In short
Blissprojects tops our ranking of the best advertising agencies in Athens. It is an independent creative agency with an office in Voula, which says it has won more than 50 international awards and covers branding, strategy and digital marketing. COMMA is the choice for fashion, retail and footwear brands that want strategy, design and e-commerce handled by one team, and Exad suits brands that want full-service creative work. Choose fits organisations that need communication, advisory and technology together, MullenLowe Athens shows its work for Optima ADORO and Deree on its own site, and Cream suits brands that want an independent creative team. AGMA Digital and AdGurus are the performance specialists on the list, Create It covers strategy, content and PR, and Digital Sapiens fits brands that want social media, paid media and content managed together. The deciding question is not which agency claims the most awards, but which one can show on its own site both an Athens base and the advertising work it does.

Choosing among the best advertising agencies in Athens means choosing a partner for a market whose customers buy in Greek, react to local references, and where digital advertising alone totals hundreds of millions of euros a year. According to the IAB Europe 2024 AdEx Benchmark, published on the IAB Greece Knowledge Hub on 26 May 2025, Greece recorded a total digital ad market of 364 million euros in 2024, placing it 21st of the 30 countries measured. The question for a buyer is not whether an agency has an Athens address, but whether the people behind it work in the channels and the language its customers use.
Greece is a market of its own. Greek consumers read, watch and shop in Greek, and the cultural references that make an advert land are local. An agency with an Athens office can test a concept with local people, answer in the client's time zone and language, and follow the events and media its clients care about. That is why the second criterion of this ranking asks for an Athens tie that the agency shows on its own site.
The local channel mix is also crowded. According to ELSTAT, the Hellenic Statistical Authority, 59.8% of businesses with internet access use at least one social media platform, a figure reported by To Vima in December 2023. It is a national figure, not an Athens one, and it is the most recent ELSTAT figure on this point that we could check. It still shows that a brand fighting for attention on social media is competing with many Greek businesses doing the same.
Four fears matter most to a buyer in Athens, and none of them is settled by an award displayed on a homepage.
1. An Athens address that does the work somewhere else. A local office can be a meeting room while production, media buying and reporting happen elsewhere. Ask who in Athens owns your account day to day, and who you will speak to when something goes wrong.
2. Creative that travels badly. A campaign built from a global deck can miss Greek humour, Greek wording and the media habits of Greek buyers. Ask who writes the Greek copy and who checks it before it goes live.
3. Reach that never becomes sales. Impressions and engagement are easy to show and hard to link to revenue. Agree before the first campaign on a figure you already track, such as orders, bookings or sign-ups, and record its starting level.
4. Losing the accounts when the contract ends. If the agency opens the ad accounts, tracking tags and audience lists in its own name, leaving can mean rebuilding everything from zero. Ask who owns them before you sign.
Four criteria, fixed before we checked which agencies would meet them, and applied only to what each agency publishes on its own website. The homepages on this list were reread in November 2026, and each claim below is reported as the agency's own statement.
1. Advertising at the core. Campaigns, creative and paid media come before website building. A site build alone does not make an advertising agency.
2. An Athens tie shown on the site. An address, an office, a team, or a presentation as an Athens agency. An agency without a visible Athens base was not included, even if it is well known elsewhere in Greece.
3. Proof published on the site. Named clients, campaigns, awards or prizes, as the agency presents them.
4. A readable offer. Services listed on the homepage and an approach that is described rather than only promised.
What we deliberately did not do: we did not verify any award, client result or revenue figure, and we did not treat words such as "leader" or "number one" as facts. They appear here only as the agency's own claims, and where a site says nothing on a point, the table says so.

Blissprojects is an independent creative agency founded in 2006, with an address in Voula on the southern side of Athens. Its homepage lists branding, strategy, packaging, web design, digital marketing and new media, says it has won more than 50 international awards, and claims the title of design agency of the year 2025. Its service list leans toward brand identity and design, with digital marketing as one line among several.
Best for: brands that want a creative identity first and digital marketing alongside it. Its design heritage is its strength. A buyer who wants only paid media management should ask how much of the team works on campaigns.

COMMA calls itself a 360° full-service advertising agency in Athens that loves digital commerce. It mixes strategy, design, digital marketing, branding and e-commerce technology, and says its focus is fashion, retail and footwear. Its homepage features a case with Tsakiris Mallas and a double distinction in the Marketing Achievement Awards 2026.
Best for: fashion, retail and footwear brands that sell online and want strategy, design and performance under one roof. The sector focus is an advantage for those brands and a reason for others to look elsewhere.

Exad Creative Agency describes itself as an Athens-based, full-service creative agency that brings together strategy, creative, design and experience work. It says it combines thirty years of design expertise with global talent, and its homepage names clients including PepsiCo, Procter and Gamble, Diageo, Wella and AB Vassilopoulos.
Best for: brands that want a complete creative service, from brand strategy to campaigns and experiential work, and that accept a larger agency's process. Its homepage says more about creative work than about paid media, so ask for media results directly.

Choose describes itself as a 360° strategic communications, advertising, advisory and technology partner in Athens, delivering results since 2003. Its homepage lists work for several Greek ministries, including the Ministry of Environment and Energy and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, as well as a "Behind the Lights" campaign for Natural Gas Hellenic Energy Company.
Best for: organisations that need communication, advice and technology handled as one partnership, including public-sector and institutional work. The breadth is an advantage for that brief, and a loose fit for a brand that wants a pure advertising shop.

MullenLowe Athens presents itself under its own Athens name. Its homepage highlights work for Optima ADORO Cream Cheese and for Deree, The American University of Greece, a win for "Ode to Creativity" at the Epica Awards 2022, and three awards at the Packaging Awards 2021.
Best for: brands that want a local creative team, with Greek work published on the site. The homepage gives little detail on its paid media service, so ask about it in the first call.

Cream calls itself an independent, creatively led agency from Athens. Its homepage lists work for the National Bank of Greece, Volkswagen, Milko, Mastiqua and Goody's Burger House, and says that its joint work with Rascal ranked third in the 2018 Ermis Awards. Its address is in Kifisia, a northern suburb of Athens.
Best for: brands that want an independent creative team with a visible campaign portfolio. Kifisia is in the Athens area, but check which team will actually work on your account.
AGMA Digital is a performance marketing agency headquartered in Athens. It presents itself as a Google Partner and Meta Business Partner, focused on Google Ads, Meta Ads and analytics, mainly for e-commerce brands. Its homepage lists recognition including the Search and Discovery Awards 2026, the INDIE Awards 2026, Marketing Week 2025 and the Peak Awards 2024, and names clients such as Lavagals, NOMA, Constantia and Pappas Elevators.
Best for: e-commerce and retail brands that want paid search and paid social run by a performance team with a clear data focus. Its scope is narrower than a full-service agency, so it fits a performance brief better than a brand-building one.

AdGurus presents itself as a performance marketing agency based in Athens, for businesses where every lead, booking or customer matters. Its services are performance strategy, Google Ads and paid social, and analytics, tracking and reporting. Its homepage names three case studies, Athenian Yachts, Juliette Armand and IQ Skin, and offers a performance growth audit as the first step.
Best for: service and high-value businesses that want performance marketing run as one system, with tracking and reporting built in. The method is clearly described, but the homepage says less about pricing and team size, so ask for both.

Create It describes itself as a digital marketing and PR agency in Athens that brings strategy, content and performance marketing together. Its homepage lists three groups of services: performance (Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, SEO and analytics), brand and content (social media, content production, branding, influencers), and digital and experiences (websites, e-commerce, events and activations). It shows selected client work, but the text we read does not name the clients.
Best for: brands that want performance, content and events from one agency, with PR attached. The breadth helps with a mixed brief. A buyer with one specific channel need should ask who leads that channel.

Digital Sapiens describes itself as a digital marketing agency in Athens, specialised in performance marketing, digital communication and brand growth. Its services are social media management and paid media, digital strategy and performance marketing, content strategy and creative production, and SEO. Its homepage lists client sectors including food, drinks, jewellery, interior design, technology, sport, medical services, event management and hospitality.
Best for: food, drink, hospitality and retail brands that want social content and paid media managed together. The sector list is broad, so ask for the Athens team's experience in your category.
The criteria below were chosen before checking who meets them. Each cell reflects what the agency publishes on its own site, as we read it. Where the text we read says nothing, the cell says so.
| Agency | Athens tie on the site | Services put forward | Named clients or awards | Contact entry point |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Blissprojects | Office in Voula, Athens | Branding, strategy, packaging, web design, digital marketing | More than 50 international awards claimed | Contact page |
| COMMA | Agency in Athens (homepage) | Strategy, design, digital marketing, branding, e-commerce | Tsakiris Mallas; Marketing Achievement Awards 2026 | "Start your project" form |
| Exad Creative Agency | Athens-based (homepage) | Strategy, creative, design, experiences | PepsiCo, Procter and Gamble, Diageo, Wella | "Say hello?" contact |
| Choose | Athens (meta description) | Communications, advertising, advisory, technology | Greek ministries; Natural Gas Hellenic Energy Company | Not in the text we read |
| MullenLowe Athens | Athens office (site name) | Creative campaigns published on the site | Epica Awards 2022; Optima ADORO; Deree | Contact and new business menu |
| Cream | Office in Kifisia, Athens area | Brand and campaign creative | National Bank of Greece, Volkswagen, Milko | New business email |
| AGMA Digital | Headquartered in Athens | Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, analytics | Lavagals, NOMA, Constantia; Peak Awards 2024 | Free audit |
| AdGurus | Based in Athens (homepage) | Performance strategy, Google Ads, paid social, analytics | Athenian Yachts, Juliette Armand, IQ Skin | Performance growth audit |
| Create It | Athens (page title) | Performance, brand and content, digital and experiences, PR | Selected client work, names not in the text we read | "Start a conversation" |
| Digital Sapiens | Athens (meta description) | Social media and paid media, strategy, content, SEO | Client sectors, no named clients in the text we read | Not in the text we read |
Read the "not in the text we read" cells as a gap in the public text, not a gap in competence. Several of these agencies almost certainly serve more clients than their homepage shows, and the honest way to find out is to ask.
Three questions separate a shortlist faster than a showreel, and each one answers one of the fears above.
1. Who will run your account, and where do they work? Ask for the names of the people who will plan and report, and whether they are based in Athens. A local office with a remote team is a different offer from a local team.
2. Who writes and checks the Greek copy? Ask for an example of Greek-language work and for the name of the person who approves it before it goes live.
3. Who owns the ad accounts and the data? Ask whether accounts, tracking and audience lists are created in your name, and what happens to them when the contract ends.
Three limits, stated clearly, because a ranking that claims to settle everything is not useful.
It is built only on public information. We read what each agency publishes on its homepage. We did not audit a campaign, interview a client or verify an award. An agency that publishes little and works well will be underrated here.
It cannot know your brief. The right agency for a fashion brand selling online is rarely the right one for a public body or an industrial client. The "Best for" lines matter more than the order.
It ages. Agencies in Athens merge, open and close offices, and rewrite their homepages. The reread date is stated in the method, so check how old the information is before you act on it.
This is the honest part, on a page published by a software company. An agency beats software on the work that needs judgement about people: reading a market, choosing the moment to launch, writing copy that a Greek reader believes, and making a hard call when a campaign goes wrong. Software does not do those things well yet, and any vendor who claims otherwise is selling you something. For a broader view of when hiring an agency makes more sense than running work in house, see our agency guide.
What no ad campaign solves alone is the rest of the web. AI assistants and search engines draw on articles, guides and comparison pages as well as on ads and social posts, so a brand with well-made campaigns and thin pages on its own site leaves its answer to someone else.
That is what Sorank works on. It is software, not an agency: keyword research, article writing, internal linking, publishing to your site, and tracking how often your brand appears in the answers AI assistants give. Pricing starts at 99€ per month, with 3 days offered and a card required at sign up. If you would rather talk it through first, book a call.
If you want a single recommendation: Blissprojects if you want a creative identity from an Athens agency that says it has been independent since 2006, COMMA if you sell fashion, retail or footwear online, AGMA Digital or AdGurus if your priority is measurable paid acquisition, and Exad or Choose for full-service creative or institutional work.
And ask who will do the work before you ask what the agency promises. A good agency can name its people, show Greek work and explain who owns the accounts. To place advertising among the other channels that feed your pipeline, see the 50 best customer acquisition channels in 2026.
Five more digital agencies publish an Athens presence and a digital offer. They score lower than the ten above on the advertising criteria, mostly because their homepages focus on websites and e-shops.
| Agency | Site | What they publish about themselves |
|---|---|---|
| DigitalUp | digitalup.gr | Google Partner agency in Athens for e-shops, digital marketing, SEO and AI marketing, naming Body Shop, DHL and TotalEnergies as clients |
| Digital4u | digital4u.gr | Digital marketing agency in Athens and Thessaloniki, with design and development, SEO, and more than 160 active digital marketing accounts |
| Dezitech | dezitech.com | Web and media agency in Athens and Thessaloniki, building websites and e-shops, with SEO, social media promotion and Google Ads |
| ACM Digital | acmdigital.gr | Website and e-shop builder with digital marketing solutions in Athens and Thessaloniki, including SEO and online monitoring |
| Cope Digital Agency | cope.gr | Digital agency in Athens for web design, e-shops, digital marketing, SEO, social media marketing and Google Ads |
This ranking reflects my own experience and opinion as an SEO expert with more than 7 years in the field. It is based on verified facts, but the order itself is my personal view.
Ask for the names of the people who will plan and report, and whether they are based in Athens or remote.
Ask for an example of Greek-language work and for the name of the person who approves it before it goes live.
Ask whether accounts, tracking and audience lists are created in your name, and what happens to them when the contract ends.
