Our ranking of the 10 best freelance data and analytics consultants in France in 2027, checked one by one: GA4, tracking, Power BI, prices, limits.

In short
Julien Coquet is the strongest profile among the best data and analytics consultants in France for a large company or an agency that wants to structure its measurement: more than 20 years in the field, named clients such as Carrefour, L'Oréal and Orange, and two reference books he translated into French. Morgan Fabre is a better fit for an online retail brand that wants reliable tracking, Aristide Riou for an SME that wants to know the price before the first call, Francis Wolinski for an organisation that needs to audit a predictive model, and Kevin Schroeder for a finance team that spends too many hours on its Excel reports. The right choice depends first on which part of the field you need: collecting the data, turning it into dashboards, or modelling it.

Choosing among the best data and analytics consultants in France means handing a single person the way your company measures what happens on its website, in its campaigns or in its sales. The term covers three neighbouring trades: tracking and web analytics (Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Matomo, Piano), business intelligence (Looker Studio or Power BI dashboards, a BigQuery data warehouse) and data science (predictive models, processing of heterogeneous data). The legal framework matters as much as the technical side: the CNIL, the French data protection authority, sets out the conditions under which an audience measurement tool can run without consent, on its page Cookies: solutions for audience measurement tools (in French). This ranking brings together ten independent consultants, checked one by one, and says for each which type of need they match.
An independent data and analytics consultant designs and carries out the engagement personally. The person who writes your tagging plan is the one who installs the tags, checks that the figures come through and builds the dashboard. There is no project manager between you and your data.
This format has three advantages: a single contact knows the history of your tracking, the fees do not fund a structure, and fixes happen quickly when the site changes. It also has two limits. One person rarely covers data collection, data engineering and modelling at the same level, and their absence blocks urgent fixes. Several consultants on this list rely on a network of specialists or work under white label with agencies to deal with this.
If your project covers several countries, several brands and a complete data platform to build and maintain, an agency team is often a better fit. Our ranking The 10 Best Data and Analytics Agencies in France (2027) covers that case.
Five criteria, in this order, applied only to what each consultant publishes on their own site. Every site on this list was reviewed on 16 October 2026, and this page is scheduled for review every 90 days.
1. Data is the core business. Consultants whose offer is first about measurement, tracking, BI or modelling come before those who mention data alongside website creation or advertising.
2. Proof you can check yourself. Named clients, signed testimonials, a certification issued by a software vendor, books, talks or dated training courses count for more than a number of projects shown without detail.
3. An offer you can read before the first call. A published price, a method described step by step or a clear list of deliverables.
4. Fit with a type of client. We kept profiles that serve different needs (large accounts, e-commerce, SMEs, research, financial services, local authorities) and said which ones.
5. Real, independent activity. A live website, the person's name displayed, engagements carried out by the consultant personally or within a structure of one to three people. Sites that present themselves as an agency were left out, even when a single person seems to run them.
What we deliberately did not do: we did not repeat time savings, project counts or ratings shown without a source, because there is no way to verify them from outside. Rankings of consultants published by a consultant on their own site did not count as proof. We did not audit any Google Analytics account or any client dashboard.
Julien Coquet is a digital analytics consultant based in Montélimar, offering his services under the N7 Data brand to mid-sized agencies and large companies. He announces more than 20 years of experience in data and online performance measurement, with a career at Hub'Scan (Business & Decision), OX2 (LBi), Capgemini, HP and then MightyHive, within Media.Monks. His personal site, juliencoquet.com, lists a long series of clients, including Airbus, Carrefour, Chanel, Decathlon, L'Oréal, Orange and Société Générale. He translated two reference books of the field into French, “Web Analytics 2.0” by Avinash Kaushik and “The Big Book of Key Performance Indicators” by Eric Peterson, recorded Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Data Studio training courses for Elephorm, and speaks at industry events such as MeasureCamp and Superweek, where he announces his thirteenth participation in February 2027. N7 Data covers analytics strategy and architecture (GA4, BigQuery pipelines, KPIs), Google Tag Manager implementation, data governance and GDPR compliance, and conversion rate optimisation. He does not publish prices: first contact goes through an audit request.
Best for: large companies and agencies that need an on-demand data lead to overhaul their tagging plan, their BigQuery warehouse and their KPIs. His blog is mostly written in English, and a very small business that only wants to install GA4 will find a lighter profile further down this list.

Morgan Fabre is a web analytics and digital marketing consultant, self-employed since 2014 and full-time since 2017, based in Vincennes, on the edge of Paris. A computer engineer, he started as a developer, then set up the Eulerian analytics tool at Numericable before becoming head of display, social ads and data activation after the merger with SFR. He names around thirty clients, including SFR, Intersport, E.Leclerc, Etam, Zadig & Voltaire, Le Bon Marché, Shiseido and Le Slip Français. His usual engagements are tracking audits, tagging plans, server-side tracking (server-side Google Tag Manager, Commanders Act), GA4 and Piano Analytics configuration, offline conversion uploads, tracking for Shopify stores, installing a consent management platform, and dashboards. He also takes on paid acquisition engagements and in 2021 co-founded the recruitment firm Digital Movers. His prices are not published.
Best for: fashion, beauty and retail brands that sell online and want to link reliable conversion data to their advertising spend. His activity also covers acquisition and recruitment: ask on the first call what share of his time he devotes to tracking.

Aristide Riou has been an independent web analytics consultant for more than 15 years and works through his company, Might and Metrics. He started in e-commerce at Cdiscount, moved through the Wunderman and BBDO agencies, then worked for Ouest-France from 2016 to 2020, first in-house and then as a freelancer, and for Royal Canin from 2016 to 2023. He names his recent clients: Easypara, Fugam (pecheur.com, chasseur.com), April Moto, Codes Rousseau, Rue89, LNA Santé and Ouest-France, as well as partner agencies such as Pixalione and Intuiti. He covers client-side and server-side Google Tag Manager, GA4, BigQuery, Piwik PRO, Piano Analytics, server-side hosting (Addingwell, Stape), consent management platforms and ad platform tracking. He also trains and lists sessions at EDHEC, Le Wagon and ENSAI. He publishes his rate: €100 excl. VAT an hour, billed by the quarter hour, with no package or minimum invoice. His blog is kept up to date, with a comparison of analytics tools published in July 2026 and an article on Stape in September 2026.
Best for: SMEs, media and online retailers with a one-off need (fixing a tag, moving to server-side tracking, sorting out consent) who prefer to pay for the hours really worked. With hourly billing, ask for an estimate of the number of hours before starting a long project.

Christophe Dubois is a tracking and data consultant, freelance since 2012, who works throughout France and remotely. His offer is split into three blocks: collection (audit, Google Tag Manager and dataLayer, server-side tracking, GA4, Matomo, Piano, consent), attribution (ad platform conversion APIs, offline conversions, mobile attribution, product analytics) and steering (data warehouse, BigQuery and dbt, dashboards, reverse ETL). His site shows logos such as Bpifrance, Decathlon, Doctolib, L'Occitane and Tiime, publishes detailed case studies, including Tiime, Spareka and Perceval Express, and testimonials signed with a first name and a job title at Upway, Bulldozer and Stello. He states that he is a partner of twelve tools, including Stape, Matomo, Piano Analytics, Didomi, Adjust and AppsFlyer, and offers a white-label service for agencies. His prices are not published, and the rating shown on his site does not state its source: we did not take it into account.
Best for: online retailers, SaaS publishers and mobile apps that need to connect web and app tracking, conversion APIs and a data warehouse. He partners with many tools: ask whether he earns a commission on the ones he recommends.

Mehdi Oudjida is a freelance web analytics consultant in Lyon and has supported clients since 2010 under the Wissi brand. He specialises in Looker Studio, formerly Google Data Studio, which he has used for nine years according to his site, and runs withdatastudio.com, a blog of advanced tutorials with a Chrome extension for report builders. His offer runs from defining KPIs to tracking, tool configuration, dashboards and automated reporting, with A/B testing campaigns and training so that your teams can take over. He works with BigQuery, Google Cloud, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Piwik PRO and Piano Analytics. His site shows the logos of Michelin, Groupe Casino, Euromaster, April and SQLI, without detailing the engagements. He publishes neither prices nor testimonials.
Best for: teams that already have data but reports nobody reads, and want Looker Studio dashboards built by a specialist in the tool. Logos do not say what was done: ask for an anonymised sample report.

Nourdine Chebcheb has been a freelance analytics consultant for seven years and announces more than 200 projects. He offers four services: tracking (Google Tag Manager audit and tagging plan, client-side and server-side), analytics (advanced GA4 configuration, attribution, segments), compliance (GDPR audit, Consent Mode v2, consent management platform) and automated Looker Studio dashboards. His method is described in six steps, from scoping to recommendations. His site shows the logos of Matmut, Beobank, IDKIDS, BlaBlaCar and Maddyness, and publishes six testimonials signed with a first name and an initial, some of them linked to IDKIDS and Jacadi. When a project calls for it, he brings in a network of specialists (data engineering, BI, marketing automation, compliance) whom he coordinates himself. His prices are not published: the first exchange is a free 30-minute audit.
Best for: retail chains, banks and insurers, travel and luxury brands that want GDPR-compliant tracking and a ready-to-use dashboard. His site publishes neither a city nor expert content: ask for examples of recent deliverables.

Francis Wolinski presents himself as an independent scientific consultant in data and AI, and has worked since 2013 through his company, Yotta Conseil, in Rueil-Malmaison. He runs data projects using the CRISP-DM method, audits and recalibrates predictive models, produces indicators and visualisations, and handles difficult data: reverse documentation, merging heterogeneous sources, integration with existing systems. He names clients and partners such as SNCF Innovation & Recherche, Orphanet and Inserm, CliniSciences, datacraft, auticon France and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, as well as unnamed insurance companies. He describes projects such as Vidar-19, which visualises COVID-19 risk factors from scientific articles, and Talamut, a text mining engine for PubMed. He teaches Python applied to data analysis, data visualisation, natural language processing and machine learning at master's level, and leads talks and round tables on AI. His prices are not published.
Best for: insurers, research bodies and companies that need to audit a predictive model, make data from several sources reliable or train their teams in Python. For web tracking or marketing dashboards, the profiles higher up this list are a better fit.

Diane Pelletrat de Borde runs Dibenn Consulting, a limited company (SARL) based in Viroflay, in the Yvelines, dedicated to measuring digital performance: web marketing project management, web analytics and data visualisation. The offer includes defining KPIs, a tagging plan built with the client, a campaign URL builder, analysis of traffic sources and return on investment, data processing and reporting, tag management in line with consent, as well as training and documentation. The site publishes four named testimonials, including those of Sophie Guignard at Engie Digital, Sylvie Joga at Sage and Marion Lahaye at Club Identicar, and states that it also works for training organisations and major business schools. It speaks in the first person plural and names its director only in the legal notice. Neither prices nor years of activity are published.
Best for: marketing departments of large companies and schools that want a documented tagging plan and reporting followed by a stable contact. The site does not date its content and does not mention GA4: ask on the first call who will carry out the engagement and with which tools.

Kevin Schroeder is a Power BI developer and trainer, independent for eight years, two of them as a trainer. He works in the Grand Est region (Metz, Nancy), in Paris, in Luxembourg and remotely. He trains teams, builds dashboards on Excel, SQL or cloud sources, automates reporting and shows how to use AI to write DAX formulas and M code. He also offers one-to-one remote lessons. His site presents three anonymised cases (industry, finance, sales) and three testimonials signed with a first name and a job title (management controller, sales manager, administrative and finance director), and shows a rating of 5 out of 5 across 13 Google reviews. He does not publish prices: he answers quote requests within 24 hours and offers a free 15-minute assessment.
Best for: SMEs and finance departments that spend hours consolidating Excel files and want to move to Power BI while training their teams. His case studies are anonymised and their gains presented as typical situations: ask for a demonstration on data close to yours.

Rémi Jourdan is a Matomo consultant, an independent provider with no capital ties to the vendor, and a certified Matomo Partner for 2026 and 2027. He announces more than ten years of experience on the web, including five specialising in data analytics. His offer centres on a single tool: migration from GA4 to Matomo with recovery of historical data, a tagging plan with Matomo Tag Manager, the configuration that makes it possible to claim the CNIL consent exemption, Looker Studio dashboards connected to Matomo, and a half-day training session for up to ten people on your own instance. He names no clients and does not publish prices: the first exchange is a free 30-minute assessment.
Best for: local authorities, editorial sites and companies concerned about the sovereignty of their data that want to leave Google Analytics, and remove their cookie banner when the configuration allows it. His site publishes neither a city nor references: ask for examples of completed migrations.

Four points to raise on the first call, whoever the consultant is.
Three limits, stated clearly.
It is based on public information. We read what each consultant publishes and checked that each site was live on 16 October 2026. We did not audit any client account or confirm any result. A consultant who communicates little and delivers very well will be underrated here.
It does not know your needs. The right consultant to migrate an editorial site to Matomo is rarely the right one to audit a pricing model, and the reverse is also true. The Best for lines matter more than the rank number. If your project calls for a full team, see our ranking of the best data and analytics agencies in France.
It ages. Consultants' offers, prices, partnerships and availability change quickly, as do the tools themselves. Check on the consultant's site before you sign.
A consultant decides what deserves to be measured: which KPIs to track, what gap between two tools to accept, which conversion to count, which tool to keep when three contradict each other. These trade-offs require knowing your business, your teams and your legal constraints. Regular monitoring of certain figures, on the other hand, comes back every week and often ends up abandoned for lack of time.
Sorank automates part of this monitoring for your online visibility: the platform connects your Search Console data, measures the traffic AI assistants send you and shows you when an AI assistant cites your brand, then writes and publishes articles to improve those figures. Many companies combine the two: the consultant to make measurement reliable and choose the KPIs, the software to track and feed visibility without interruption.
The best data and analytics consultant is the one whose usual engagements resemble your needs. To structure measurement for a large company or an agency, Julien Coquet offers the longest track record and the most verifiable references. For the tracking of a brand that sells online, Morgan Fabre. For an SME that wants a published price, Aristide Riou is the most transparent. For a predictive model to audit, Francis Wolinski, and to move from Excel to Power BI, Kevin Schroeder. And to track your visibility in Google and in AI assistants every week, discover Sorank.
In this ranking, only one consultant publishes a rate: €100 excl. VAT an hour, billed by the quarter hour, with no package or minimum invoice. The others work on quotation, and several offer a free first assessment of 15 or 30 minutes. The tools themselves, such as server-side tracking hosting, BigQuery or Power BI licences, are billed separately by their vendors.
A consultant suits you when you want a single point of contact who writes the tagging plan, installs the tags and builds the dashboards personally, on a clear scope. An agency becomes a better fit when the project covers several countries or several brands, or requires building and maintaining a complete data platform with a team that does not depend on a single person.
Ask for named clients and an anonymised example of a tagging plan or dashboard, and check their certifications on the relevant vendor's site, Matomo for example. Also ask whether they earn a commission on the tools they recommend. Keep the Google Analytics, Tag Manager and BigQuery accounts in your company's name from day one.
THEY TRIED SORANK BEFORE YOU
