# Connect Google Analytics to Sorank

> Doc Sorank - Google Analytics

Not sure where your visitors come from or how they interact with your site? **Google Analytics** is Google's free tool that lets you analyze visitor behavior and understand if they come from Google, social media, or AI.

## Create Your Google Analytics Account

1. Search for **Google Analytics** on Google and click the first link.
2. Click **Sign in to Google Analytics** in the top right corner, then click **Start measuring**.
3. Create a new account by entering your site name, time zone, and currency.
4. Select **Small business** as your business type and **Internet & Telecom** as your industry.
5. Check the first four objectives, accept the terms, and connect your site by entering its URL.

## Install the Tracking Tag on Your Site

After creation, Google provides you with a **tracking tag**. You have two options to install it:

* **Option 1:** Copy the full code and paste it in the **Head Code** section of your CMS (Webflow, WordPress, Shopify, etc.).
* **Option 2:** Use only the **Measurement ID** (format: G-XXXXXXXXX) in the dedicated field of your CMS.

Publish your site, then go back to Google Analytics and click **Test installation** to verify the tag is working.

## Connect Google Analytics to Sorank

1. On Sorank, go to **Settings > Integration**.
2. Click on **Google Analytics** then **Connect**.
