SEO for tutors is how an independent tutor, a learning center or a test prep company gets found when a parent types "math tutor near me", a student looks for "online tutoring for SAT" or someone asks ChatGPT "how much does a tutor cost". Families compare subject, level, format, price and the tutor's background before they book a first session. Sorank finds those questions for each subject you teach, publishes clear answers on your site on autopilot, and tracks which tutors and platforms the AI assistants suggest.
For private tutors, tutoring centers and online tutoring services. Sorank promises no grade or score, and your pages should not either.

"Algebra 2 tutor online", "reading tutor for 2nd grade", "is 1 hour of tutoring a week enough": demand is spread across subjects, levels and exams. Sorank builds research topics from your Search Console, your competitors and AI answers, then lists the keywords of each topic, so every subject you teach gets its own articles.
Find them with keyword research.
A parent who asks Gemini for "a chemistry tutor for AP exams in Phoenix" or "the best online SAT tutoring" gets a few names, often marketplaces. Sorank asks your tracked questions every month and ranks the domains the assistants cite, with their visitors, keywords and Google position, so you see whether a marketplace, a franchise or a local tutor is quoted in your place.
The ranking lives in the GEO leaderboard.

Type "find easy keywords for my SAT prep page" or "write the two best articles from this list" in the SEO chat, and Sorank starts the articles from your keywords, with their progress shown in the conversation. They then appear in your article list, ready to schedule or to read before they go live.

WordPress, Wix, Webflow, Shopify or a webhook: it takes a few minutes, even for a one-tutor site. Sorank reads Search Console to see which subjects, levels and towns already bring visitors.
The subjects and exams you teach, grade levels, online or in-person, the towns you travel to, one-to-one or small groups, and your rates if you publish them. Sorank turns this into the questions parents and students ask, ranked by volume and difficulty.
New articles can stay as drafts while you check exam dates, rates and how your method is described. Once approved, they go live on schedule, each linked to your booking or free consultation page.

I ran my own SEO agency for years. I built Sorank to deliver the same results to every business, at scale.

SEO for tutors is the work that makes a tutor or tutoring center visible when families look for help, on Google, on Maps and in what ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude reply. Many tutoring businesses are one person with a simple website, up against marketplaces and franchises that cover every subject in every city. A small site can still be the best answer to the precise questions it covers in depth.
They narrow by subject, level and format, then check price and fit. A parent starts with "math tutor near me" or "online reading tutor for 1st grade", reads about rates ("how much does a tutor cost"), then searches the tutor's name with "reviews". On rate searches, Google's "People also ask" box shows questions such as "is 1 hour of tutoring a week enough" and "what is a good tutoring price": each one can be an article on your site.
Tutors who teach in students' homes appear on Maps as service-area businesses. Google's Business Profile help lets such a business set up to 20 service areas, by city or postal code, and asks that the whole area stay within about 2 hours of driving from the base. Sorank does not manage that profile, but your articles can name the same towns, so the profile and the site say the same thing. Our guide to local keyword research helps you pick them.
On some assistants, yes; on others, hardly at all. Our YouTube citation study found YouTube in 2.35% of measured answers over the last three months, second of the platforms tracked, and in 4.17% of education answers. The split by model is what counts: Gemini cites YouTube in 3.69% of its answers and Perplexity in 3.46%, while ChatGPT does in 0.04% and Claude never.
So a short worked example on YouTube helps with Gemini and Perplexity, as long as its description and transcript say in words what the video shows (see YouTube transcript citations). Publish the same explanation as an article on your own site, so ChatGPT and Claude can find it too.

Our article on question keywords shows how to turn what parents ask into a publishing plan.
Facts a parent can act on. A subject article says which levels you teach, how a session runs, how progress is reported and what the family prepares. A rate article gives your price per hour or per package, what changes it and your cancellation policy. A test prep article describes the exam as it is today: according to the College Board, the SAT lasts 2 hours and 14 minutes for 98 questions, and the second module of each section becomes harder or easier depending on how the first one went. A guide that still describes the old paper test tells a careful parent that the page is out of date.
In June 2025, Google announced that Course Info structured data would no longer be supported in its results. Subjects, levels, format and price therefore need to be readable in the text of the page itself, which is also what the AI assistants read.
Only real reviews, and no promised scores. In the United States, the Federal Trade Commission's rule on fake reviews and testimonials, announced in August 2024, bans fake reviews, including AI-generated ones, and certain reviews by insiders who do not disclose their link to the business; elsewhere, check the local rule. Ask families for a review after a few weeks of lessons, reply to each one, and quote them on your site only with their permission.
For results, describe what you do and what you track ("a progress note after every fourth session"), not the grade a child will get. Our guide to getting more Google reviews covers how to ask.
Sorank researches the questions families and students ask, writes and publishes the articles with links to your booking page, checks every month whether ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini mention you, and gathers Search Console, Analytics and visits from AI assistants in one dashboard. On a Wix site, articles go straight to your blog (see Wix SEO).
You keep your Google Business Profile, reviews and marketplace profiles, booking and payment tools, the consent of families for any testimonial or student work, and the teaching itself. Related sectors have their own pages: private schools, language schools and course creators.
One website on Sorank Essential costs $49 a month billed yearly, or $99 month to month, for 20 articles a month and 10 prompts tracked in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini: enough for a tutor with a few subjects. A center with many subjects or exams can take Pro (60 articles, 20 prompts, plus Grok) at $129 a month billed yearly or $249 monthly, or Business (120 articles, 50 prompts) at $249 billed yearly or $499 monthly (see the plans). There are 3 free days to start, and the 90-day results-or-refund guarantee covers each plan.
Expect months, and plan around the school year. Demand follows the calendar: back to school, report cards, exam registration, the weeks before a test. Put each article online before its peak, judge each subject by its Search Console impressions and clicks after a few months, and count the consultation requests that came from search or from an AI assistant.
On broad searches the marketplaces are strong. On precise ones, such as a subject and level in your town or a specific exam, a tutor who explains the method, format and price in detail is often the better answer.
No, and your pages should not either. Sorank writes about your subjects, methods and formats, and measures where you appear on Google and in AI answers.
If you can, yes, or a range with what changes it. Parents search for prices early, and a clear answer saves both sides a call that leads nowhere.
No. Your Google Business Profile, reviews and any marketplace profile stay with you. Sorank works on your own website and on what ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini say about you.
Yes. Name the exams you prepare students for (SAT, ACT, A-levels, the baccalaureate or others) and Sorank proposes their questions; check dates and rules before each article goes live.
Essential is $49 a month per website on a yearly plan, or $99 paid monthly, after 3 free days and with a 90-day results-or-refund guarantee.
We don't. Sorank isn't trying to be another Semrush or Ahrefs. Those tools are built for data, Sorank is built to do the work. Instead of more dashboards to check, it turns SEO and GEO insights into actions: articles written and published, backlinks earned, technical fixes and AI visibility tracking. Less complexity, more results.
From $49/month per website on a yearly plan, with a 3-day free trial and a 90-day money-back guarantee (conditions apply). Every plan includes articles, AI visibility tracking and access to natural backlink acquisition; higher plans add more articles, more AI prompts tracked and more backlinks. No setup fees, no paying for seats you don't use.
You shouldn't need a full marketing team or expensive tools to grow. Sorank handles your entire SEO and AI visibility, so you save time and money.
