In short

Romain Rougier is the strongest profile among the best cold email consultants in France for a B2B start-up or SME that wants email and LinkedIn prospecting it will eventually run on its own: he works alone, delegates nothing, announces eight years of experience and publishes thirteen named testimonials, including those of the co-founders of Smappen and Zylio. Alexandre Brengues is a better fit for a SaaS company that already has SDRs and needs to improve its messages, Rudy Viard for a firm or an expert that wants a system installed in-house at a published price, and Martin Girard for a very small business looking for the smallest monthly budget on this list. Elliot Tram targets scale-ups that want prospecting based on buying signals, and Jean Lochet independents looking for a small monthly package with the technical side taken care of. The ten names were selected after reading their sites; agencies and profiles without a personal site were left out.

Want to go further? Ask

Hiring one of the best cold email consultants in France means putting your email prospecting in the hands of a single person: the one who chooses the accounts to contact, writes the sequences, sets up the sending inboxes and reads the replies. The legal framework is well established. In B2B, the CNIL, the French data protection authority, allows sending without prior consent if the message relates to the recipient's profession, provided they can object by an easy means and the sender can be identified, according to the CNIL's page on email prospecting (in French). We selected ten independents after opening each one's site, and for each name we state which companies they suit best.

Cold email consultant or agency: what changes for your prospecting?

An independent cold email consultant personally does what an agency spreads across several roles: targeting, writing, sending infrastructure and reply follow-up. You therefore speak directly with the person who writes your messages and follows, week after week, the replies you receive.

Working with an independent brings three benefits. Contact is direct, the messages sound more like the way you sell, and several consultants on this list install the system in your own tools so that you own it at the end of the engagement. It also has two limits: one person can only manage a limited number of sending domains and campaigns (Rudy Viard, for example, accepts only two new installations a month), and qualifying replies by phone or booking meetings at scale often requires a team.

If you want to delegate the whole chain, with sales reps who call prospects back and high sending volumes across several markets, an agency is often a better fit. Our ranking of the 10 best cold email agencies in France (2027) covers that case.

How did we rank these cold email consultants?

We applied five criteria, in order of importance, to what each consultant publishes on their site and to a few external sources. All sites were reviewed on 16 and 17 October 2026; we will review this ranking no later than 90 days after that date.

1. Cold email is the core business or a central part of the offer. Consultants who make email prospecting their specialty come before those who list it alongside advertising, CRM or SEO.

2. Proof you can check yourself. Named clients, testimonials signed with a name and a company, reviews on a third-party platform such as Malt, a listing in the expert directory of lemlist (the publisher of the sending software) or coverage in an industry publication count for more than a reply rate shown without a source.

3. An offer you can read before the first call. A published price, a monthly package or a precise description of what the engagement includes: targeting, writing, sending domains, training.

4. Fit with a type of company. We kept profiles that serve different needs (SaaS with a sales team, consulting firms, very small businesses, scale-ups) and said which ones.

5. Real, independent activity. A live site, the person's name displayed, readable legal notices, engagements carried out by the consultant personally. Agencies, including small firms that rely on a team of sales reps or operators, were left out of this ranking.

What we left out: we did not repeat the open rates, reply rates, meetings booked or revenue generated that consultants publish, because there is no way to verify them from outside. Rankings published by a consultant on their own site did not count as proof. We did not send any campaign and did not contact any client.

The 10 best cold email consultants in France

1. Romain Rougier

Romain Rougier is an independent B2B outbound consultant, registered as a sole trader in the Hautes-Pyrénées under the outbound shake brand. He announces eight years of experience and writes that he works alone, delegating nothing. He combines cold email, LinkedIn and the phone, and presents himself as a certified lemlist partner, having used the tool since 2021; he is listed in the publisher's expert directory. He offers two formats: support towards autonomy (setting up the system, training, building the lists, writing and launching a first campaign, then follow-up by video call) and a fully managed service in which he designs and runs the campaigns. His site displays clients such as Smappen, Monkilowatt, Zylio, Dixxit and the Nubbo incubator, and thirteen named testimonials, including those of Laurent Leclerc, co-founder of Smappen, and Bertrand Dumast, co-founder of Zylio. He does not publish prices: the 45-minute strategy call is free.

Best for: B2B start-ups and SMEs that want to learn to run their prospecting themselves, with support that ends when the team is autonomous. Because he works alone, ask on the first call how many clients he follows in parallel.

2. Alexandre Brengues

Alexandre Brengues, who signs as Wild Marketer, is a copywriter for B2B SaaS companies, specialising in cold emails and landing pages. He announces more than ten years on the web, including more than five supporting SaaS companies, and works only with software publishers that have found their market or completed a first funding round. His sales copywriting offer, aimed at SDR and BDR teams, includes writing tailored cadences and training the teams, for €1,500 a month; writing a landing page starts at €4,000. He displays clients such as Spendesk, Weglot, Captain Data, Plezi, HelloWork and Lockself, and publishes named testimonials, including those of Margaux Hervé, BDR team leader at Spendesk, and Eugene Ernoult, CMO of Weglot. He hosts the Wild Marketer podcast, which the Outbound House newsletter presented in 2023 as one of the most actionable French marketing podcasts.

Best for: B2B SaaS companies that already have SDRs or BDRs and want messages that get more replies. His site describes writing and training, not the technical setup of sending inboxes: plan for someone to handle deliverability.

3. Rudy Viard

Rudy Viard is a customer acquisition consultant, registered as a sole trader, and has run the Webmarketing Conseil publication since 2009; he announces fifteen years in the trade, after roles in start-ups (ScreenToaster, Xooloo) and in an agency (IPG Mediabrands). His cold email offer is one of the clearest on this list: in one month he installs an email prospecting system at the client's company, which keeps ownership of it, for €1,990 excl. VAT paid once, plus technical costs paid directly to the providers (€80 for domains, €300 to collect and clean 10,000 contacts, €300 for 300,000 sends). The engagement includes targeting, sending infrastructure on dedicated domains, writing the messages, launching one or two campaigns and two two-hour training sessions. He carries out each installation himself and accepts only two new ones a month. His page quotes named testimonials, such as those of Michel Lemieux (accounting firm Théorème) and Ronan Colas (Synosis Conseil), and about twenty clients, including Costbusters and Bordeaux Ynov Campus.

Best for: consulting firms, experts and B2B service companies whose average deal exceeds €2,000, his own entry criterion, and that want to own their system rather than pay a provider every month. After the handover, running the campaigns is up to you.

4. Vanessa Digonal

Vanessa Digonal is a freelance Head of Growth and RevOps, registered as a sole trader in the Loire under the Lægger brand. She announces sixteen years of entrepreneurial experience, including seven as Head of Growth, and names B2B tech clients: Qonto, Mooncard, Wattsense, Citalid, Danapay and Astran.ai. She publishes her prices: a B2B outbound playbook (audit and strategy) from €2,400, managed outbound prospecting from €1,800 a month, and a part-time Head of Growth engagement at €600 a day, two to three days a week. She also trains people in outbound and growth, in person or by video call, and is listed in lemlist's expert directory. Her site does not publish any named testimonial.

Best for: SaaS and fintech start-ups that want to connect cold prospecting to the CRM and to the other acquisition channels, with someone able to act as Head of Growth a few days a week. If you are only looking for someone to write sequences, a more specialised profile will do.

5. Théo Géniesse

Théo Géniesse spent two years as Head of Business at Pappers before creating Keren, a B2B acquisition studio he runs alone; his site states that he follows few clients in parallel. He builds cold prospecting systems in the client's tools, adding Meta ads and a CRM with lead scoring if needed. He publishes an entry point: a diagnosis with a 90-day roadmap at €1,750 excl. VAT, deductible from the engagement that follows, and engagements from €1,950 excl. VAT a month. He names clients such as GoodCollect, Wisetax, Infogreffe, Qlower and Intrapole, and publishes named testimonials, including those of Gad Aiach (Mozar.io) and David Cousquer (Trendeo). He presents himself as a certified lemlist partner and is listed in its expert directory. His company, Keren Advisory LTD, is registered in London, but his site addresses B2B SMEs in French.

Best for: B2B SMEs of 10 to 100 people that want cold prospecting connected to their CRM, and possibly advertising, with a single point of contact. Cold email is one part of his offer among others: on the first call, ask what share of the engagement will be devoted to it.

6. Elliot Tram

Elliot Tram is a freelance GTM engineer based in Lille who presents himself as a B2B outbound specialist. He announces more than ten years in B2B growth, including two and a half years as Head of Growth at Explain, where he writes that he built the prospecting machine that fed eight to ten sales reps; his site publishes the case study. His outbound offer covers targeting (ideal customer profile and account list), data enrichment with Clay, Dropcontact and Apollo, deliverability (secondary domains, warm-up, SPF, DKIM and DMARC), cold email sequences triggered by buying signals and coordinated with LinkedIn and the phone, then weekly reporting. He builds the system in the client's tools (Lemlist, Smartlead, Instantly, HubSpot or Pipedrive), documents it and trains the team, on engagements of three to six months, never less than eight weeks. His page prices his freelance format at €5,000 to €6,000 a month. He displays logos such as Believe, Groupe Média TFO and Flowmakers, without detailing the engagements, and does not publish any named testimonial. He also offers Google and Meta advertising.

Best for: B2B start-ups and scale-ups that have a sales team and want cold prospecting based on buying signals, built in their own tools and then handed over after a few months. It is the highest published monthly package on this list: it makes most sense in a market large enough to feed several sales reps.

7. Martin Girard

Martin Girard is a GTM engineer in the Paris region and launched an automated prospecting service in April 2026, after being growth marketing manager and then Head of Growth at Artrade from 2023 to 2025. He designs and operates each system himself and remains the client's single point of contact. He publishes three monthly packages, with no commitment: €390 excl. VAT for one prospecting angle, two sending inboxes and 400 prospects, €990 excl. VAT for two angles and 1,200 prospects, €1,790 excl. VAT for three angles and 2,500 prospects, each with email and LinkedIn sequences and follow-ups. His site shows a Malt rating of 5 out of 5 across 19 projects and clients such as Business School Acquisition, Truckrs and Miria.ai; he states that he led a masterclass for about a hundred business leaders from the Business School Acquisition network.

Best for: very small businesses and small SMEs that want to test email prospecting with a known monthly budget and no commitment. His prospecting offer is recent: ask for examples of campaigns run in recent months before you sign.

8. Mathieu Lambert

Mathieu Lambert is an independent consultant registered as a sole trader, working in growth ops, outbound and GTM engineering for start-ups, scale-ups and B2B SMEs. His most prominent offer covers B2B outbound: segments, messages, sequences and deliverability, complemented by automation, CRM synchronisation and dashboards. He announces a first complete system in two to six weeks, followed by monthly iterations. His site displays client logos such as Yousign, Trustpair, Agicap, FoodChéri and LittleBig Connection, without detailing the engagements. He publishes neither prices nor testimonials.

Best for: scale-ups that have a sales team and want cold prospecting properly connected to the CRM and to their data. Since his references are published as logos, ask on the first call what he delivered for one of them.

9. Valentin De Sousa

Valentin De Sousa is a GTM engineering trainer and practitioner in Lyon, specialising in prospecting triggered by buying signals, with tools such as Clay, lemlist, Smartlead and Pharow. His site gtm-engineer.fr documents the method for free and sells a training course, Le GTM OS, at €990: videos, ready-to-copy templates, an architecture guide, updates and a final review of the participant's system by the trainer. He states that he has built more than twenty systems for companies. For those that do not want to build it themselves, his site points to Gowithia, the GTM engineering agency he founded. He names no clients and no testimonials.

Best for: companies that have an in-house growth or sales ops profile ready to build their own prospecting machine, and that prefer a fixed-price training course to a long engagement. No client references are published: that is the first point to clarify.

10. Jean Lochet

Jean Lochet is an independent copywriter in Lyon, working under the CO314 brand through his company registered in Lyon. He has worked in direct and digital marketing for the trade press and for B2B training. Among his four offers (sales pages, welcome sequences, content strategy and SEO), one is devoted to lead generation through cold email, for independents and small service and B2B SaaS companies. There he describes his method: defining ideal customers, creating a dedicated domain and addresses, setting up SPF, DKIM and DMARC, warm-up over 15 to 20 days, data cleaning, then campaigns in waves where the best message is tested against a new hypothesis, with a review every month. He publishes his prices: from €850 excl. VAT a month for lead generation, and €75 excl. VAT per message for writing only. His site names clients such as Sogetrel, Corefor and LittleBox Films and publishes named testimonials, such as those of Elodie Bertini (Sogetrel) and Vanina Besse (Corefor), but they concern website copywriting and SEO, not prospecting.

Best for: consultants, independents and small service companies that want regular email prospecting, at small volumes and with a known budget, without handling the technical side. Cold email is one offer among four and no published testimonial concerns it: ask for an example of a campaign he has run before you sign.

What should you check before handing your prospecting to a cold email consultant?

Before you sign, go over these four topics with the consultant you choose.

  • Sending domains. Campaigns should go out from dedicated domains, separate from the one that carries your usual emails, so that a deliverability incident does not affect your exchanges with your clients. Ask who buys these domains and in whose name they are registered.
  • Mailbox providers' rules. Google requires every sender to set up SPF or DKIM and to keep a spam rate below 0.3%, and additionally requires DMARC and one-click unsubscribe for marketing messages above 5,000 sends a day to Gmail, according to its sender guidelines. Ask how the consultant measures these indicators and how often they report them to you.
  • Respecting the right to object. Each message must identify your company and make it easy to refuse future sends, and the topic must relate to the recipient's profession, as the CNIL points out. Ask how unsubscribes are recorded and kept.
  • Ownership of the system. Check who owns the tool accounts, the prospect lists and the sequences at the end of the engagement. Several consultants on this list install them in your accounts; others operate them from their own.

Where does this ranking stop?

This work has boundaries, and you should know them before using it.

It leaves out agencies. We left out firms that present themselves as agencies or rely on a team of sales reps, sites that do not display the person's full name, and those that were not accessible on 17 October 2026. For several names on this list (Vanessa Digonal, Théo Géniesse, Elliot Tram, Jean Lochet), cold email is one part of the offer among others: their entry says so. If you are looking for a team, our ranking of the best cold email agencies in France takes over.

It is based on public information. We read what each consultant publishes and checked that each site was live. We did not test any campaign or confirm any result. An independent who says little on their site, even an excellent one, therefore ranks lower than they deserve.

It does not know your market. The right consultant for a SaaS company equipping a team of ten SDRs is rarely the right one for an accounting firm looking for five new clients a quarter. Rely more on the Best for lines than on the rank, and keep in mind that prices change often: check them on the consultant's site before you sign.

What can a cold email consultant do that software cannot?

A consultant makes judgement calls: which segment to contact first, which argument to put in the first message, when to stop a sequence that gets no replies. These choices require knowing your offer and your clients. Part of the work happens after sending: a prospect who receives your email often searches for your name on Google or asks an AI assistant before replying, and what they find there weighs on their decision.

That is what Sorank takes care of: after an audit of your site, the platform finds your keywords, writes and publishes articles optimised for Google and for AI assistants, and shows you when an AI assistant cites your brand. The two complement each other: the consultant for prospecting and its judgement calls, the software so that your brand is found when the prospect checks who is writing to them.

Conclusion

Choose the cold email consultant whose clients already resemble your company. For a start-up or SME that wants to learn to prospect on its own, Romain Rougier publishes the most numerous and verifiable references. For a SaaS company with an SDR team, Alexandre Brengues. For a firm that wants to own its system at a known price, Rudy Viard. For a scale-up that wants signal-based prospecting built in its own tools, Elliot Tram. For a very small business that wants to test with a small monthly budget, Martin Girard, and for an independent who wants to delegate the technical side and the writing, Jean Lochet. And to make sure your brand is well presented on Google and in AI assistants when your prospects look it up, discover Sorank.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a cold email consultant cost in France?

The monthly packages published by the consultants in this ranking range from €390 excl. VAT to €6,000 a month, depending on the volume of prospects and the scope of the engagement; one of them charges €75 excl. VAT for writing a single message. A published turnkey installation costs €1,990 excl. VAT once, excluding domains, data and sends, and an audit or a playbook costs between €1,750 excl. VAT and €2,400. Sending tools and dedicated domains are often added to the consultant's price.

Should you choose a cold email consultant or an agency?

A consultant suits you when you want a single point of contact who writes your messages, understands your offer and can install the system in your company so that your team takes it over. An agency becomes a better fit when you need large volumes, several languages or sales reps who call prospects back and book meetings on your behalf.

Is cold email legal in B2B in France?

Yes, under conditions. The CNIL allows email prospecting to professionals without prior consent if the message relates to their profession, if the sender is identifiable and if each message offers an easy way to refuse future sends. Generic company addresses such as contact@ are not subject to these rules. Ask your consultant how they record unsubscribes.
