment, segmentation, the choice of sending platform, the writing of prospecting and loyalty messages, and in-house training. She describes her method, ASTRE, and states that an audit takes one to two days on average. Her site shows client logos, without signed testimonials, and does not publish prices.

Best for: B2B companies, trade federations and industrial SMEs that send prospecting or loyalty emails and want to get past spam filters without switching tools blindly. For an e-commerce brand on Klaviyo, the specialist profiles on this list are a better fit.

8. Phyllis Gbango

Phyllis Gbango is an email marketing consultant and trainer in Créteil, under the PhyllisOriane brand, after more than ten years as head of digital communication in medium-sized and large companies. She publishes the guide « Email marketing de A à Z » (Email marketing from A to Z), hosts the podcast Mission Emailing and teaches email marketing for the training organisation ALFIE Formation. She offers two services: a three-month strategic coaching programme (audit, roadmap, three video sessions and follow-up between sessions), published at €1,200 incl. VAT and payable in two or three instalments, and the delegation of newsletters, campaigns and sequences. She writes down what the coaching does not include: writing the emails for you, a complete technical set-up and any guarantee of revenue. Her testimonials are published as images, with first names only.

Best for: entrepreneurs and small businesses that already have an offer and a list, and want to learn to run their email marketing themselves at a price known in advance. For a brand sending hundreds of thousands of emails a month, the profiles higher up this list are a better fit.

9. Marion Darras

Marion Darras is a copywriter specialising in newsletters and LinkedIn posts for B2B experts. She writes that for more than ten years she was the ghostwriter for senior executives, members of the government and experts. Her offer includes an editorial audit of your newsletters, posts or sales pages, the writing of newsletters and posts on your behalf, in your tone and with your ideas, and an editorial strategy. Her site publishes two case studies, one of them about the brand voice of the training organisation LMK Training, and a blog with a section devoted to newsletters and email marketing. She publishes neither prices nor written testimonials.

Best for: B2B consultants, executives and firms that want a regular newsletter, written in their name and read by their prospects. She works on the text: the choice of tool, the automations and deliverability need to go to another profile.

10. Steve Toitot

Steve Toitot has been a freelance copywriter and email marketing consultant since 2021, after more than ten years as a carpenter in France, Switzerland, Australia and New Zealand. For e-commerce brands using Klaviyo, he writes and sets up automated sequences (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase) and newsletters, and works on deliverability. He also offers sales funnels for coaches and info-product creators, lead generation on LinkedIn and a mentoring programme for copywriters. His site publishes signed testimonials, including one from the co-founder of Studio Cannelle and one from a key account manager who mentions fifteen marketing emails written for his clients. He does not publish prices.

Best for: online retailers and coaches who want sales emails written and installed by the same person. Email marketing is one of his three offers, alongside sales funnels and LinkedIn, which explains his place in this ranking.

What should you check before handing your email marketing to a consultant?

Five points to raise on the first call, whoever the consultant is.

  • What the audit contains. A good audit covers the contact list, the automations, the campaigns, deliverability and the reading of statistics, and ends with a list of actions ranked by priority. Ask for an anonymised example of a deliverable before you sign.
  • The access requested. Create a user account in the consultant's name in your sending tool, rather than sharing your login details. Keep ownership of the account, of the sending domain and of its DNS settings: if the engagement ends, everything must stay with you.
  • Your domain authentication. Ask them to check in the first week that SPF, DKIM and DMARC are in place and that unsubscribing takes one click, as required by Google's sender guidelines. A consultant who does not mention these settings leaves a risk unaddressed.
  • Promises of results. No one can guarantee that an email will reach the inbox, or promise a given open rate, especially since some mailbox providers load images automatically and distort that rate. Ask instead which indicators they will track (clicks, attributed sales, unsubscribes, complaints) and how often they will report to you.
  • Your contacts' consent. The CNIL, the French data protection authority, points out that email prospecting aimed at individuals requires their prior consent, except for existing customers and similar products, according to its page on commercial prospecting by email (in French). Ask the consultant how they handle contacts whose origin is unknown.

Where does this ranking stop?

Three limits, stated clearly.

It is based on public information. We read what each consultant publishes and checked that each site was live on 17 October 2026. We did not audit any client account or confirm any result. Many email marketing consultants only have a profile on a freelance platform, several sites do not name the person who carries out the engagements, and several Klaviyo specialist businesses have four or more people: none of these cases is included here. A consultant who communicates little and delivers very well will therefore be underrated. If your needs go beyond what one person can handle, the agency ranking mentioned above takes over.

It does not know your programme. The right consultant for a retailer sending millions of emails a month is rarely the right one for a creator launching her first newsletter. The Best for lines matter more than the rank number.

It ages. Mailbox providers' rules, consultants' prices and their availability change quickly. Check on the consultant's site before you sign.

What can an email marketing consultant do that software cannot?

A consultant makes judgement calls: which contacts to stop emailing, how often to send, which automation to build first, when to change tools, how to restore the reputation of a domain flagged as spam. These decisions require knowing your customers and your sales calendar. Your sending tool carries out these choices, but neither of the two grows your list with new subscribers who discovered you on their own.

That is one of the roles of Sorank: every week the platform publishes articles optimised for Google and for AI assistants, and shows you when an AI assistant cites your brand. Many companies combine the two: the consultant to get the most out of every email sent, the software to attract the visitors who will become subscribers.

Conclusion

The best email marketing consultant is the one who already knows your sending tool and your type of customer. To overhaul a whole email programme with the longest track record and the most verifiable references, Bruno Florence. For a fashion or beauty brand on Klaviyo, Hugo Nicole. For an SME on Brevo or Klaviyo that wants an audit, a migration or training, Antonio Martos. For a senior CRM manager a few days a month, David Nget. For Klaviyo flows with a published starting budget, Charlotte Rozé. For emails that land in spam, Laurent Garnier, or Diane Revillard if you mainly send B2B. And so that new visitors find you on Google or in AI assistants' answers, then sign up for your emails, Sorank publishes the content that brings them in.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a freelance email marketing consultant cost in France?

Among the consultants in this ranking who publish a price, Klaviyo coaching is billed at €300 excl. VAT an hour, an engagement to build flows starts at €2,000 excl. VAT, and three months of strategic coaching for an entrepreneur costs €1,200 incl. VAT. The other consultants work on quotation, depending on the size of your list and the scope of the engagement. The subscription to the sending tool is never included.

Should you choose an email marketing consultant or an agency?

A consultant suits you when you want a single point of contact who audits your programme, builds your automations and trains your team personally. An agency becomes a better fit when you send several campaigns a week, in several languages, with design, HTML build and other channels such as SMS, and the programme must not depend on a single person.

How do you check that an email marketing consultant is reliable?

Ask for named clients or an anonymised audit example, and check their partner status in the directory of your sending tool's vendor. Be wary of any guarantee of open rates or inbox placement. Create a user account in their name rather than sharing your login details, and keep ownership of your sending domain.
