The 10 best social media consultants and freelance community managers in France in 2027, checked one by one: published prices, proof, method and limits.

In short
Isabelle Mathieu is the strongest profile among the best social media consultants in France for a brand or an institution that wants a strategy and trained teams: she has advised on social media since 2010, names clients such as the Ritz Paris, Moët & Chandon, Orange and Pierre Fabre, and has spoken at Hootsuite's conferences for seven editions. Julie Olivier is a better fit for an SME that wants to hand over the management of its accounts at a price known in advance, Émilie Marquois for a B2B organisation looking for a consultant who has worked on the subject since 2007, and Alexandre Poirier for a company that wants both to delegate and to have its team's training funded. The right choice depends first on what you want to delegate: the strategy, the day-to-day publishing or upskilling your teams.

Choosing among the best social media consultants in France means handing your Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook or TikTok accounts to a single person rather than to an agency team. The person who sells you the engagement is also the one who writes your posts, replies to your followers and presents the figures to you every month. The job covers very different profiles: the freelance community manager who publishes for you every week, the consultant who builds the strategy and trains your teams, and the trainer who makes you self-sufficient. This ranking brings together ten independents, checked one by one, and says for each which type of business they suit.
A freelance community manager is both your point of contact and the person who does the work. The brief, the editorial line, the visuals, comment moderation and the monthly report all go through the same person, with no project manager between you and your community.
This format has three advantages for a very small business, an SME or a non-profit: the person knows your tone and your customers, fees are often lower than at an agency because there is no structure to fund, and communication is quick on the day a negative comment appears. It also has two limits: one person cannot shoot videos, run paid campaigns and manage five accounts every day all at once, and their holidays leave your accounts silent if nothing is scheduled. Several independents on this list solve this with a network of freelancers (photographer, video editor, copywriter) or by training your team to take over.
If you manage several brands or several countries, if you need regular shoots, influencer campaigns and advertising at the same time, or a presence in the evenings and at weekends, an agency team is often a better fit. Our ranking of the 10 best social media agencies in France (2027) covers that case.
Five criteria, in this order, applied only to what each consultant publishes on their own site. Every site on this list was reviewed on 17 October 2026, and this page is scheduled for review every 90 days.
1. Social media is the core business. Independents who present social media and community management as their specialty come before those who list them among website creation, SEO and graphic design.
2. Proof you can check yourself. Named clients, signed testimonials, a published book, certified training courses or talks at industry events count for more than a follower increase shown without a source.
3. An offer you can read before the first call. A published starting price, detailed packages (number of posts, networks covered, monthly report) or a clear explanation of what the engagement includes.
4. Fit with a type of client. We deliberately kept profiles that serve different needs (large accounts, regional SMEs, start-ups, cosmetics brands, B2B executives, small shops) and said which ones.
5. Real, independent activity. A live, up-to-date website, the person's name displayed, engagements carried out by that person. An agency that relies on a salaried team was left out of this ranking, as were sites that have not changed in several years.
What we deliberately did not do: we did not repeat the engagement increases, client counts or follower gains published by the consultants, because there is no way to verify them from outside. Rankings of community managers published by a consultant on their own site did not count as proof. We did not audit any client account.
Isabelle Mathieu is a social media strategy consultant, trainer and speaker, registered as a sole trader in Biarritz. She has advised companies, SMEs and institutions on social media since 2010, the year she created Emarketinglicious, a site that decodes platforms and algorithms and that she still keeps up to date. She names clients such as the Ritz Paris, Moët & Chandon, Orange, Crédit Agricole, Pierre Fabre, Siemens, Bosch and the Caisse des Dépôts. She details her speaking engagements: an annual cycle of webinars and conferences for Hootsuite over seven editions, conferences for Oracle, HubSpot and Orange, and talks for Meltwater, Talkwalker and the E-commerce Paris trade show. Her offer covers social media audits and strategy, outsourced marketing management, an eight-week employee advocacy programme for up to twelve employees, and training by network (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest), through a Qualiopi-certified training organisation (Qualiopi is the French quality certification for training providers). Her prices are not published.
Best for: brands, large groups and institutions that want a social media strategy, employees who speak up on LinkedIn or trained teams, and that have someone in-house to publish day to day. If you are looking for someone to manage your accounts every day, other profiles on this list are a better fit.

Julie Olivier is a freelance community manager in Lille and announces fifteen years of experience, in an agency, on the client side and then as an independent. She publishes details of several engagements with named clients: the social media strategy of Aluminium Dunkerque, the LinkedIn strategy of the Klee group, LinkedIn workshops for RTE's teams, and the accounts of Boulangerie Martin, Decathlon's Kipstadium in Tourcoing and the builder Piraino. She also publishes her prices: an audit from €950 excl. VAT, monthly support from €1,290 excl. VAT a month and a package with advertising from €1,690 excl. VAT a month. She states that she handles each account herself and brings in specialist freelancers (motion designer, photographer, copywriter) when a project calls for it, with one visit a month included in the Lille metropolitan area.
Best for: SMEs, manufacturers and shops in the Hauts-de-France region that want to hand over their Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts with a budget known in advance and someone on the ground. The entry price of the monthly support makes her better suited to businesses that already have a communication budget.

Émilie Marquois describes herself as an independent social media consultant, trainer and speaker, and writes that she has supported organisations of all sizes, B2B and B2C, since 2007. She is co-author of two books: the « Guide des bonnes pratiques pour un élu connecté » (Good practice guide for the connected elected official), with Franck Hashas, and « 101 questions sur Twitter » (101 questions about Twitter), with Jean-Noël Chaintreuil. Her site shows the logos of organisations such as Engie, La Poste, Orange, Esri and Erasmus, and signed testimonials, including one from a sales manager at Lefebvre Dalloz and one from a former student of her courses at Visiplus Academy. She is a member of La Brigade du Web, a collective of experts who cover B2B events on social media, and contributes to white papers gathering expert opinions, including one on communication trends for 2026. Her offer ranges from an assessment of your presence to strategy, community management, B2B content creation and training on X. Her prices are not published.
Best for: B2B companies, trade shows and event organisers that want an experienced consultant for their strategy and for covering their key moments on social media. Her training offer still puts a lot of emphasis on X: if your priority is Instagram or TikTok, ask on the first call.

Alexandre Poirier has been a freelance community manager and social media trainer in Bordeaux since 2018, and works through a limited company (SARL). His training activity is Qualiopi certified, which means his sessions can be funded by an OPCO (the French body that funds training in your sector), and he trains entrepreneurs, companies and schools. He also offers strategy, content creation, day-to-day community management (publishing, replying to messages and comments) and social media advertising. His site shows the logos of clients such as CNES, Cultura, the Foire de Bordeaux, the town of La Teste-de-Buch and boutique-rugby.com, and publishes signed testimonials as well as a case studies page. His prices are not published: he works on quotation.
Best for: companies and local authorities in Nouvelle-Aquitaine that want to delegate their social media while training someone on the team, with training that can be funded. For a large account mainly looking for a brand strategy, a consulting profile higher up the list will be a better fit.

Thomas Audouit is a social media consultant in Lille, under the name Ariane Communication, and announces more than seven years of supporting businesses. Despite the word « agence » (agency) on his home page, he writes that he personally handles each account from start to finish, from strategy to results analysis. He is one of the few consultants on this list to publish his prices: post delivery from €390 a month, a Starter Pack Pro at €590 to optimise your profiles in under 30 days with four hours of coaching, an assistance package at €690 a month with four hours of coaching and an audit every week, and employer brand support at €690 a month over three months. His site shows the logos of Hello Lille, the Lille Tourist Office, Toyota Motor Manufacturing France and the engineering firm AEPE Gingko. He does not publish testimonials with figures.
Best for: growing companies that want to keep control of their content and be coached, or that want to use their social media to recruit. He states himself that his packages mainly suit established or growing businesses, apart from the Starter Pack Pro, which is also designed for a launch.

Clément Pellerin is a digital marketing trainer, specialised in tailor-made training since 2011, after managing communication for international brands at Publicis. He is the author of six books published by Dunod, including « La boîte à outils du Community Manager » (The community manager's toolbox), « La méga boîte à outils des réseaux sociaux » (The mega social media toolbox) and « La petite boîte à outils d'Instagram » (The little Instagram toolbox). His organisation, Pellerin Formation, is Qualiopi certified and offers one-to-one training or sessions reserved for colleagues from the same company, by video call or in person anywhere in France, on LinkedIn, Instagram, Meta ads and ChatGPT. His profile page publishes named testimonials, including those of Olivier Cimelière, partner at Wellcom, for a series of workshops, and of the co-founder of the PR agency RP by C&O. His prices are not published.
Best for: companies that want to train the person who already manages their social media, or to create an in-house community manager role. His offer is about training: if you want to delegate publishing, choose another profile on this list.

Alice Bertran is a social media manager and announces more than twelve years of experience. She has specialised in two types of client: organisations that support entrepreneurs (incubators, accelerators, masterminds) and B2B event organisers (trade shows, conferences), for whom she also manages newsletters. She names emlyon venture labs, the Squared accelerator and the Les Premières AURA incubator, and publishes signed testimonials, including those of the head of Squared, a co-organiser of the MiXiT conference and Rebecca Amsellem, head of Gloria Media. Her offer follows four steps (strategy, editorial calendar, community management, reporting) and three packages ranging from one or two accounts with posts once or twice a week to unlimited accounts with posts four to five times a week. Her prices are not published.
Best for: incubators, entrepreneur networks and organisers of trade shows or conferences that need to keep their accounts active before, during and after the event. For a consumer brand, ask her for examples outside her two specialties.

Aude Hazarabedian is a social media manager and LinkedIn consultant in Reims, and writes that she has used social media professionally for more than fifteen years. She mainly supports executives and B2B entrepreneurs on LinkedIn: full management of a profile or a company page, building an editorial line, training so that you can carry on alone. She publishes some of her prices: €660 for a calendar of post ideas over one to three months, and training from €590 a day. She also runs awareness sessions on social media use (screen time, cyberbullying, false information, AI) for parents, employees and teaching staff, and cites the Académie de Reims, Internet Sans Crainte and APEL. Her site does not publish client reviews.
Best for: executives, consultants and B2B SMEs in the Grand Est or Île-de-France regions that want to post regularly on LinkedIn without spending their evenings on it. For Instagram or TikTok, other profiles on this list have more published references.

Aude Goustard is a freelance community manager specialising in natural cosmetics brands and beauty professionals (beauty salons, facialists, make-up artists, beauticians). With a master's degree in digital and data analytics, she was a community manager for three years at a large company before setting up her own business in 2020. She manages Instagram accounts from start to finish and sells an online training course on stories, « Glow Story ». Her site publishes two named testimonials, from the zero-waste soap maker Green Utopie and from Salon Ibana, a plant-based hair salon, and offers a free consultation. Her prices are not published.
Best for: small natural cosmetics brands and beauty salons that sell through Instagram and want someone who knows their customers. Outside beauty, her published experience is limited.

Julie Gaudet has been a community manager since 2020 and has worked full time as a micro-entrepreneur, under the name Com'J Sociality, since January 2022, in the Hérault department. A former youth support worker, she retrained in community management and offers flexible social media management packs, a coaching pack, one-off assignments (promoting an event, photo or video shoot) and, since 2025, a 35-hour remote training course, « Développer son activité commerciale par les réseaux sociaux » (Growing your business through social media), eligible for the CPF (France's personal training account) through a Qualiopi-certified partner organisation. She publishes testimonials from named clients, such as the hip-hop dance company Insomni'Arts and the Cap Soleil campsite in Vias Plage, and links to her Google reviews. Her prices are not published.
Best for: craftspeople, shopkeepers, campsites and non-profits in Occitanie that want a local community manager, or entrepreneurs who want to fund their training through their CPF. Her experience is shorter than that of the profiles higher up the list: ask for examples of accounts she manages in your sector.

Four points to raise on the first call, whoever the consultant is.
Three limits, stated clearly.
It is based on public information. We read what each consultant publishes and checked that each site was live on 17 October 2026. We did not audit any client account or confirm any result. A highly skilled community manager who works mainly through referrals, with a minimal site, will be underrated here.
It does not know your business. The right person to get people talking about a cosmetics brand on Instagram is rarely the right one to establish an industrial executive on LinkedIn. The Best for lines matter more than the rank number.
It covers independents. If you need a full team (regular video production, paid campaigns, influencer marketing, presence in several countries), see our ranking of the 10 best social media agencies in France (2027). Consultants' prices and availability change quickly: check them on their site before you sign.
A consultant makes judgement calls: which network to drop, which tone to adopt during a crisis in the comments, which topic deserves a video rather than a carousel. These decisions require knowing your brand, your customers and the mood of your community. A successful post then prompts part of your audience to search for your name on Google or to ask AI assistants. What these people find depends on the content published on your site, and that is often the part left untended when all the energy goes into social media.
That is what Sorank automates: the platform finds the topics your customers search for, writes and publishes articles optimised for Google and for AI assistants, and shows you when an AI assistant cites your brand. Many companies combine the two: the consultant for the community and social media, the software so that the site takes over from there.
The best social media consultant is the one whose usual clients resemble your business. For a brand strategy or teams to train, Isabelle Mathieu offers the most verifiable references. To hand over your accounts at a published price, Julie Olivier in the Nord, or Thomas Audouit if you prefer to be coached. For a B2B organisation or an event, Émilie Marquois and Alice Bertran. To make your team self-sufficient, Clément Pellerin. And to make sure your site is found on Google and cited by AI assistants when people search for your brand, discover Sorank.
The prices published by the consultants in this ranking start at €390 a month for post delivery, €1,290 excl. VAT a month for full support and €1,690 excl. VAT a month with advertising management. A published audit starts at €950 excl. VAT, and a day of training at €590. Most consultants publish no prices and prepare a quote based on the number of networks, the volume of posts and the share of photo or video creation. Plan the advertising budget paid to the platforms separately.
A freelancer suits you when you want a single point of contact who knows your tone and your customers, for one or two networks and a regular publishing rhythm. An agency becomes a better fit when you manage several brands or several countries, when you need frequent video shoots, paid campaigns and influencer marketing at the same time, or a presence in the evenings and at weekends that does not depend on a single person.
Ask for accounts they manage today that you can look at, an example of a monthly report and clients you can contact. Check on their site how long they have worked independently and, if they offer training, whether they are Qualiopi certified. Be wary of promises of follower numbers made before any analysis, keep ownership of your pages and ad accounts, and give them partner access rather than your passwords.
THEY TRIED SORANK BEFORE YOU
