SEO for wellness retreats is how a retreat center, a thermal resort or a destination spa gets found by guests who plan their stay weeks or months ahead: "yoga retreat in Portugal in May", "burnout retreat for women", "silent retreat for beginners", or a question to ChatGPT about where to rest for a week without a phone. Sorank finds these searches for each program and season you sell, publishes the answers on your site with your dates and what each stay includes, and tracks which retreats the AI assistants recommend.
The articles follow your booking calendar and go out on autopilot.

"Detox retreat what to expect", "best month for a yoga retreat in Bali", "hot springs spa weekend near Denver": a guest compares programs, places and seasons long before choosing dates. Sorank groups these searches by program and sorts them by difficulty, so a small retreat starts with the ones it can win, then turns those you tick into articles.
The list comes from keyword research on your Search Console data and on the sites that rank in your destination.
"Which wellness retreats in Tuscany are worth the price?", "a spa hotel with thermal baths for a quiet weekend": ChatGPT and Gemini answer with a short list built from review platforms, travel magazines, forums and a few retreat websites. Sorank asks the questions you track every month, shows whether your retreat is named, which sites the assistants cite when they mention you and the searches they run before answering.
Follow it in AI Mention Tracking.

Retreat searches rise and fall with the calendar: New Year resets, spring yoga weeks, autumn detox stays. Sorank lists your pages by Google clicks, with the articles it wrote tagged, and sorts them into Popular, Growing, Declining and Lost, so you refresh a program page before its season instead of after it.
The view lives in the GEO / SEO Dashboard, next to your AI visits.
WordPress, Wix, Webflow or Shopify, or a site run by a booking platform and linked through a webhook. Sorank reads your Search Console data to see which programs, places and months already bring visits.
Yoga weeks, fasting or detox stays, burnout and sleep programs, thermal circuits, with their dates, what each price includes and who leads them. Add your writing rules, such as no medical claim and no promise of weight loss, and Sorank proposes the guest questions for each program.
Sorank schedules the articles weeks before the dates they support, links each one to its program page and booking form, and can hold them as drafts until your team has checked prices and dates.

SEO for wellness retreats is the work that makes a retreat center, a destination spa or a thermal resort visible while guests plan a stay: in Google's results, on Google Maps and in the answers of AI assistants. Unlike a day spa or a hotel, a retreat sells a program, on fixed dates or for a set number of nights, so it has to rank for the program, the place and the season at the same time.
These guests are worth the effort. According to the Global Wellness Institute, international wellness tourists spent $1764 per trip on average in 2022, 41% more than the typical international tourist, and domestic wellness travelers spent 175% more than the average domestic tourist. They read a lot before they book. Neighboring businesses compete on other searches: see our pages for day spas, hotels and med spas.
They start with a need and a place, and they finish with a date. A guest who searches "burnout retreat" wants to know what the days look like, who leads the sessions, whether she can come alone, what the room is like and what the full price covers. On Google, your program page competes with retreat directories and booking platforms, and it wins when it says more than their listing does.
AI assistants lean on reviews in this sector, and their sources move fast. In our wellness AI citation study, Trustpilot, the most cited platform, fell from 9.6% of answers in May 2026 to 1.16% in August, while Instagram is cited 1.7 times more often than across all sectors. A source can rise or vanish within one season: track your questions model by model, and keep your reviews, profiles and program pages consistent with each other. Our guide to review sites and AI recommendations shows which platforms count.

Our guide to seasonal SEO explains how to plan, publish and update dated pages.
Everything a guest needs to say yes without writing to you first: the dates and length, a sample day hour by hour, who leads each session and their training, the food, the rooms and whether they are shared, the fitness level expected, how to get there from the nearest airport or station, the total price per person with what it includes, the deposit and the cancellation terms. Add a short FAQ and recent reviews, and link the page from every article about that program.
The way you show prices can be regulated. In the United States, the Federal Trade Commission's rule on hotel and ticket fees, in force since May 12, 2025, requires businesses that advertise a price for hotel stays or vacation rentals to show the total price, all mandatory fees included, more prominently than other pricing. A retreat that sells nights should treat a "wellness fee" or a "resort fee" the same way.
Two kinds come up often. The first concerns packages: in the European Union, accommodation sold with another tourist service, such as a guided program, forms a package when that service accounts for 25% or more of the value of the trip or is an essential feature of it, according to the Your Europe guide to package travel. The organizer then gives the total price, taxes and fees included, before the booking, and holds insolvency protection. Check your own case with an adviser before writing "all inclusive".
The second concerns health. A retreat can help guests rest, move and eat better, but words such as "detox", "cure" or "heal" are claims you would have to prove. Describe what happens during the stay, who supervises it and who should ask a doctor first, and leave diagnosis and treatment to health professionals. The same honesty answers a frequent guest question: in the United States, the IRS states in Publication 502 that a trip taken merely for a change in environment, improvement of morale or general improvement of health is not a deductible medical expense, even on a doctor's advice.
Sorank handles keyword research by program, place and season, the articles with their sources and internal links, publication on your calendar, backlinks from other Sorank customer sites, the monthly report on AI answers and your Search Console and Analytics data, visits from AI assistants included, in one dashboard.
Your team keeps the Google Business Profile, the reviews and your replies (see how to get more Google reviews), your listings on retreat directories and booking platforms, the booking engine, prices and availability, photos and videos, and the health screening of guests when a program requires it. Sorank publishes on your own website, not on those platforms.
A retreat with one website pays $49 a month on Sorank's Essential plan billed yearly, or $99 month to month, for 20 articles a month and 10 AI prompts tracked in ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. A group with several venues on separate websites takes one plan per site. Pro, at $129 a month yearly or $249 monthly, publishes 60 articles and adds Grok; Business publishes 120 for $249 yearly or $499 monthly. A 3-day free trial opens each plan, and each one carries the 90-day results-or-refund guarantee (pricing).
Plan one season ahead. Google gives no fixed delay: a new article earns impressions first, then clicks, and guests book weeks or months before they travel. Publish the articles for a season three to six months before its first dates, then judge them on the impressions, clicks and booking requests of the following season.
Count one season. Articles gain impressions within weeks of being indexed and clicks over several months, and guests book well ahead, so publish three to six months before the dates you want to fill.
$49 a month per website billed yearly, or $99 month to month, for 20 articles and 10 tracked AI prompts, after a 3-day free trial. Pro and Business publish 60 and 120 articles a month for venues with many programs.
No. Your profile, your reviews, your directory and booking listings, prices and availability stay with your team. Sorank writes and publishes articles on your own website and checks what the AI assistants say about you.
Give it facts it can repeat: detailed program pages, the same name, place and prices on your site and your listings, and recent reviews. Sorank then checks every month whether ChatGPT names your retreat, and which sources it relies on.
Prices vary with the length of stay, the place, the room and what is included, so an average tells a guest little. Publish your own price per person, what it covers and what it leaves out: that page answers the question better than any average.
Yes. Sorank publishes on WordPress, Wix, Webflow and Shopify, and on other sites through a webhook. Your booking engine stays as it is: each article links to the right program page and booking form.
We don't. Sorank isn't trying to be another Semrush or Ahrefs. Those tools are built for data, Sorank is built to do the work. Instead of more dashboards to check, it turns SEO and GEO insights into actions: articles written and published, backlinks earned, technical fixes and AI visibility tracking. Less complexity, more results.
From $49/month per website on a yearly plan, with a 3-day free trial and a 90-day money-back guarantee (conditions apply). Every plan includes articles, AI visibility tracking and access to natural backlink acquisition; higher plans add more articles, more AI prompts tracked and more backlinks. No setup fees, no paying for seats you don't use.
You shouldn't need a full marketing team or expensive tools to grow. Sorank handles your entire SEO and AI visibility, so you save time and money.
