SEO for mortgage brokers is how a brokerage gets found while a borrower is still deciding between a bank and a broker: they type "mortgage broker vs bank", "how do mortgage brokers get paid" or "can I get a mortgage if I am self-employed", and more of them now ask ChatGPT the same thing. Sorank finds these questions for each loan program you arrange, writes sourced explainers that wait as drafts for your compliance review, and reports every month which brokers the AI assistants name.
Rates, quotes and pre-approvals stay with your loan officers: the articles explain, then send the reader to you.

"FHA or conventional loan for a first home", "how many bank statements for a self-employed mortgage", "remortgage when my fixed rate ends": each program a broker arranges brings its own questions. Sorank sorts them into silos, one per program or borrower profile (first-time buyers, self-employed, investors, refinancing), with the intent, difficulty and monthly volume of each search, so two articles never chase the same query.
The silos are built and kept current by the topical cluster generator.
A mortgage article can slip in one word: a "fixed" rate that lasts two years, a rate printed without its APR, a program that sounds government-backed when it is not. Write your rules once in the default instructions (no rate quoted, NMLS ID under every article, a link to your licensing page, the disclosure your compliance team requires) and every article starts from them. With drafts mode on, each piece waits on your website until your compliance contact approves it.
Instructions and tone are set in Brand Voice, drafts and scores in the article generator.

"Best mortgage broker for self-employed borrowers in Phoenix", "broker or my own bank for a refinance", "is a mortgage broker worth it for a first-time buyer": Sorank asks the questions you track every month and stores each answer as the borrower reads it, with your brokerage highlighted when it appears, the web searches the model ran first and the websites it relied on.
Answers, sources and mentions for each tracked question sit in AI mention tracking.
WordPress, Webflow, Wix, or the site hosted by your marketing vendor through a webhook. Sorank then reads Search Console and Analytics to see which program pages and which towns already bring borrowers.
List the loans you arrange, the states or regions where you hold a license, and the phrases your compliance team requires or forbids. Sorank proposes the borrower questions of each program, ranked by volume and by how close they sit to an application.
Each article arrives as a draft with its sources listed. Once approved, it goes live on the day you picked, linked to the matching program page and to your application or appointment page.

SEO for mortgage brokers is the work that makes a brokerage, and each loan officer in it, visible while a borrower works out how to finance a home: in the local results, in the ordinary Google results and in the answers of assistants such as ChatGPT. The CFPB puts the difference with a lender in one line: "A broker does not lend money." The broker finds lenders and loans for the borrower and is paid a fee for that service. Most borrowers do not know this, which makes the role itself your first subject.
This page is written for brokers and brokerages. Banks with branches, direct lenders and wealth advisers answer other searches, covered on our pages for banks, lenders and financial advisors.
They check before they call. A name heard from a real estate agent or a friend gets searched with "reviews", then with "license", then read through two or three explainers. Google's "People also ask" box on this topic includes "How to make sure a mortgage broker is legit?", and the CFPB answers it with a free lookup run by the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System, which shows whether a company or a loan officer is authorized in a given state. A site that prints the NMLS ID of the brokerage and of each loan officer, and links to that lookup, settles the question early.
AI assistants then shorten the list. In our real estate AI citation study, built on 7610 answers measured between April and August 2026, Trustpilot is cited 1.7 times more often than across our whole panel (4.5% of answers against 2.7%), and the first source of Perplexity is YouTube, at 2.03%. Reviews and plain video explanations count in this sector, and so do clear pages on your own site that a model can quote line by line (see how to rank in ChatGPT).

In the United States, an article on a broker's website is a commercial communication. Regulation N, the CFPB rule on mortgage advertising, makes any material misrepresentation of a mortgage term a violation, and its list of prohibited representations (12 CFR 1014.3) names the annual percentage rate or any other rate, the variability of the rate or the payments (the rule names misuse of the word "fixed"), any suggested link with a government program, and whether a consumer has been preapproved. Advertising a rate or a payment also brings the disclosures of Regulation Z, the Truth in Lending rule, which our page for lenders details.
In the United Kingdom, MCOB 3A.5 of the FCA Handbook applies as soon as a promotion indicates an interest rate or any figure on the cost: the APRC must appear at least as prominently as any interest rate, inside a representative example that the firm reasonably expects at least 51% of the customers concerned to get or beat.
The safest editorial line is to quote no rate at all. Sorank explains how rates are set and what moves them, then sends the reader to your rate page or your quote form. These are "Your Money or Your Life" subjects, where Google looks hardest at expertise and trust (see YMYL), and with drafts mode on, nothing goes live before someone at the brokerage signs it off.
Our guide to question keywords shows how to mine your own client emails and calls for more.
A direct answer in the first two sentences, then what the borrower will be asked for: income documents, the down payment, the reserves a lender may want and how long each step usually takes. No rate, no monthly payment and no approval promise in the body; a link to your quote form instead. Below the text, the name and NMLS ID of the loan officer who reviewed it, the date of that review, a link to the regulator page behind each rule, and a short FAQ. Loan limits and program rules are revised regularly, so plan a yearly review of every program guide (see content freshness).
Sorank handles keyword research by program and region, sourced articles with images and internal links, publishing on WordPress, Webflow, Wix or any site through a webhook, backlinks from the sites of other Sorank customers, a monthly check of the AI answers, and Search Console, Analytics and AI visits in one dashboard. It is software: it gives borrowers no advice, quotes no rate and never sees a loan file.
Everything that needs a license or a signature stays with you: compliance approval, rates and quotes, pre-approvals, the Google Business Profile of the office and of each loan officer, the reviews and your replies (see how to respond to Google reviews), and the relationships with the agents who send you buyers. Our page for real estate agents shows what they publish on their side.
One website, one plan. On annual billing, Essential costs $49 a month for 20 articles and 10 tracked prompts; Pro costs $129 for 60 articles and 20 prompts and adds Grok to ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini; Business costs $249 for 120 articles and 50 prompts. Without a yearly commitment, the three plans cost $99, $249 and $499 (see pricing). You start with a 3-day free trial, and every plan carries a 90-day results-or-refund guarantee. Loan officer pages hosted on the brokerage domain are covered by its plan; a personal site on another domain needs its own.
No one can promise a date. A corrected Business Profile can show within weeks; an article usually collects impressions in Search Console for a few months before it earns steady clicks, and generic rate searches held by national comparison sites take far longer. Review each program every quarter and compare it with the same quarter a year earlier, since mortgage demand follows the buying season and the level of interest rates.
Yes. With drafts mode on, each article waits on your website until someone at the brokerage approves or edits it. Fixed wording, such as your NMLS ID or a rule never to quote a rate, is written once in the default instructions.
No. The profile of the office and of each loan officer, its hours and its reviews stay with your brokerage. Sorank publishes the articles that link to your pages and tracks how the AI assistants describe you.
Give the assistants pages they can trust: clear explainers on fees, programs and closing steps, your NMLS ID in plain view, and recent reviews where borrowers read them. Then check every month in Sorank whether ChatGPT names your brokerage and which sources it cites.
Start with the questions about the role and its cost, such as "mortgage broker vs bank" and how brokers are paid, then add one guide per program you arrange and the profiles you serve best, such as self-employed borrowers. Local searches depend first on your Business Profile.
Essential costs $49 a month per website when billed yearly, or $99 month to month, and the first 3 days are free. Pro and Business publish 60 and 120 articles a month for brokerages with many programs or regions.
Count in quarters, not weeks. Business Profile fixes can show within weeks, while articles need a few months of impressions before steady clicks. Compare each program with the same quarter of the previous year, as demand moves with rates and the buying season.
We don't. Sorank isn't trying to be another Semrush or Ahrefs. Those tools are built for data, Sorank is built to do the work. Instead of more dashboards to check, it turns SEO and GEO insights into actions: articles written and published, backlinks earned, technical fixes and AI visibility tracking. Less complexity, more results.
From $49/month per website on a yearly plan, with a 3-day free trial and a 90-day money-back guarantee (conditions apply). Every plan includes articles, AI visibility tracking and access to natural backlink acquisition; higher plans add more articles, more AI prompts tracked and more backlinks. No setup fees, no paying for seats you don't use.
You shouldn't need a full marketing team or expensive tools to grow. Sorank handles your entire SEO and AI visibility, so you save time and money.
