Commercial real estate SEO helps a brokerage or investment firm get found by the tenant who searches "how much office space per employee", the owner who asks "NNN or gross lease" and the investor who asks ChatGPT which firms know a given market. Sorank publishes the answers on your site, then tracks the firms AI assistants name.
Listing portals will keep the "office space for lease" searches. The questions asked before and after them are still open to you.

Marketplaces such as LoopNet and Crexi are built for inventory. They leave room for "how to negotiate a tenant improvement allowance", "industrial clear height requirements" and "cap rates for retail strip centers". Sorank finds these searches by property type and audience, and scores each one for intent and difficulty.
Open any topic in Sorank keyword research and pick the ones worth an article.
When a CFO asks ChatGPT for "the best tenant rep firm in Dallas", the names come from somewhere: portals, press, firm websites, directories. Each month, Sorank records those answers in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini (Grok from the Pro plan) and lists the websites they cite.
That list tells you where to be mentioned next. The method is in GEO optimization.

A lease signed next year may start with an article read today. Sorank lays out your Search Console pages by clicks and trend, with the articles it wrote flagged, so you can tell which property types and audiences are gaining ground long before a deal closes.
WordPress, Webflow, Wix or a custom site linked to your listing feed: Sorank publishes alongside your listings through a direct connection or webhook, and leaves the feed itself alone.
Office, industrial, retail, multifamily investment; tenants, owners, investors; the metro areas and submarkets you know. Sorank builds a topic plan per combination, then you drop whatever falls outside your practice.
Give Sorank standing instructions on your view of each market, and keep articles as drafts if a broker should add local rents or vacancy figures. Approved pieces go out on your schedule.

Commercial real estate SEO is the work of making a brokerage, investment or advisory firm visible on Google and in AI assistants to tenants, owners and investors. A single client can be worth years of fees, and that person is rarely searching casually: decisions involve finance, operations and legal, and they take months.
It differs from homes. Agents selling houses should read SEO for real estate agents, which deals with fair housing rules on neighborhood content. Managers of buildings have property management SEO, and builders pursuing owners have commercial construction SEO. This page is about advising on and transacting commercial space.
On raw inventory searches, rarely, and it is not the best use of your budget. Broad terms such as "office space for lease in Chicago" tend to go to marketplaces that hold thousands of listings. Keep your listings syndicated there, then compete where a portal has little to say: lease negotiation, build-out budgets, zoning questions, market commentary and the reasons one submarket suits a tenant better than another.
Those answers also carry your name into the conversation long before a tour is booked. Our guide to local keyword research helps you find the specific neighborhoods and corridors people use.
They describe the requirement and ask for names, usually with a city attached. The assistant then draws on portals, business press, review sites and firm pages. In our real estate AI citation study, 7610 answers were measured between April and August 2026: Trustpilot leads at 4.5%, ahead of YouTube at 1.06% and the French classifieds site Leboncoin at 0.84%, while LinkedIn stands at 0.46%. The study covers real estate as a whole, in a panel asked mostly in French, so treat it as a direction: reputation platforms weigh more than social networks, and even the leader appears in fewer than 5 answers out of 100.
A firm therefore gains from being described the same way in many places. See our guides on AI Overviews and brand authority.

Separate them by the person typing and the stage of the decision:
Sorank builds this list from your site and your rivals, and you remove what falls outside your practice.
A precise definition, a source, and a named professional. Use the industry's terms the way its bodies define them. The National Association of Realtors explains lease types, noting that a triple net tenant pays a share of property taxes, insurance and common area maintenance. BOMA describes A, B and C as a subjective quality rating and does not recommend publishing a class for an individual property, which is worth remembering before calling a building "Class A" in your copy.
Add a date and your own local figures: rents and vacancy go stale quickly, and Sorank does not hold your proprietary data. Publish key offering points as plain web text too, since a gated PDF gives Google and assistants little to read (see PDF SEO).
Wherever a reader could act on it with money at stake. Under IRS guidance, Section 1031 exchanges now apply only to real property, and property held primarily for sale does not qualify, so explain the rule and send readers to a tax adviser. On accessibility, the ADA guidance says a lease can divide duties, yet landlord and tenant both remain fully liable for a place of public accommodation.
Never promise returns, and check your licensing and marketing rules with your broker of record. Draft mode lets a licensed colleague or counsel read each piece before it appears.
Sorank proposes topics, writes and publishes sourced articles with internal links, follows AI answers each month and shows Search Console, Analytics and AI visits together. It also earns backlinks between Sorank customer sites through its natural backlink acquisition.
Your firm keeps property listings, market and city pages, portal subscriptions, offering memoranda, Google Business Profile, reviews and broker biographies. If you build your own market pages, read our guide to local landing pages first. On WordPress, the Sorank connection handles the articles.
One site costs $49 a month on the annual Essential plan ($99 without commitment), with 20 articles a month. A firm covering several asset classes may prefer Pro, with 60 articles for $129 annually or $249 monthly, or Business, with 120 for $249 or $499 (see the pricing page). The first 3 days are free. Expect no fixed ranking date: impressions normally build for months before clicks follow, and a closed deal can come much later. Read progress by asset class each quarter, and ask every new enquiry what they read first.
Keep listings on the portals, then rank your own site for questions they do not answer: lease terms, costs, submarkets and investment basics. Link every article to a service page and a contact form.
They do different jobs. Portals put a specific property before active searchers; articles build your firm's visibility with tenants and investors earlier in the decision. Most firms benefit from keeping both, and Sorank handles only the articles.

Describe your property types and markets the same way on your site, broker profiles and third-party pages, and publish useful market explanations. Sorank tracks each month whether ChatGPT names you and which sites it cites.

We don't. Sorank isn't trying to be another Semrush or Ahrefs. Those tools are built for data, Sorank is built to do the work. Instead of more dashboards to check, it turns SEO and GEO insights into actions: articles written and published, backlinks earned, technical fixes and AI visibility tracking. Less complexity, more results.
From $49/month per website on a yearly plan, with a 3-day free trial and a 90-day money-back guarantee (conditions apply).
