Industrial equipment SEO is how a plant engineer sizing a compressor, a buyer comparing conveyor suppliers or a technician chasing a fault finds your company rather than a distributor or a rival brand. They search in technical terms, "screw vs piston compressor for a 50 hp load", "pump cavitation causes", "IP66 enclosure meaning", and more of them now ask ChatGPT for a shortlist before they send a request for quote. Sorank writes and publishes the answers on your site, and tracks which suppliers the AI assistants name.
Your engineers stay on their projects and only read the drafts you ask them to check.

"How to size an air compressor for a plant", "belt or roller conveyor for cartons", "variable speed drive savings on centrifugal pumps": engineers search the application before the brand. Sorank maps these searches into silos, one keyword per page, sorted by intent, difficulty and volume, so each product line gets its sizing guides, comparisons and application notes without two pages competing for the same query.
The map comes from keyword research on your product lines and on the pages of your competitors.
Once a machine is installed, the searches go on: "conveyor belt tracking to one side", "compressor shuts down on high temperature", "how often to change hydraulic oil". A maker that answers these questions on its own site stays in front of the technician when parts, service or a replacement are needed, instead of leaving the answer to a forum. Sorank writes one article per keyword, under the H1 you set, from the troubleshooting topics you list.
Generate them in batches with the blog article generator.

Ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude for "reliable industrial air compressor manufacturers in Europe" and you will not get the same names. Sorank runs the questions you choose every month and ranks every domain the assistants cite, with its visitors, keywords and Google position, so you see which rival brands and distributors fill the shortlist you are missing from.
Then study their keywords with SEO competitor spy.
WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Shopify, or a custom site through a webhook. Sorank reads your Search Console data to see which product lines, applications and model numbers already bring visits.
List the equipment you make or distribute, the industries it serves, the standards it meets and the countries you sell in. Sorank proposes the sizing, comparison and maintenance questions behind each line, ranked by volume and difficulty.
Keep drafts on for the first weeks so an application engineer checks the figures and tolerances, then let the calendar run. Each article links to the product page, the spec sheet and your request-for-quote form.
THEY TRIED SORANK BEFORE YOU

Industrial equipment SEO is the work that makes a maker or distributor of machines, pumps, compressors, conveyors or handling equipment appear when engineers and buyers research a purchase: in Google results and in the answers of AI assistants such as ChatGPT. It rests on product pages that state specifications in text, application and comparison content that answers technical questions, and documentation that keeps serving the machine once it is installed.
That last part is often forgotten. In the United States, industrial machinery mechanics, machinery maintenance workers and millwrights held about 547300 jobs in 2025, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 14% growth from 2025 to 2035. These are the people who install, maintain and repair factory equipment: they search a fault, a part or a service interval, and their opinion weighs when a machine has to be replaced.
Through a long and mostly silent research phase. An engineer defines the need, reads application notes and compares technologies; procurement then checks prices, lead times and service coverage; maintenance has its say on parts and support. Each of them searches differently, and much of that research happens before a sales engineer hears about the project. A supplier whose site answers each step clearly is already on the list when the request for quote goes out.
Google helps when your pages are explicit. Its documentation on product structured data separates merchant listings, "for pages where customers can purchase products from you", from product snippets, "for product pages where people can't directly purchase the product": the second type fits a machine sold on quotation. Our guide to structured data for AI search shows how assistants read the same markup.
Each model leans on its own sources. In our manufacturing AI citation study, based on 2000 answers measured in July and August 2026, the leading source changes with the model: Wikipedia for ChatGPT, at 6%, and Amazon for Gemini, at 7.75%, while Trustpilot appears in 2.9% of all answers. Our Amazon citation study shows how far that marketplace reaches beyond consumer goods.
For an equipment maker, this means three jobs: a precise, neutral definition of your technology that reference pages can rely on, accurate product data wherever your parts or smaller units are sold, and application pages on your own site that an assistant can quote. Sorank tracks ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude every month, plus Grok from the Pro plan, and shows which sources each answer used.
Our guides to keyword research for AI search and to B2B content marketing cover the method in detail.
From 20 January 2027, the Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 applies on a mandatory basis; machinery placed on the EU market before that date must comply with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. The European Commission notes that the regulation clarifies the conditions under which instructions for use and the declaration of conformity can be provided in digital form.
Manuals that move online can become pages that buyers and technicians find, as long as they are published as readable pages rather than scanned files. An article that explains what the change means for your machines, written with your compliance team, gives EU buyers a clear answer from the maker itself.
One application or one problem, answered with numbers. Open with the direct answer, then give the method: the inputs to collect, the formula or rule of thumb, a worked example, the limits of the method and the point where an application engineer should step in. Add a comparison table when two technologies compete, cite the standard or the source behind each figure, and link to the product page, the spec sheet and the quote form.
The same logic applies to specifications. A spec sheet locked in a PDF is hard to compare and hard to quote; a page that states capacity, power, dimensions, materials and certifications in a table lets an engineer check fit at a glance and gives an AI assistant a passage it can cite. Keep the PDF for download and put the key data on the page (our guide to PDF SEO explains why). Sorank writes on this structure in expert mode, and the scheduler can hold every article as a draft until your engineer has checked the figures.

Sorank handles the research of technical questions by product line and application, the writing and publication of the articles with internal links and sources, backlinks from other Sorank client sites, the monthly tracking of the AI answers, and your Search Console and Analytics data in one dashboard.
Your team keeps what needs product knowledge and a signature: product pages and spec sheets, CAD files and manuals, certifications and declarations of conformity, distributor listings, trade shows and sales follow-up, and the final check of every figure. Other industrial businesses search in their own way; compare with our pages for machinery manufacturers, manufacturers and engineering firms.
The Essential plan costs $49 a month per website billed yearly, or $99 month to month, with 20 articles and 10 tracked AI prompts. For a catalog with several product lines and export markets, Pro ($129 a month billed yearly) publishes 60 articles and adds Grok, and Business ($249) publishes 120. A 3-day free trial and the 90-day results-or-refund guarantee apply to every plan, as the pricing page details.
Longer than in consumer markets, because the buying cycle is longer. Google gives no fixed delay: a new article first gathers impressions in Search Console, then clicks, and a project researched this quarter may only become a request for quote after budget approval. Judge each product line after three months of publishing on impressions and clicks, then on the quote requests that came through the articles.
Count several months before articles bring steady visits, and longer before they show up in quote requests, since industrial purchases need budget approval. Judge each product line on its Search Console impressions after three months.
From $49 a month per website on the yearly Essential plan, or $99 month to month, with 20 articles a month and a 3-day free trial. Catalogs with several lines usually need Pro (60 articles) or Business (120 articles).
Sorank writes with sources, worked examples and comparison tables in expert mode, from the product data and instructions you give it. Keep articles as drafts so an application engineer checks figures and tolerances before they go live.
Give the assistants material they can trust: clear application pages, specifications in text, a neutral explanation of your technology and accurate listings wherever you sell. Then track every month whether ChatGPT names your brand for questions such as "best industrial dust collector manufacturers".
Start with the applications and sizing questions of your best-selling line, then the comparisons with competing technologies, then troubleshooting and spare parts for the machines already installed at your customers.
No. Sorank publishes articles on your blog through WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Shopify or a webhook, and links them to your product pages, spec sheets and quote form. The catalog itself stays with your team.
We don't. Sorank isn't trying to be another Semrush or Ahrefs. Those tools are built for data, Sorank is built to do the work. Instead of more dashboards to check, it turns SEO and GEO insights into actions: articles written and published, backlinks earned, technical fixes and AI visibility tracking. Less complexity, more results.
From $49/month per website on a yearly plan, with a 3-day free trial and a 90-day money-back guarantee (conditions apply). Every plan includes articles, AI visibility tracking and access to natural backlink acquisition; higher plans add more articles, more AI prompts tracked and more backlinks. No setup fees, no paying for seats you don't use.
You shouldn't need a full marketing team or expensive tools to grow. Sorank handles your entire SEO and AI visibility, so you save time and money.
