Electronic signature software: our 2027 top 10 (Docusign, Youtrust, Goodflag...), eIDAS levels, prices checked on October 10, 2026 and points to check before choosing.

Electronic signature software replaces printing, the pen and the scanner when you need an employment contract, a quote, a lease or a purchase order signed. The signature level, the check on the signer's identity and the evidence file determine what you can show if a document is disputed. This ranking reviews ten tools, from Docusign to Docage, based on what each vendor publishes: signature levels, features, billing and prices checked on October 10, 2026, followed by a comparison table and the questions to ask before you subscribe.
In the European Union, electronic signatures are governed by Regulation (EU) No 910/2014, known as eIDAS, amended in 2024 (eIDAS 2). It sets out three levels. A simple electronic signature means data in electronic form attached to or logically associated with other data, which the signer uses to sign. An advanced signature must also be uniquely linked to the signer, be capable of identifying them, be created using data that the signer can, with a high level of confidence, use under their sole control, and make any later change to the document detectable. A qualified signature is an advanced signature created with a qualified electronic signature creation device.
The same text sets two rules. An electronic signature cannot be denied legal effect as evidence in court solely because it is electronic or because it is not qualified. And a qualified signature has the legal effect of a handwritten signature; when it relies on a qualified certificate issued in one Member State, it is recognized as qualified in all the others.
In France, Decree No. 2017-1416 of September 28, 2017 adds a weighty detail: the process is presumed reliable, unless proven otherwise, when it uses a qualified electronic signature. The decree therefore reserves this presumption for the qualified level. For a document where a challenge would be costly, choose the level with your lawyer.
We used four criteria, designed for a company that gets documents signed by customers, employees or suppliers:
The ranking relies only on what each vendor puts online (homepage, features, pricing), viewed in October 2026. We sent no paid envelope, subscribed to no plan, and made no partnership with these vendors.
Docusign combines signature and contract management in a platform it calls Docusign IAM (Intelligent Agreement Management). Its French homepage claims support for the three signature levels defined by eIDAS: the simple signature, the advanced signature by adding Docusign ID Verification to validate the signer's identity, and the qualified signature by combining the signature with its identity verification offer or with its partners' solutions.
Around the signature, the lineup is broad: an AI-analyzed agreement repository (Agreement Manager), contract workflows built without code (Workflow Builder), web forms, payment requests by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay during signing, and sending agreements by text message or WhatsApp. A contract lifecycle management (CLM) offer and APIs round out the package.
Best for: companies that want to manage all their agreements in one place, from sales to HR, connected to Salesforce.
Strengths: all three eIDAS levels announced; more than 1,000 integrations cited on the pricing page; signing offered in more than 44 languages.
Limitations: the plans you can buy online provide simple signatures. The advanced signature goes through enhanced plans negotiated with the sales team, and the qualified signature is a paid add-on. The Standard and Business Pro plans include 100 envelopes per user per year, the Personal plan 5 envelopes per month.
Pricing: Personal at €9 per month billed annually (€108 per year), Standard at €23 and Business Pro at €38 per user per month, also billed annually; the page announces savings of up to 44% on the annual plan. Qualified signature add-on at €10 per recipient. VAT treatment not stated, price checked on October 10, 2026.

At Adobe Acrobat Sign, signing comes in two tiers. For a small or midsize business, it is included in Acrobat Pro: sending a document for signature from Acrobat on desktop or mobile, sending to several signers at once and unlimited signatures with the Acrobat plans for teams. For larger needs, Acrobat Sign is Adobe's standalone electronic signature solution, with an unlimited number of licenses.
The Acrobat Sign Solutions page details bulk signature requests, sending by email or text message, reusable contract templates and ready-made integrations with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, Workday, HubSpot or Zoho CRM. For digital signatures and electronic seals, Adobe integrates with local trust service providers. The site also stresses accessibility, with screen reader support.
Best for: teams that already produce and edit their documents as PDFs, and large organizations that want to plug signing into their CRM or HR software.
Strengths: signing and PDF tools in the same subscription; integrations with the main CRM and HR software; centralized license management through Admin Console.
Limitations: the price of Acrobat Sign Solutions is not shown, the site points to the sales team. The team plans are annual subscriptions, and the homepage warns that half of the remaining annual subscription is billed if you cancel more than 14 days after the trial period.
Pricing: Acrobat Pro Team subscription at €23.99 excl. VAT per month per license, Acrobat Studio for teams at €30.24 excl. VAT per month per license, as an annual subscription billed monthly. Price checked on October 10, 2026 on the Acrobat for business page.

Youtrust announces it at the top of its site: Yousign is becoming Youtrust. The platform brings together three building blocks: electronic signature, automatic verification of your customers' identities and documents (Verify), and the electronic seal, which seals and authenticates a document. All-in-one flows combine these blocks for legal and industry obligations such as KYC and KYB (verifying the identity of a customer or a company) or AML-CFT (anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing).
The app comes with an API to manage signatures from your business tools. The listed features cover real-time tracking, templates, signer order, automatic reminders, approvers and a timestamped evidence file archived for 10 years. The vendor highlights its headquarters in France and its compliance with the eIDAS regulation.
Best for: freelancers and small businesses that want to start on a free plan and then scale up with a French provider.
Strengths: a Free plan to get started; an evidence file kept for 10 years; integrations with Zapier and HubSpot from the Plus plan.
Limitations: the advanced and qualified signatures are add-ons billed on top of the subscription, with the advanced one reserved for annual billing. The One plan is limited to one user and 10 signature invitations per month, and beyond 5 users the offer is built to order.
Pricing: price checked on October 10, 2026. Free at €0 (2 signature invitations per month), One at €9 excl. VAT per month, or €108 per year billed annually, Plus at €23 excl. VAT and Pro at €38 excl. VAT per user per month, or €276 and €456 per year billed annually, which gives two months free. The API starts at €106 excl. VAT per month.

PandaDoc starts from the sales document. Quotes, proposals and contracts are built in a drag-and-drop editor, with a product catalog, pricing tables and a CPQ module (configure, price, quote) that generates quotes automatically. Signing comes at the end of the chain: signing order, in-person signing, signer verification through four methods and a qualified electronic signature compatible with identity providers in the EU and elsewhere.
Tracking includes an audit trail for each document and reports on user activity. Your customers can pay from the invoice through built-in payment gateways, and an AI assistant summarizes contracts and pulls out dates, figures and terms.
Best for: sales teams that want to draft, approve and sign their quotes in the same tool, connected to their CRM.
Strengths: quote building with a catalog and CPQ; qualified signature available; 14-day free trial with no credit card.
Limitations: the qualified electronic signature and recipient verification are reserved for the annual plan. Plans set a quota of documents sent: beyond it, you must move to the next plan or pay for each extra document.
Pricing: the French pricing page gives its prices in dollars: Gratuit (free) plan at $0, Débutant at $19 per month and Professionnel at $49 per user per month, billed annually, with savings of up to 46% announced on annual billing. Beyond the quota, each extra document costs $2 to $3.50 depending on the plan. Entreprise on quote, per user or per document. VAT treatment not stated, price checked on October 10, 2026.

Dropbox Sign, formerly HelloSign according to its own description, is used to send, sign and manage agreements. The flow takes four steps: pick a file in Dropbox or another connected app, add signers, fields and a message, send, then have the signed document saved automatically to your storage. Recipients sign without creating an account.
The listed features include reusable templates, conditional logic, attachment collection, bulk sending and integrations with Google Drive, OneDrive, Salesforce or HubSpot. An API lets you build signing into your website or app. For the qualified signature, the vendor relies on an integration with trusted eID (electronic identity) providers.
Best for: teams that already store their documents in Dropbox, and software vendors that want to offer signing inside their own product.
Strengths: unlimited signature requests for customers billed per user; a product usable in 22 languages by senders and signers; 30-day free trial.
Limitations: beyond five users, you have to go through the sales team, and the Premium plan is negotiated on quote. The ten text message authentications included are counted per user per month.
Pricing: prices in US dollars on the French pricing page: Essentials at $15 per month, or $10.05 per month billed annually ($120.60 per year); Standard at $25 per user per month, or $17.50 billed annually (from $420 per year); Premium on quote. VAT treatment not stated, price checked on October 10, 2026.

Signaturit is the brand of a group that brings together Ivnosys, Vialink, Universign and Validated ID, under the name Signaturit Group, a Namirial Company; the site announces that Signaturit Group is becoming Namirial. The former universign.com site redirects to signaturit.com. The group is listed on the European Union trusted list as a qualified trust service provider (QTSP).
The platform covers identity verification, electronic signature, certified preservation and archiving, and an e-invoicing offer: checks on incoming invoices, a qualified electronic seal applied automatically, and archiving with evidential value for 10 years. On the signing side, transactions can still be edited after they are sent, and a cooling-off period before signing can be enforced, with a record in the evidence file.
Best for: companies that want signing, archiving and e-invoicing from a single qualified provider.
Strengths: simple signature with or without text message, advanced and qualified; unlimited users on the Business plan; signing campaigns and bulk signing on Business+.
Limitations: the advanced and qualified signatures are options paid per unit. The Personal plan is limited to one user and 5 transactions, the Business plan to 10 transactions per user.
Pricing: Personal at €9 excl. VAT per month billed annually, €10 excl. VAT monthly; Business at €23 excl. VAT per user per month billed annually, €29 excl. VAT monthly; Business+ at €38 excl. VAT billed annually, €45 excl. VAT monthly. Advanced signature at €2.50 each, qualified signature from €10. Price checked on October 10, 2026.

The former lex-persona.com site redirects to Goodflag. The tool signs, seals and timestamps documents, on a platform the vendor describes as 100% French, certified by the ANSSI (France's national cybersecurity agency) and eIDAS v2 compliant. Data is hosted on servers in France, and a REST API allows integration with an ERP, a CRM, HR or accounting software.
All three signature levels are included in every pack, and the site ties each one to a use case: the simple level for internal documents and low-value orders, the advanced level, with remote ID document verification, for an employment contract or a preliminary property sale agreement, and the qualified level for insurance contracts, public procurement contracts and formal commitment documents. The qualified level relies on a digital identity, such as France Identité or FranceConnect+ (the French government's digital identity services), or on a physical key. The 2D-Doc seal protects a document against tampering even after it is printed.
Best for: organizations signing binding documents, in banking, insurance, the public sector, healthcare or real estate, that want to open the tool to all their teams.
Strengths: unlimited users and pay-per-use; remote qualified signature through France Identité, which the vendor announces at the price of a simple signature; timestamping of every signature.
Limitations: the free trial is limited to the simple signature and is not suitable for INPI filings (the French patent and trademark office) or public procurement, according to the pricing page. The Pro plan, offered "Sans API" (without API), includes a fixed annual access fee on top of signature credits: API access is included in the Enterprise pack, on quote.
Pricing: Pro at €64 per month, or €768 per year, including access at €480 and 100 signature credits at €2.88 per credit, with volume discounts; Enterprise on quote, with a custom volume above 2,500 credits. VAT treatment not stated, price checked on October 10, 2026.

With airSlate SignNow, you sign documents online, generate agreements, negotiate contracts and accept payments with legally binding signatures. The argument highlighted on the homepage: unlimited users on every plan, at no extra cost, to digitize every document process without per-seat billing.
The listed features include unlimited templates with fillable fields, conditional flows that route documents to recipients by role, sharing a document through a link without entering email addresses, teams, your logo on every invitation and protection by password or two-factor authentication. iOS and Android mobile apps and an API complete the offer. The pricing page cites the GDPR, SOC 2 Type II, PCI DSS and HIPAA.
Best for: organizations that want to open signing to many employees without paying per seat.
Strengths: unlimited users; unlimited templates and document storage; 7-day free trial and 30-day money-back guarantee.
Limitations: the Basique, Entreprise and Avancé plans include 100 invitations per year. Full API access, single sign-on (SSO) and premium integrations belong to the high-volume plan, billed per invitation. The site does not mention the advanced and qualified levels of the eIDAS regulation.
Pricing: Basique at €8 per month, Entreprise at €15 per month and Avancé at €30 per month, billed annually, unlimited users. VAT treatment not stated, price checked on October 10, 2026.

Oodrive Sign belongs to Oodrive, a collaborative platform for sharing, storage and governance meeting management, qualified SecNumCloud (the French security label for cloud services) by the ANSSI since 2019, with data operated and hosted in France. The group is also a certified health data host (HDS).
Oodrive Sign ranges from the simple level to the qualified level, over several channels (text message, email, OTP, meaning a one-time code). Each signed document comes with an evidence file, and legal archiving certified ISO 27001 and NF461 relies on a partnership with Cecurity. Automation covers reminders, mass signing campaigns (getting a large number of contracts signed by different customers) and feeding data from signed contracts back into your information system.
Best for: the public sector, banking, insurance or notaries, who handle sensitive data.
Strengths: certified legal archiving; unlimited users on the Sign Liberty offer; remote, face-to-face, API or offline signing through a mobile app.
Limitations: no price is shown. Both offers, Sign Liberty and Sign API, go through a demo request and require an annual commitment.
Pricing: on quote, with volume pricing based on the number of transactions (pricing page checked on October 10, 2026).

Docage chains five modules that share the same data: Form for drag-and-drop forms you can embed on your site, Mail for emails merged with their recipients, Doc to generate personalized documents, Contact for the address book and Sign for signing. A contact created once works in every module, with no re-entry.
The Sign module announces an eIDAS-compliant signature with text message authentication and qualified timestamping, automatic reminders, batches of signing flows and workflows, from the app or through the API. Among the site's examples: a hiring contract, terms and conditions of sale sent to 800 customers in one batch, a SEPA mandate (the authorization for a bank direct debit).
Best for: companies with an irregular signing volume that want to automate information collection before signing.
Strengths: pay-as-you-go, with credits that never expire; free API access and 10 GB of storage included; forms, documents and signing linked with no re-entry.
Limitations: the only payment method accepted is direct debit by SEPA mandate, and the credit balance is non-refundable. The site does not detail an advanced or qualified signature offer.
Pricing: price checked on October 10, 2026. €4.90 excl. VAT per user account per month, €0.75 excl. VAT per signed flow (one signer, text messages and up to 10 documents included), €0.50 excl. VAT per additional signer, for an order of at least €100 excl. VAT; an order of €1,000 or more gives 10% bonus credits, up to 50% from €500,000.

Prices checked on October 10, 2026 on the vendors' sites. For each tool, the price column gives the first paid plan, in the currency of its French pricing page; advanced or qualified signature options, text messages and the API are often added to this amount.

Our reading stops at the vendors' sites, viewed in October 2026: no real document was signed, no identity verification flow tested, no team interviewed. The compliance claims cited in the reviews remain the vendors' own: for a sensitive document, the validity of a signing flow should be checked with a lawyer, on your specific case.
Prices change often, some pricing pages load through scripts, and two vendors show dollars on their French page: have the amount billed in euros confirmed before you subscribe. Your signing volume, the tools you already use and the level your documents require count for more than the rank. We will reread these pages at every update of the ranking.
Electronic signature software steps in at the end of the sale: it gets the signature and keeps the proof. The step before is out of its reach, when a future customer looks for a provider on Google or asks ChatGPT for advice and your name needs to show up in the answer.
That is the job of Sorank, an SEO and GEO platform: it writes articles built to be picked up by AI assistants, lands backlinks and fixes the site's technical flaws, so the site surfaces on Google as well as in AI assistants. You can keep each article as a draft in your CMS to review it before publication, and track, prompt by prompt, when an AI cites you.
Wondering which of your future customers' searches could lead them to your company? Book a call and we will look at your site together.
The right electronic signature software depends first on the documents you get signed. A freelancer or small business that wants to start for free with a provider headquartered in France will look at Youtrust, with its Free plan followed by per-user plans. An organization signing insurance contracts, public procurement contracts or binding commitments, that wants to open the tool to all its teams, will find all three signature levels included and unlimited users at Goodflag. A large company that wants to manage the whole lifecycle of its contracts, with AI, workflows and Salesforce, will turn to Docusign.
Before you sign with one of them, run the numbers on your real volume over a year and on the signature level your documents need: plans compare better on that figure than on their headline price. Also ask to see a complete evidence file.
The European eIDAS regulation defines three levels. An advanced signature must be uniquely linked to the signer, be capable of identifying them and make any later change to the document detectable. A qualified signature is an advanced signature created with a qualified device, and its legal effect is equivalent to that of a handwritten signature.
Yes. The eIDAS regulation forbids rejecting an electronic signature as evidence in court solely because it is electronic or because it is not qualified. In France, only the qualified signature benefits from a presumption of reliability, under Decree No. 2017-1416. For a high-stakes document, have your lawyer validate the level.
Youtrust offers a Free plan at €0 with 2 signature invitations per month, and PandaDoc a free plan. DocuSeal presents itself as a free open source tool for individuals. Goodflag offers a 14-day trial limited to the simple signature (prices checked on October 10, 2026).
