Addiction treatment SEO is how a treatment center gets found by the person who types "alcohol detox near me" in the middle of the night, or by the parent who asks ChatGPT how residential and outpatient programs differ. These searches happen at a fragile moment, and paid ads for rehab are tightly restricted. Sorank publishes plain, sourced answers to these questions on your website, in the tone your clinical team sets, and checks every month which centers the AI assistants name.
Every article can wait as a draft until a licensed clinician on your team has read and approved it.

"How long does alcohol detox take?", "inpatient or outpatient rehab?", "does my insurance cover rehab?": people often research for days before they pick up the phone, and many are searching for a son, a partner or a parent rather than for themselves. Sorank finds these questions for each level of care you offer, from detox to aftercare, with their monthly volume and intent, and turns them into a publishing plan that never gives two articles the same search.
The plan is built in keyword research, program by program.
A mother asks ChatGPT "how do I find a good rehab for my son in Ohio", a man asks Gemini "is medication for opioid use disorder safe long term". The answer names a handful of centers or points to a helpline. Each month, Sorank sends the questions you choose to the AI assistants and records whether your center appears, how it is described and which pages the answer relied on, so an outdated fact can be corrected where it comes from.
Your tracked questions sit in AI prompt research.

A wrong sentence about withdrawal or medication can put a reader at risk. Sorank opens each article with a direct answer, cites its sources, ends with a FAQ and scores the whole piece before it goes live. Your standing instructions carry your house rules: person-first language, no success rates, official sources such as NIDA or SAMHSA, a crisis line at the end of every article.
Write those rules once in brand voice.
WordPress, Webflow, Wix or a site run by your marketing agency through a webhook. Sorank reads Search Console and Analytics to see which program pages already bring visits.
Levels of care, substances treated, accreditations, insurance accepted, and what you do not offer. Sorank turns this brief into questions to answer and your rules into writing instructions.
Articles reach your clinical director as drafts, or go live on the days you choose. Each one links to the matching program page and to your admissions line.

Addiction treatment SEO, often called drug rehab SEO, is the work that makes a treatment center visible to people looking for help: on Google Maps, in ordinary search results and in what AI assistants answer. It has three parts: accurate listings (your Business Profile, the directories families use), a clear page for each program, and articles that answer the questions asked before admission.
The audience is unusual. The reader may be the person who needs care, frightened and unsure, or a relative who has been searching for weeks. Both need facts, not slogans.
Because paid search is closed to many centers. Google's healthcare and medicines policy restricts the promotion of recovery-oriented drug and alcohol addiction services. In the United States, an advertiser must be certified as an addiction services provider by LegitScript, and Google states that not all addiction services are eligible; Canada also requires LegitScript certification. In Australia, France, Ireland and New Zealand, only government entities may promote these services, and Google certification comes on top in every case.
A center that cannot advertise, or is still waiting for its certification, depends on the pages it publishes and on what other sites say about it.
On Google, they compare the local results first: distance, hours, reviews, the levels of care listed. Then they read program pages to check three things: whether the center treats their situation, whether it takes their insurance, and how admission works.
AI assistants read more widely. In our healthcare AI citation study, 8248 answers measured from May to August 2026 drew on a scattered set of sources: Microsoft appears in 1.05% of health answers, Facebook in 0.67%. No single profile decides the answer, so a center needs the same facts on its site, its listings and its social pages. Our guide on how to rank in ChatGPT details the method.
Person-first words. The National Institute on Drug Abuse, in its Words Matter guide, recommends "person with a substance use disorder" instead of "addict", and "testing negative" instead of "clean", because feeling stigmatized can make people less willing to seek treatment.
This creates a real tension for SEO, since many people still type the stigmatized word. Write the page in person-first language, and let a search phrase appear once, in a neutral sentence, where it helps the reader recognize the question. Sorank applies the vocabulary rules you set for every article.
A cure, a guaranteed outcome or a success rate you cannot document. In the United States, the Opioid Addiction Recovery Fraud Prevention Act lets the Federal Trade Commission seek civil penalties for unfair or deceptive practices around substance use disorder treatment, referrals to treatment and recovery housing.
Honest content also matches the science: NIDA describes substance use disorders as treatable chronic medical conditions from which people can recover, and notes that a return to use is often part of the recovery process. Say so plainly. Publish a patient story only with written consent, and never with details that could identify someone. Health pages fall under Google's Your Money or Your Life standard.
Our guides on question keywords and local keyword research explain how to find the exact wording people use.
A direct answer in the first lines; the name and credentials of the clinician who reviewed it, with the review date; links to official sources; and, at the end, where to get help now. In the United States that means 988 for a crisis and SAMHSA's National Helpline, 1-800-662-HELP (4357), which refers callers to local treatment facilities, support groups and community organizations. Then a link to your admissions page. Our guide to fact-checking AI content gives a review routine for your team.

Sorank handles the keyword plan by program, the articles and their internal links, publication on your site, the monthly reading of the AI answers in AI mention tracking, and your Search Console and Analytics data in the GEO and SEO dashboard. It works from search data and your site brief, never from patient records.
Your center keeps the clinical review, the Google Business Profile and its reviews, your directory listings, any LegitScript and Google Ads certification, admissions and your location pages. Counseling practices will find a closer fit on our page for therapists; outpatient practices and hospital groups on our pages for medical clinics and healthcare.
Sorank starts at $49 a month per website, billed yearly ($99 without commitment), for 20 articles a month and monthly tracking in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. Pro, at $129 a month yearly or $249 monthly, adds Grok and raises output to 60 articles; Business brings 120. The first 3 days are on us (pricing).
Expect months, not weeks. A new article shows impressions in Search Console before it earns clicks; judge each program after three months of publishing, on its impressions, clicks and calls to admissions.
Not entirely, but it matters more here than in most fields. Google restricts ads for addiction services and requires certification where they are allowed, so articles and accurate listings are often the main way a center is found.
No. Your profile, your reviews, your ads and any certification stay with your team. Sorank writes and publishes articles on your website, tracks the AI answers and brings your Search Console data into one dashboard.
Yes. Articles can be published as drafts on your site, so a licensed clinician reads, edits and approves each one before it goes live.
Keep the same accurate facts everywhere: your site, your Business Profile, directories and social pages. Publish clear answers about your programs, insurance and admissions, then check every month whether ChatGPT mentions your center and which sources it uses.
Start with your levels of care combined with your city, then the comparison questions ("inpatient vs outpatient") and the questions families ask. Leave withdrawal and medication topics for articles your physician can review.
Count on several months before articles bring steady visits. Sorank publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Wix and Shopify, and to any other site through a webhook.
We don't. Sorank isn't trying to be another Semrush or Ahrefs. Those tools are built for data, Sorank is built to do the work. Instead of more dashboards to check, it turns SEO and GEO insights into actions: articles written and published, backlinks earned, technical fixes and AI visibility tracking. Less complexity, more results.
From $49/month per website on a yearly plan, with a 3-day free trial and a 90-day money-back guarantee (conditions apply). Every plan includes articles, AI visibility tracking and access to natural backlink acquisition; higher plans add more articles, more AI prompts tracked and more backlinks. No setup fees, no paying for seats you don't use.
You shouldn't need a full marketing team or expensive tools to grow. Sorank handles your entire SEO and AI visibility, so you save time and money.
