SEO for consulting firms is how a firm gets on the shortlist when a chief operating officer searches "post-merger integration checklist", or asks ChatGPT which consultants know mid-size manufacturers. Sorank does the publishing work your partners never find time for: it finds the problems your buyers research, writes an article for each practice in your firm's voice, and tracks which firms the AI assistants name in your field.
Every article can wait as a draft until the partner who signs it has read it.

"How to reduce operating costs without layoffs", "post-merger integration checklist", "operating model for a company that doubled in size": executives search for the problem months before they search for a firm. Sorank finds these searches for each practice and sector you serve, with their volume and difficulty, and turns them into a plan where every article points to the matching service page.
You can also ask for them in plain words in SEO Chat, for example "find keywords on our supply chain practice".
"Which consulting firms work with private equity portfolio companies?", "best operations consultants for a logistics company": the answer names three or four firms, and a buying committee often starts from that list. Every month, Sorank asks the questions you track to ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini (plus Grok from the Pro plan), shows whether your firm is named and records the searches each assistant runs before it answers.
Those hidden searches are ranked in AI query fan-out, so you know which topics to cover next.

Consulting content is judged on judgment, not on volume. Sorank writes each article with cited sources, your firm's vocabulary and a clear structure, then keeps it as a draft on your website when a partner wants to add a lesson from the field or remove a detail that could identify a client.
The score, the draft and the publish buttons sit in the blog article generator.
WordPress, Webflow, Wix or a custom site through a webhook: the connection takes a few minutes. Sorank then reads your Search Console data to see which practices and insight pages already bring visits.
Add each practice, such as strategy, operations, finance transformation or change management, and the industries you know best. Sorank proposes the problems buyers search for each pair and keeps two articles from competing for the same search.
Drafts wait for the partner who owns the topic, or go live on the days you set. Each article links to the matching service page, so a reader who agrees with the method knows what to buy.

SEO for consulting firms is the work that makes a firm visible when a future client researches a business problem: in the Google results, and in the answers of AI assistants such as ChatGPT. For a management consultancy it rests on three assets: service pages for each practice, articles that show how your people think about a problem, and a consistent footprint on the profiles and directories buyers check.
The market is crowded. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics counts 1077100 jobs for management analysts, "often called management consultants", in 2025, and projects 10% growth from 2025 to 2035 in its Occupational Outlook Handbook. Being findable on a precise problem is how a boutique firm stands out from that crowd.
They start alone, then check with people they trust. Forrester's State of Business Buying 2026 finds that generative AI searches are now the starting point for business buyers, and that a typical buying decision involves 13 internal stakeholders and nine external influencers. For a consulting engagement, that means an operations director, a finance director and a procurement lead may each read your articles before anyone calls you.
Referrals still matter, but the referred firm gets checked too. A partner who is recommended over dinner is searched the next morning: what the firm has published on the problem, and what ChatGPT says when asked about it, confirms or weakens the referral.

Mostly vendor documentation and professional profiles. In our consulting AI citation study, 6375 AI answers were measured between May and August 2026: Microsoft is the most cited platform at 5.77%, ahead of LinkedIn at 2.46% and Trustpilot at 2.45%. Many consulting questions start as tool or method questions, so the firms that document their own approach, in plain language and on their own site, appear next to those sources.
Two habits follow from it: publish the method behind each practice, and keep the partners' profiles consistent with the site (see our LinkedIn marketing strategy).
Sort them by what the buyer is trying to do:
Volumes are small and intent is high: one well-placed article on a niche problem can be worth more than a broad post on "strategy". Our guide to B2B SEO details the method.
Write about the problem and the method, never about the client. The IMC USA Code of Ethics asks consultants to treat confidential client information appropriately (clause 5.0) and not to advertise their services in a deceptive manner (clause 14.0). An article that explains how a pricing review works, with figures rounded and the sector described in general terms, respects both.
Name the author. Google recommends listing every author shown on the page in the markup, with a link to their profile, in its article structured data guide; a partner's name and credentials give buyers and assistants a reason to trust the page (see author authority). Our guide to thought leadership content covers the formats that work best.
Sorank handles keyword research by practice and sector, the articles with their sources and internal links, publication on your site live or as drafts, the monthly tracking of AI answers and your Search Console data in one dashboard. Your tone and vocabulary are set once in Brand Voice.
The firm keeps what only its people can provide: the partner review, the field examples, case studies cleared with clients, speaking and the partners' own networks. Firms that sell studies rather than advice have different searches: see our page for market research firms, and the one for independent coaches.
For one firm website, the Essential plan is $49 a month billed yearly or $99 without commitment, and covers 20 articles and 10 tracked AI prompts a month. Pro costs $129 a month billed yearly ($249 monthly) for 60 articles and 20 prompts, Business $249 ($499 monthly) for 120 articles and 50 prompts (see pricing). You can test any plan free for 3 days. Prices are per website, so a firm with one site needs one subscription, whatever the number of practices it covers.
Longer than for a local business, because the sales cycle is long. Google gives no fixed delay: a new article first earns impressions in Search Console, then clicks, and an enquiry may come months after the first visit, once the buying committee has formed. Judge each practice after a quarter on its impressions and clicks, and ask every new client how they first heard of the firm.
Yes. ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity build their answers from pages they find on the web, so a firm that explains its methods on its own site gives them something to quote. SEO now covers both the Google results and those answers.
Expect several months before articles bring steady visits, and longer before they turn into engagements, because buying committees take time. Judge each practice on its Search Console impressions and clicks after a quarter.
From $49 a month per website billed yearly, or $99 monthly, after a free 3-day trial. Higher plans raise the number of articles and tracked prompts, and add Grok.
Yes. Sorank can publish every article as a draft on your website, so the partner who owns the topic edits it, adds an example from the field and removes any client detail before it goes live.
Publish clear answers to the problems your buyers research, sign them with named experts, keep partner profiles consistent with your site, then track every month whether ChatGPT names your firm and which sources it quotes instead.
Yes. Sorank publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Wix and Shopify, and to any other site through a webhook, including sites built by a design agency.
We don't. Sorank isn't trying to be another Semrush or Ahrefs. Those tools are built for data, Sorank is built to do the work. Instead of more dashboards to check, it turns SEO and GEO insights into actions: articles written and published, backlinks earned, technical fixes and AI visibility tracking. Less complexity, more results.
From $49/month per website on a yearly plan, with a 3-day free trial and a 90-day money-back guarantee (conditions apply). Every plan includes articles, AI visibility tracking and access to natural backlink acquisition; higher plans add more articles, more AI prompts tracked and more backlinks. No setup fees, no paying for seats you don't use.
You shouldn't need a full marketing team or expensive tools to grow. Sorank handles your entire SEO and AI visibility, so you save time and money.
