Data study of 20011 Claude answers over 13 months: the platforms it cites most, its citation density and how it differs from the four other AI.

Claude was measured on 20011 answers over 13 months. Its most cited platform is Trustpilot at 1.57%, and it names on average 3.5 sources per answer, which places it fourth of the five models measured.
Claude cites the smallest and most selective set of sources of the five models, and it ignores several platforms the others rely on.
A citation rate of 2% means the source was cited twice for every 100 measured answers. Rates are computed per model against the number of answers of that model, so a model with a smaller sample never distorts a column. A source cited several times inside one answer is counted once per company block, which keeps a single verbose answer from dominating a month.
The distribution is worth as much as the ranking. The top three sources hold 63% of the citations counted in this table, 1 platform sits above 1%, and Trustpilot is cited 3.1 times more often than HubSpot. A market where three sources hold most of the citations rewards depth on those three rather than presence everywhere.
Citation density on Claude moved from 4.7 to 2.1 sources per answer over the period. The platforms it cites moved too: Trustpilot is now first at 1.57%.
Claude behaves like a careful analyst: fewer sources, more weight on specialised and professional references, and near indifference to community platforms. For a business, that means generic social proof does not travel here. What travels is domain specific documentation, professional directories in your field, and content that reads as expert rather than promotional. It is the hardest model to enter and the least noisy once you are in.

Because the measured citation rate for that platform is zero on Claude over the period. It is a real result, not a gap in the data: the model simply did not cite that platform in the answers we collected.
