The short answer

Two different trades share this label in France. Motion design studios animate ideas, which is what you need when the product is software or a process. Audiovisual production agencies film people, places and objects, which is what you need when the subject exists physically. A handful do both credibly. Peech Studio ranks first for covering the B2B end of that range with a stated turnaround and a decade of practice behind it.

Here is the full ranking, with what each agency says it does and the situation it suits best.

1. Peech Studio. B2B video and motion design since 2014. Best for corporate and explainer films.

2. La Petite Production. Corporate video, motion, live capture and advertising. Best for a full production need.

3. La Combine. Independent motion design across 2D, 3D and narrative. Best for animation as the main format.

4. Gorille. Motion design treated as a craft. Best when the animation itself has to stand out.

5. Moonky. B2B motion for presentations and social advertising. Best for videos that must convert.

6. 1600 Agency. Presentation videos on a fixed delivery time. Best for a deadline you cannot move.

7. Lowup. Corporate, recruitment and brand films for mid sized companies. Best for employer branding.

8. Les Fabricants. Film, documentary and animation with distribution. Best for longer form content.

9. Joji Prod. High end creative production for brands and events. Best for premium productions.

10. KÖM. Video production and brand content with a performance angle. Best for content aimed at campaigns.

Why video briefs go wrong

Almost every disappointing video project in France starts the same way: the company decides it needs a video before deciding what the video is for. An explainer that has to sell software, a recruitment film that has to attract engineers and a fifteen second advertisement that has to stop a thumb are three unrelated products, and the studio that excels at one may be indifferent at another.

The second reason is the revision cycle. Animation is expensive to change once production has started, which is why serious studios put so much weight on script and storyboard approval. A client who signs off a storyboard casually and then reacts to the finished animation has bought the same video twice.

The third is format proliferation. One shoot now has to produce a long version, a short version and several vertical cuts for social platforms. Agreeing that list before the shoot costs nothing; adding it afterwards costs a second edit.

How we ranked these agencies

We used four criteria, in this order, and only what each agency publishes about itself.

1. Specialisation. Studios whose homepage is about video and animation come first, ahead of general communication agencies that offer it among fifteen services.

2. Format range. Corporate, explainer, advertising, 3D, live capture and documentary are different capabilities. We noted which ones each agency names.

3. Published commitments. Quote deadlines, delivery times and revision policies stated openly.

4. Whether the site is alive and clear. We looked at every homepage in our list, in August 2026. Two domains in this sector now serve unrelated foreign sites, which says something about how quickly a directory listing goes stale.

We did not repeat the client names, project counts or awards published on these homepages, beyond noting that some exist.

The 10 best video and motion design agencies in France

1. Peech Studio

Peech Studio has worked as a B2B video agency since 2014, covering corporate film, motion design and explainer video, and publishes a quote turnaround of twenty four hours. B2B specialisation matters here: explaining a complex product to a professional audience is a different discipline from making something people will share, and few studios are genuinely good at both.

Best for: companies with a complex product that needs explaining to a professional audience.

Peech Studio covers corporate film, motion design and explainer video for B2B.

2. La Petite Production

La Petite Production is an audiovisual production agency covering corporate video, motion design, live event capture and advertising film, with fifteen years of corporate communication behind it. Live capture is the capability worth noting: an agency that can film your conference and animate your explainer saves you a second supplier and a second briefing.

Best for: companies with a year round mix of filmed and animated content.

3. La Combine

La Combine is an independent motion design agency working across narrative films, 3D, infographic animation, 2D and advertising, publishing its process and committing to a quote within forty eight hours. The breadth inside animation is the differentiator: many studios have one house style, and this one names four registers.

Best for: projects where animation is the main format and the style is not fixed yet.

4. Gorille

Gorille presents motion design as a craft demanding complete commitment, attention to detail and continuous innovation, and displays the awards it has received. When the animation itself is the message, rather than a wrapper around a script, the studios that talk about craft are the ones to shortlist.

Best for: brands whose video has to be visually memorable on its own.

Gorille positions motion design as a craft with awards to show for it.

5. Moonky

Moonky is a B2B motion design agency producing presentation videos and social advertising creatives, with a stated quote turnaround of twenty four hours. The two formats it names are the ones with a measurable job to do, which is a useful sign that the studio is thinking about the result rather than the reel.

Best for: companies that need videos with a conversion target attached.

6. 1600 Agency

1600 Agency is a motion design studio producing presentation videos, and publishes two commitments most studios avoid: delivery within thirty days and unlimited revisions. Putting those in writing changes the nature of the relationship, and it is the reason this one earns a place despite a narrow format range.

Best for: a launch date that will not move.

7. Lowup

Lowup is a video and motion design agency in Vannes producing corporate films, recruitment films, brand image films and strategic campaigns for small and mid sized companies. Recruitment film as a named service is worth noticing: in a tight labour market it is often the video with the clearest return.

Best for: mid sized companies with an employer brand problem as much as a marketing one.

8. Les Fabricants

Les Fabricants describes itself as a creative and committed 360 agency creating bespoke content: film, documentary, animation, production and distribution. Documentary and distribution are the unusual entries here, and they suit organisations with a story that needs more than ninety seconds to tell.

Best for: longer form content that has to be distributed as well as produced.

9. Joji Prod

Joji Prod is a creative video production agency specialising in high end audiovisual projects for brands, companies and events, across motion design, advertising and video marketing, and publishes verified client reviews. Independent reviews are rare in this trade and worth more than a showreel, because a showreel only contains the successes.

Best for: premium productions where the finish has to match the brand.

10. KÖM

KÖM is a video production and brand content agency that pairs creative ambition with targeted performance, publishing structured offers rather than bespoke quotes only. Content produced with the campaign already in mind tends to arrive in the right formats, which saves an entire round of re editing.

Best for: content produced specifically to feed advertising campaigns.

What to check before you sign

Three questions prevent most of the pain.

1. How many revision rounds, and at which stages? Get it in the contract, stage by stage: script, storyboard, animation. Unlimited revisions after animation has started is either a wonderful commitment or a hidden price increase, and you should know which.

2. What deliverables, in which formats? Long version, short version, vertical cuts, subtitled versions, source files. Decide the list before the shoot, not after the edit.

3. Who owns the music and the footage? Music licences expire. Ask how long yours lasts and what happens when it does, because a video you can no longer legally publish is an expensive lesson.

The words underneath the video

A video convinces the people who watch it. Getting them to watch it is a separate problem, and it is usually solved with text: the page the video sits on, the article that brings someone there from a search, the transcript that lets a search engine understand what the video says.

Video and written content are not competitors. The written layer is what makes the video findable, months after the launch campaign has stopped, and it is what an assistant reads when someone asks a question your video answers.

That is what Sorank automates. It is software, not an agency: keyword research, article writing, internal linking, publishing to your site and tracking how often you appear in the answers AI assistants give. Pricing starts at 99€ per month, with 3 days offered and a card required at sign up. If you would rather talk it through first, book a call.

Conclusion

If you want one recommendation: Peech Studio for a B2B product that needs explaining, La Combine or Gorille when the animation itself has to be remarkable, and 1600 Agency if the date is fixed and cannot move.

And decide what the video is for before you take the first call. Studios can make almost anything; they cannot make the decision you have not made.

Frequently questions asked

How much does a motion design video cost in France?

The variables are duration, the amount of original illustration or 3D, and how many rounds of revision are included. A short explainer built from an existing visual identity sits well below a bespoke animated film with original artwork and a composed soundtrack. Ask for the price at a fixed duration, with the number of revision rounds written down, because that is where budgets slip.

Motion design or filmed video?

Motion design wins when the subject is abstract: software, a process, a service, anything with no photogenic object. Filmed video wins when people, places or physical products carry the message, because faces and real objects create a trust that animation cannot. Many agencies on this list do both and will tell you which one your subject needs, which is a good reason to ask before you have decided.

How long does a video project take?

Four to eight weeks is typical from brief to delivery for a single short video, with the script and storyboard approval taking longer than the production itself. A few studios publish shorter guaranteed turnarounds by working from templated formats. If your deadline is tight, say so at the first meeting, because it changes which format is realistic.

Our clients' case studies

I specialized in GEO thanks to Sorank. The GEO Leaderboard allows me to show my clients their position vs competitors on ChatGPT. It’s a real commercial differentiator.

I’m a developer, not a marketer. My Shopify theme was selling only through word-of-mouth and ads. With Sorank I finally understood how to structure my SEO and write articles to rank. The audit showed my product page was too slow. In 2 months, my organic traffic doubled and I’m starting to appear in ChatGPT answers when people search for Shopify themes. All of that with about 2 hours per week.

I manage our dealership’s website and it had dozens of issues: slow pages, 404 errors, missing tags. We were losing rankings every month without understanding why. The Sorank audit detected everything in 5 minutes. I sent the report to our web provider with the priority fixes. We regained our rankings and traffic picked back up. Perfect for someone non-technical like me!

I’m a CMO for a SaaS and I manage acquisition in a very competitive market. We were investing heavily in our product but not working on our SEO. No visibility on our real competitors, no tracking of our presence in AI. Sorank showed us our positioning vs competitors, which keywords to target, and GEO opportunities we had completely ignored!

We are an Ads agency and we wanted to get our SEO back on track once and for all. Sorank gave us a clear view of our site, helped us prioritize optimizations, and properly structure our content. The tool is easy to use, well designed for a team, and very practical for centralizing tracking without having to juggle multiple platforms. A very solid foundation to start fresh with our SEO.

For 2 years, 100% of my clients came from LinkedIn. Posting daily, commenting, DM follow-ups… totally dependent on the algorithm. I knew I needed to work on SEO but always postponed it: too long, too technical, not my job. With Sorank, I finally took the step. In 4 months, I generate 15 organic leads per month without posting anything. It’s not 50/50 with LinkedIn yet, but I sleep better knowing I now have a second lead source growing on autopilot.
