SEO for cruise lines is how a cruise company gets found when a traveler types "best cruises for families", "Alaska cruise in June" or "what is included in a cruise fare", and when they ask ChatGPT which line suits a first cruise. Comparison sites and agencies win the broad searches; the line that explains its own ships, routes and fares in full gets quoted on the precise ones. Sorank finds those questions for every itinerary you sell, publishes the answers on your site and tracks which cruise lines the AI assistants name.

"Alaska cruise in June or August", "which Alaska cruises go to Glacier Bay", "best Alaska itinerary for a first cruise": a traveler reads many pages before choosing a sailing. Sorank groups the searches of each region you sail into a pillar topic and its supporting articles, ranked by priority, so every port, cabin and excursion question gets its own page linked to the right itinerary.
The clusters come from the topical cluster generator.
Ask ChatGPT "best cruise line for families with toddlers" or Gemini "small ship cruise to the Norwegian fjords in May" and the answer names a few lines, often next to review platforms. Sorank filters the ranking of cited domains model by model, so you see whether a rival line leads in ChatGPT while you lead in Gemini, and you can spy on its keywords.

Agencies and comparison sites will keep selling cabins, and your line needs them. What you can grow is the share of travelers who reach your own pages. Sorank connects Analytics and Search Console and separates the visits that come from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Grok, so you see which itinerary and fare guides bring them.
Everything sits in the GEO / SEO dashboard.
WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Wix, or a custom booking engine through a webhook: the connection takes a few minutes. Sorank reads Search Console to see which itineraries and ports already bring visitors.
Your fleet, the regions you sail (Caribbean, Alaska, Mediterranean, Norwegian fjords, rivers), the departure ports and the months of each season. Sorank proposes the traveler questions for each, from cabin choice to shore excursions.
Many lines run their biggest offers in the first months of the year. Sorank publishes on the dates you choose, well before that peak, and links each guide to the matching sailing and its booking page.

SEO for cruise lines is the work that makes a cruise company appear while travelers plan: in Google results and in the answers of AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Gemini. It rests on pages for each itinerary, ship and cabin category, guides that answer planning questions, and review profiles that confirm what the site says.
A line sells its own sailings, which sets it apart from the businesses that resell or promote them. Our pages for travel agencies, tour operators and destination marketing organizations cover their side of the same trip.
Mostly its own distribution. Agencies, comparison sites, review platforms and cruise forums rank for "cheap Caribbean cruise" or "best cruise deals". The 2026 State of the Cruise Industry report from CLIA, the cruise lines association, counts 37.2 million ocean cruisers in 2025, and its December 2025 survey finds that 63% of those who cruised in the previous 12 months used a travel advisor to book.
So the goal is not to beat advisors. It is to own the questions only the line can answer in full: what this ship offers children, what this fare includes, which deck is quieter, how long the call in Juneau lasts. An advisor can send that page to a client, and an AI assistant can quote it.
They describe the trip and get a short list of lines and sailings, built from a few sources. In our travel AI citation study, TripAdvisor is the leading source for every model measured: 16.51% of Gemini answers, 12.21% for ChatGPT and 10.87% for Perplexity. The top three sources hold 82% of the citations counted, and TripAdvisor itself moved from 16.17% in May 2026 to 9.56% in August 2026, so a ranking older than a quarter says little.
Two jobs follow. Keep your review profiles complete and answered (our TripAdvisor citation study shows where the platform weighs most). Then publish what a profile cannot hold: itinerary details, fare rules, cabin plans, port times. Assistants run several searches before answering, a process called query fanout, and each one is a chance for your page to be read.

Group them by region in a topic cluster, so each itinerary page is surrounded by the questions that lead to it.
Facts a traveler can check before booking. For Alaska, say which sailings enter Glacier Bay: the US National Park Service warns visitors that "many Alaskan cruise offerings do not visit Glacier Bay National Park". For each port, give the time alongside, whether the ship docks or tenders, the distance to town and the excursions with their length and level of effort. Excursions matter: in the CLIA survey, 7 out of 10 cruisers went on at least one.
Family pages need the details parents check: minimum ages for kids' clubs, cabins that sleep four, documents for children, health and safety. In the United States, the CDC's Vessel Sanitation Program publishes cruise ship inspection scores and reports; elsewhere, check which authority inspects your ships and what it makes public. Prices and inclusions change each season, so date every guide and keep it current (see content freshness).
Sorank handles keyword research by region, ship and traveler type, the guides and their internal links, publication on WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Wix or through a webhook, the monthly tracking of ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini and your Search Console data in one dashboard.
Your line keeps fares and availability, the booking engine, review profiles and replies, the trade portal and relations with travel advisors, brochures, and the legal terms of each fare. Sorank writes from the facts you provide and keeps articles as drafts if your team wants to check prices before they go live.
Sorank Essential is $49 a month per website billed yearly, or $99 paid monthly, with 20 articles and 10 AI prompts tracked a month: enough for a small expedition or river line. A fleet with many regions will need Pro, with 60 articles and Grok tracking for $129 a month billed yearly or $249 monthly, or Business, with 120 articles for $249 billed yearly or $499 monthly (see pricing). The first 3 days are free, and every plan carries a 90-day results-or-refund guarantee.
Several months, which suits a product booked long in advance. Publish a region's guides before its booking peak, refresh fares and dates each season, and judge each itinerary after three months on its Search Console impressions and clicks and on the AI visits shown in Sorank. Our guide on ranking in Gemini covers the assistant that leans most on TripAdvisor in travel.
On broad deal searches, rarely. On questions about your own ships, itineraries, fares and ports, yes: you hold the most precise answer, and comparison pages cannot match it.
Keep your review profiles complete and answered, publish detailed itinerary, fare and cabin pages, and describe your ships the same way everywhere. Sorank then checks every month whether ChatGPT names your line and which sources it quotes.
No. Review profiles, replies and the relations with travel advisors stay with your team. Sorank writes and publishes your website content and tracks the AI answers.
Yes. You set a publish date for each topic, so the guides for a region go live months before its booking peak, and you can refresh fares and dates each season.
