SEO for AI companies has a twist: your buyers ask an AI assistant which AI tool to pick. When someone types "best AI notetaker for sales calls" into ChatGPT or "AI coding assistant for a Python team" into Google, the answer depends on pages that may describe your product as it was a year ago. Sorank publishes the articles that keep those facts current, plans them around your releases and checks every month how ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini describe you.
You set the facts and the tone; Sorank writes, publishes and measures.

Language models learn from pages written months ago: a pricing tier you dropped, a model name you retired, a feature still marked as beta. When a buyer asks "is [your tool] free?", "does [your tool] have an API?" or "does [your tool] train on my data?", the answer comes from those pages unless fresher ones exist. Sorank shows which sources the AIs used when they mention you and which searches they ran first, so you know which facts to republish.
Explore the searches behind each answer in AI query fanout.
A new model, a new integration, a price change: each release creates searches within days, such as "[your tool] vs [new rival]", "how to use [feature] for customer support" or "best AI transcription API 2026". Add the keyword to the calendar with one line of instructions ("explain the new Slack integration and its limits") and Sorank writes and publishes the article on the date you choose.
Plan your launches in the blog planner.

ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini do not read the same sources, so a product can lead in one and be missing from another. For prompts like "best AI agent platform for customer service", Sorank asks each model every month (Grok from the Pro plan) and ranks the companies named ahead of you, model by model, with their citations.
Compare the field in the GEO leaderboard.
Webflow, WordPress or Wix connect directly; a Next.js or headless marketing site receives articles through a webhook. Sorank syncs Search Console and Analytics, including the visits that already come from ChatGPT or Perplexity.
Current plans and prices, supported models, integrations, data policy and the competitors buyers name next to you. These facts feed every article, and the prompts you track mirror what buyers type into ChatGPT.
Articles go live on schedule or wait as drafts until a product manager checks the numbers and names. Each one links to the docs or the feature page it explains.

SEO for AI companies is the work that makes an AI product show up, and be described correctly, when buyers search Google or ask ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini which tool to use. The basics are those of any software company, but two things change. Your buyers already use AI assistants to choose, so those answers weigh more than in most markets. And your product changes faster than the models' knowledge: an assistant answers from what it learned before its knowledge cutoff, plus the pages it fetches live.
The field is crowded too. The Stanford AI Index 2026 counts 1953 newly funded AI companies in the United States in 2025 alone. Saying clearly what you do, for whom and at what price is what separates you from the next launch.
They ask for a recommendation, then check the names it returns. Before answering, the assistant often runs its own searches (the query fanout) and reads the pages that come back: comparisons, review sites, documentation, forums.
Each model keeps its own reading list. In our AI citation study of 301025 answers, Wikipedia is cited in 3.43% of ChatGPT answers and in 0.03% of Claude answers, and only six platforms are cited by all five models measured. A plan built on one assistant can miss the other four, which is why Sorank reports model by model. Our guide to ranking in Claude explains what is specific to Anthropic's assistant, which cites few sources per answer.
Not for Google. Its guide to optimizing for generative AI features, updated in July 2026, says you do not need new machine-readable files or special schema.org markup, and that Google Search itself does not use llms.txt: the file neither helps nor harms your Google rankings. Other services may read it, so keeping one costs little (see how to install llms.txt).
What the same guide asks for is original content with a first-hand perspective, crawlable pages and a good page experience. For an AI company, that means pages a generic summary cannot replace: your benchmarks with their method, your real limits, your customers' use cases.
Block training if you want, but keep search access. OpenAI documents separate crawlers: OAI-SearchBot surfaces websites in ChatGPT's search results, while GPTBot gathers content for model training, and each setting is independent. A robots.txt that blocks GPTBot but allows OAI-SearchBot keeps your pages eligible for ChatGPT answers. Check the rules of your docs and app subdomains as well as the main site, with our guide to robots.txt and AI crawlers.
Our method for keyword research for AI answers turns these searches into prompts worth tracking.
Dated facts, stated in sentences an assistant can lift. Open each section with the answer, give the version, price and limits as of the publication date, say what the product does not do, and describe the method behind any benchmark. Add a screenshot of the feature and a link to the docs. Opinion has its place too: thought leadership earns links when it brings a view nobody else has published.

Sorank handles keyword research, the articles and their internal links, the publishing calendar, the monthly tracking per model, backlinks from other Sorank users' sites and a dashboard that puts Search Console next to AI visits.
Your team keeps the sources only it can write: documentation, changelog, pricing page, security and data pages, model cards, and the presence on GitHub, Reddit or Hugging Face where developers compare tools. If you sell a SaaS with AI features rather than an AI product, the SaaS page fits better; pre-launch teams should start with the startups page, and data platforms will find their angle on the data analytics page.
Sorank starts at $49 a month per site on a yearly plan, or $99 month to month, with 20 articles and 10 tracked prompts. Pro ($129 yearly or $249 monthly) publishes 60 articles and adds Grok; Business ($249 or $499) publishes 120 (see pricing). The first 3 days are free.
Google gives no fixed delay. New articles usually appear in Search Console impressions before they earn clicks, and AI answers move as the models refresh their sources, sooner for the assistants that search the web live. Review your prompts after three months of publishing, one model at a time.
Make your facts easy to find and identical everywhere: use-case and comparison articles on your site, current docs and pricing, review profiles and the forums developers read. Then track the prompts of your category every month to see whether ChatGPT names you and which pages it quotes.
Publish the current facts on pages the assistants can fetch: a dated pricing page, release explainers, an up-to-date comparison. Answers that search the web pick them up first; answers drawn from training data change only when the model is updated.
Google says its Search does not use llms.txt and that the file neither helps nor harms rankings there. Other services may read it, so keeping one does no harm, but it never replaces clear pages.
That is a decision about training. OpenAI lets you block GPTBot and still allow OAI-SearchBot, the crawler behind ChatGPT search results, so your pages remain eligible to be cited.
From $49 a month per site on a yearly plan, or $99 month to month, with 20 articles a month and 10 tracked prompts. Pro and Business add articles, prompts and Grok, and every plan starts with a 3-day free trial.
Nobody can promise a date. New articles usually show in Search Console impressions before they earn clicks, and AI answers follow when the assistants fetch fresh sources. Judge the results after three months, model by model.
We don't. Sorank isn't trying to be another Semrush or Ahrefs. Those tools are built for data, Sorank is built to do the work. Instead of more dashboards to check, it turns SEO and GEO insights into actions: articles written and published, backlinks earned, technical fixes and AI visibility tracking. Less complexity, more results.
From $49/month per website on a yearly plan, with a 3-day free trial and a 90-day money-back guarantee (conditions apply). Every plan includes articles, AI visibility tracking and access to natural backlink acquisition; higher plans add more articles, more AI prompts tracked and more backlinks. No setup fees, no paying for seats you don't use.
You shouldn't need a full marketing team or expensive tools to grow. Sorank handles your entire SEO and AI visibility, so you save time and money.
